How do I retroactively tag a photo with a Facebook profile?

I tagged a number of photos before we "friended" on Facebook and would like to connect that profile to her Facebook profile, now that we friended. How do I retroactively get that set up?

You should be able to easily remove the background from the image as follows.
Grabbing an image of an apple that has the continents carved into it, which is the image on the left, I used the 16 colors tracing preset which resulted in the image on the right.
With the traced image selected, press the expand button in the tracing options and you'll end up with an editable vector version of the original image.
With this still selected you need to ungroup all the objects which you can do by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + G, or from the menu by Object > Ungroup.
Using the selection tool, click on all the objects/background items around the main image you want to delete.
Then press the delete key to delete the outer objects so you're left with only what you want to keep and send to the printer.
In the image above I added the teal box behind the apple so you can see that the background is gone and it's only the apple that's left. This process works for anything you trace in Illustrator regardless of the background color(s).

• How do I take 300 dpi photos with my iPhone 4s? And how do I export them to my MacBook Pro at 300 dpi to use as I want to print photos.

How do I take 300 dpi photos with my iPhone 4s?
And how do I export them to my MacBook Pro at 300 dpi to use as I want to print photos.
I have been using the standard camera on the iPhone and require 300 dpi to create photo books as the photos are resized according the layout.
Your time and assistance in appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks Tonefox!
After looking at a few of the links I found a mathematical equation that assisted me.
Inches = Pixels/DPI
eg: 3 inches = 300 pixels/100 DPI
Using this equation and the fact that iPhone 4s takes photos that are 3264 x 2448 I was able to work out the largest print I could make with 300 DPI.
Width 3264 pix/ 300 DPI = 10.88 inches
Height 2448 pix/ 300 DPI = 8.16 inches
Therefore, the largest print (with 300DPI) I can make of these photos is 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches.
Which is great!
So is it critical for me to change the dpi in say photoshop or does it not matter as long as I don't go above the 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches?
From what I can gather the smaller I resize the photo the higher the DPI and the bigger I stretch the photo the lower the DPI?
Further clarification will be much appreciated. Thanks

• How do i view photos in macbook pro, and while viewing how can i delete the unwanted photos with delete button?

1 My questions are about viewing and managing photos from a folder.
a. How do i view photos in macbook pro - i know the space bar thingy but does not help my purpose?
b. While viewing how can i delete the unwanted photos with delete button?
c. How can i increase the size of the photos that i am seeing in the form of icons?

double clicking in iPhoto will open the photo.
The left and right arrow key will move between photos, as well as swiping on a trackpad or Apple mouse.
See >System Preference>Trackpad or mouse for options and tut
While selected or in the smaller icon view hitting the Delete key will delete the pic.
Command Z will undo the last action taken.
Periodically you have to empty the iPhoto trash. iPhoto drop down menu>empty trash
Same applies for viewing pics in a Folder NOT in iphoto, Use the up and down arrows does not work in Preview, but as you know in QuickLook (spacebar) the up and down arrows will navigate.

• How do I share from the photo stream to Facebook in iPhoto?

So, I have a photo in my photostream and on my iphone - in iPhoto '11 9.5 (902.7) running on Mavericks 10.9 (13A598) I select that photo and then try to share it to my Facebook account, which IS set up correctly in iPhoto. All I get is the annoying "clunk" sound. In iphoto, it shows the correct date the photo was taken, along with the correct location the photo was taken. But iPhoto won't share to Facebook from the iCloud photostream.
I would share the photo from my iPhone (iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.3), but apparently the Photo app on iOS is too simplistic to pull the location data from the photo and fill out the location data, and will only let me enter things near my current location, which is idiotic when the phone and iOS itself created a photo with embedded location data.
Am I doing somthing wrong here? Is it even possible to share from the Photostream to Facebook in the latest version of iPhoto? Why doesn't the Photo app on the iPhone use the location data that it (the iPhone camera app) put there in the first place? Or am I simply expecting too much from Apple products and software?

Thanks, that was the problem. Hope they rethink that, seems kind of redundant when they want us to stay in the cloud - they just put it in an event named "Month Year Photostream".

• How do I manually update a contact with their Facebook?

