How can I restore the functionality of the Bookmarks shortcut. I DO NOT LIKE internet explorer, it is cumbersome and slow. How can I modify the bookmarks shortcut to act like a menu again? I do not like the bookmarks and history pop-out... Firefox was above the bar, now I have 2 copies of internet explorer on my computer, one with an icon that looks like an E and one that looks like my old firefox browser.... This was a result of the update 23.0.1 this morning, it was perfect when I went to bed last night.... Maybe I should use Chrome?

On a Mac, how do I delete RSS from the bookmarks menu?

Don't try to remove items in the feeds folder. 
You need to remove the bookmark (parent folder of the feed items) that defines the feed folder (Feed Location= xxx) to remove a feed.

Do you mean on the classic menu bar? (File, Edit, View...) To display the menu bar, you can use any of these methods:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar > Menu Bar
* right-click the "+" button on the tab bar > Menu Bar
* tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar, then View > Toolbars > Menu Bar
* click the "3-bar" menu button and use Customize to access the Show/Hide Toolbars list
If you meant on the toolbar, the icon changed in Firefox 29. You should find a star, and next to it, something that looks like a clipboard. It's that button on the right which drops down your Bookmarks menu list from the toolbar.

How can I save a web page without creating a dozen or more tiny files, which is worse than Internet Explorer?

When I try to save a Firefox web page, I get about a dozen tiny files with funny names cluttering up my documents folder, and making it hard to find anything. This reminds me of problems I used to have with Internet Explorer more than ten years ago. But at least, IE was kind enough to gather all of these files in a single folder, named "files". Firefox dumps them all into my documents folder. Messy.
Years ago, I discovered Opera, which offered a file format that combined the original html code with the other files into one file: an internet archive, with the extension mht instead of htm. I used Opera for years, but recently became aware of the advantages of Firefox.
A few days ago, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and installed it. I have been evaluating it ever since. It looks good; I have figured out (more or less) how bookmarks work, and I'm getting used to the taskbars.
But when I try to save a page, I still get a deluge of tiny files cluttering up the target folder. Firefox doesn't save pages in archive form, but only in the old scattered form. Of course, I could simply save only the html. Maybe that's the best thing, but it loses a lot.
The chaos of junky files cluttering up my target folder is enough to send me back to Opera, despite its limitations.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Tiny screen for context menu, bookmarks menu, and firefox menu is destroying usability.

When ever I bring up a menu on Firefox, I get a screen shot of the entire screen compacted into the menu that I am trying to use. If I click a menu in my bookmarks bar, I get a compacted screen shot of my browser overlaying the bookmarks menu.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

A newer version of Firefox will not bring back what you purposely deleted.
But if you are not displaying the Bookmarks Toolbar then you might want to display it because that is where the original is/was. (see additional comment at bottom)

From the iTunes menu bar try View>Show View Options. Make sure what you want to see is checked and what you don't is unchecked. You can do this (may need to do this) for any playlists, your main Library, etc.

I can open up a photo from my "Pictures" file In Internet Explorer, copy it, then paste it into the body of my email message ( I use Earthlink webmail). I see the picture fine.
When I try to do the same procedure by opening, copy and pasting in Firefox, a box appears with a photo icon, but no photo. Even when I press "view image" it will not show the picture.
What am I missing?
