How do I retrieve photos from adobe storage to my new hard drive?

My hard drive crashed and I lost all my data and pics. The pics are stored in a 20gig file on the adobe cloud. The software does not show me how to bring those pics back to my new hard drive. Anyone got a solution?

You can use the free trial on jumpdesk.com and then if it works for you, buy it in the app store.

Do you want to copy some pictures to the external drive, or do you want to move your whole iPhoto library? The latter will free up hard drive space on your start up disk; the procedure is explained here:

Note this is not the same as a Time Machine backup.
If on the other hand you want to copy some photos from one drive to another, you can just drag and drop them from one location to another. This is a true copy, the originals will remain intact.

I took all the steps for restoring my Mac with the Time Capsule since my backup is stored in it. I was expecting the magic with the help of the migration assistent program. But everything comes to an halt because the new hdd in my Mac runs Snow Leopard. I can not install Lion on it. I tried it with the App Store (and some tricks) and even the migration assistent tried to install it but then called it an error...!
So for now I am stuck withe the assistent telling me to reinstall Lion and a Time Capsule who want connect to the computer anymore

Hi, Im am trying to migrate photos from a locked version of Adobe Photoshop Album starter Edition to Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, I have tried Windows Explorer search with no luck, and despite being able to see the file names in the Starter Edition before the register page covers it. Thanks Pat, I've tried that to no success (quite a few different ways) even though I can see the file name in the page before the registration page covers it, and the *.jpg brings up over 32000 files, the problem here is that some images I know are also duplicated in the "my digital photos" file but how do I know if they are all there? there are over 4700 photos in the Album starter catalogue.The frustrating thing is I know they are somewhere perhaps safely in the "My digital photos" but what is making me wonder is my new Photoshop Elements 11 keeps reminding me of missing files??

Restore the media on the new computer using the backup of your media from your old computer.
The iPod, like all iDevices is not a storage device, it is merely a mirror of the content in your iTunes library.
If not backup exists:
On the new computer, sign into your iTunes account and Authorize the computer.
Cconnect the iPod but do not sync.
Select File > Transfer purchases.
Any media not purchased from iTunes or ripped from CD's will be lost, but at least you will retain your iTunes purchases.

Boot your computer and immediately hold down command, option and R (three keys together). This gets you connected with internet recovery.

This process installs an OS on your blank drive. You can then boot from the fresh OS installation and restore from your Time Machine back up.

New computer: how do I retrieve photos from different Time Machine backups?

I use Time capsule to back up my iMac & my Macbook Pro. My old Macbook Pro "died" last week and right now I'm setting up my new one. I have copied the files & documents I need from my old laptop and my iMac without any problems (though it took a surprisingly long time considering the small amount of docs I copied). I have however not copied any applications or photos.
My question is: how to I retrieve photos from the different Time Machine back ups (iMac & old laptop) to my new computer without messing up? It would be especially "cool" if I could retrieve only some of the photos.
(I don't know if this has any importance, but my old Macbook Pro was & current iMac is running on Leopard and the new Macbook Pro on Snow Leopard).

Your best bet is to start over; erase the new Mac's internal HD, reinstall OSX, then use Setup Assistant to transfer your stuff. It's the fastest and most reliable way to do it. See How do I set up a new Mac from my old Mac or its backups?, especially the green "Second Chance" box.

To restore the entire library do the following:
For a single photo you need to know the file name? If so you can extract photos one at a time out of the TM backups for import into iPhoto. You would do it as follows:
1 - download and launch Find Any File.
2 - select the Time Machine external hard drive.
3 - enter the file name and search. It will take longer than a normal search due to the nature of the Time Machine structure, maybe up to 1 miinute.