I signed on in settings into Facebook, I also have my Facebook app up to date.
My contacts list correctly synced about 40% of my contacts with the correct Facebook account - with their profile picture etc.
One contact is incorrect, I have no idea how that happened, their names and profiles are totally different.
The problem is now that I'm trying to update my phone contacts with their Facebook counterpart it simply won't work.
If I type in say John Smith it won't find the person, if I go to their Facebook page and find out the username eg john.smith.9 it still won't work, I tried going back into settings and updating contacts but still nothing?!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to download 500 Facebook 'friends' just to update the ones in my phone book so I get their profile pic etc.
Thanks

• How can reattach keyword tags to photos after switching to PSE11

I recently upgraded from vista to windows 8.
I then upgraded from Photoshop elements 9 (I think) to Photoshop elements 11. I had catalogs and pictures scattered in different places so one of the options was just too gather all of the photographs on the hard drive and start a new catalog. It worked, and so all of my pictures are under one catalog name which is perfect. The key word tag categories are listed as I had sent them up in the previous version, but none of the photos are actually labeled with their keyword tax. How can I reattach the tags to the pictures.
I appreciate any help I can get with this thank you.

Here is the link:
http://johnrellis.best.vwh.net/psedbtool/
and mor precisely
http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/#_Writing_File_Metadata
Unfortunately, as you can see, that tool has not been updated to PSE9. Its advantage for writing the tags is that the organizer (all versions) does only add tags to the files without replacing the old tags while psedbtool replaces the tags.
If you have not yet used the 'write metadata to files' feature in PSE9, you don't need psedbtool.
Another note for PSE11 users:
That behaviour of the organizer has not been changed, but you can use another tool to erase tags for a batch of selected files.
In the information panel on the right, expand the 'metadata' section, and click on the rightmost icon to get detailed view. Expand the IPTC section. Click on the 3 dots icon to open the IPTC dialog. There you can choose to delete all keywords.
Or:
After selecting your pictures, click on the 'Add IPTC data' button in the information panel.

• How Can I Make A Large Photo with Product Detail for My Thumbnails in Dreamweaver

Hello All:
New to Dreamweaver, so my code knowledge does not exist yet. Have Mercy!!!!
Anyway , I am making a typical product page.
I prefer that when people click the thumbnail product photo to not have to click into another brower.
Nowadays you are able to click in what is commonly called a "Quick View" that pops up and gives you a full sized
image along with product detail, and pricing. That's all I want.
How can I link this [the larger photo and product detai] to my thumbnails in Dreamweaver????
I want the look that is on every website like Target, Macy, etc.
Someone, please help me to !!!!!!!
These lil' faces are really cute. They are helping me to smile after hours and days, weeks of frustration. TWIN MADDOG!!!

Hi,
don't understand your problem, ore hope to understand it right. You could put the images on a DW file and link to another file with the larger image and where you have written all your informations.
I made this here only for a new, larger image (without additional informations):

• How do Lightroom users manage sharing photos with family?

I'm just looking for some best practices about how to handle the workflow of sharing photos. Obviously the Lightroom user doesn't want family members to start messing around with the photos outside of Lightroom, and if the photos are not JPGs family members might not be able to view them anyway. One solution I can think of is to shoot all photos in JPG and in Camera Raw at the same time and save the JPGs to a folder available to everyone and only import the Camera Raw ones into Lightroom.

This is a possible solution, but by doing this, family members will not be able to see changes you applied to the photos from within LR.
Another option would be to export your LR inventory (or parts of it) regularely to a specific folder, where others can access the JPEGs/TIFFs.
In LR 3, this can be somewhat automated by using the Publish Services to harddisk, where only changed photos are exported again a second or successive time.
A different approach could also be LRViewer, which lets you view images in a LR catalog from the previews without accessing the originals and without being able to change anything on them.

• How best to retroactively bind a schema with a developed form

Hello all,
I am having a big problem. This is the first time we have developed an e-form with Adobe LiveCycle. I discovered only too late that best practice is to produce a schema for a form before development. However we were also told that you can retroactively bind a schema by creating a data connection and drag and dropping nodes onto the corresponding fields. In this way I have bound nodes to one subform and left the rest of the form unbound. When trying to load xml that has been generated by this form back into the form we get the following error messages:
"Wrong type parameter supplied to a PDS procedure"
"There was a problem reading this document"
We just get a blank screen in the browser.
I have run a test with a brand new form with a data connection to the same schema and all of the fields auto generated. Reloading this form with XML generated from the form works fine. The problem seems to lie with the fact I am trying to bind to my large and heavily developed form.
Have you guys ever come across similar problems?
The developed form hierarchy is quite different to the structure of the xml generated by the form against the schema definition. I have assumed that this does not matter as the hierarchy is not considered when there is a data connection. Is this correct?
Redeveloping the form is not an option at this stage so I will be very grateful for assistance.
Best wishes,
Kieran Kelly

As you mentioned the best practice is to have the schema ready before the development. But you can still bind a schema to the form after development.
I think since you did not bind all the fields in the form to the schema, it is not giving you back the proper XML structure expected. It will only give you the tags that are bound to the fields.
If you still have issues, you can upload the document I can have a look at it..
Steps to upload the document
1) goto acrobat.com website
2) login with your Adobe login/password.
3) In Actions you will find Upload. Select your form and upload.
4) After uploading, select form name in All Files section and right click and select share.
5) Check the checkbox "Allow anyone with a link to view this document".
6) Copy the URL link and post it in the forum.
Thanks

• How can I activate full screen photo viewing on Facebook with Firefox as the browser?

I recently was made aware that Firefox, along with Chrome, supports full screen viewing of photos on Facebook. It worked great on Chrome up until about three days ago, and now all images I try to look at in Full Screen mode are made so huge, I have to scroll to see the whole thing, or use the CTRL + - three times to make it fit, and then everything else after I'm done looking at the photo is so small I have to use CTRL + + to get things big enough to view. But that very well could be a Chrome problem. My question for this forum is why the Full Screen Viewing option is not available on my Firefox browser, which has been recently updated to the most current version available? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the reply cor-el, but I don't think you understood the question. No matter, because now the full screen viewing of photos in Facebook is now working while using Firefox. Still doesn't work with Chrome like it did and should, so now I will be using Firefox instead. :)

• How do you batch edit still photos with panning/zooming effect in FCP X?

Hi,
I was making a slideshow with a lot of photos. I had to manually add two keyframes in each photo (one in the beginning and one at the end), and then manually adjusted the scale/position for each photo so they pan/zoom during the slideshow.
Is it possible to accomplish the samething with multiple photos in a batch? It would sure save a lot of time. Thanks.
Regards,
Nelson

Build the effect that you want on one photo.
Right click that photo on the Timeline and choose Copy.
Select the other photos that you want to have the same effect.
Right click one of them and choose Paste Attributes.
In the Attributes dialog, place a check mark next to those you want. In the case of the effect described in your post, that would be Motion Attributes. If you had also included Filter effects such as color correction, you would check those too.

• How to add alt tags to photos in iWeb?

How do I do this? Both for accessability and to allow users to hover over the image and get a caption.
Thank you!

You have to post process your html pages (editing after publishing).
You need to add title inside some html tags, three that I know of:
1. img src tag
2. a href tag
3. area href tag
ie:
a href="javascript:void(0)" title="blah blah"
or
img src="blah blah" title="blah blah"
Now, the bad part is that you have to do this EVERY time you publish your sites.
unless, you have a script to do heavy lifting

• How does iPhoto'11 maps modified photo with corresponding original photo?

Hello,
I see that every picture I edit in iPhoto, iPhoto keeps 2 copies of it - 1) of course the edited/modifed version 2) Original version, so that I can come back later and still get the original copy.
1. But I think it takes up a lot of space of local hard drive and I would iPhoto to only keep the final edited/modified version. Is there a way to set iPhoto property like this?
2. I would also like to know how iPhoto maps original version to the modified version, if there an xml that I can see? I would like to filter out my current photo collection. Suppose I have 1000 pictures and out of 1000, I modified 700. So iPhoto has 1700 pictures, so what I would like to do is that keep the modified version (700) and only 300 of the original. This way hard drive will be used only for 1000 pictures and I could save a lot.
Please help!
Cheers

1. But I think it takes up a lot of space of local hard drive and I would iPhoto to only keep the final edited/modified version. Is there a way to set iPhoto property like this?
No. Best advice if that's what you want is to use another application for your photos. iPhoto treats the original file like a film shooter treats the negative - it preserves it at all costs. It's also necessary for the non-destructive editing feature. If you're concerned about disk space you need to be realistic: Digitial Photoography requires a lor of space going forward. You can run an iPhoto Library from an external disk:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.
As Larry says, the relationship is tracked in the SQL database. Forget about trying to do what you want via this method. FOr a start, hacking the db won't delete anything. You'll still have to go in to the folders and delete the files. Here's a tedious way to do it: Export everything using any setting except Originals, empty the library and then re-import what you exported. Repeat endlessly everytime you edit. Be prepared for dataloss when you make a mistake in the process.
But really, doing what you want to do is exactly what iPhoto is designed not to do. Rather than trying to fix a spreadsheet so you can write your novel, wouldn't it be better to just use a Word Processor?

Just store the HTML as plain text in your database. Using
htmlentities()
turns < into < and so on. Using it is what's
preventing your HTML
from displaying correctly.
