How do I rotate my movie 90%

We took video with our digital camera and had it turned. Now whenever I open it the video is side ways.
How do I rotate it 90%?
Help!
Lindy

I have used the older Windows Media Encoder in Win98SE to make wmv files after I first converted the .mov file to an uncompressed avi file in QT Pro. You might want to see if Movie Maker will work with avi files and export wmv. With QT Pro you also can convert a .mov file to DVStream if that is needed for Movie Maker. I only have acess to WIN98SE so I can't try Movie Maker myself.
I also noticed that earler in this thread I said Pro costs $20. In fact it has always cost $30. Sorry about the goof.

Thanks for the question. I see you are using a Mac mini, if you have iMovie you can rotate the video utilizing the following resource:

I am trying to rotate/move a title downward in imovie and am not sure how to. I have imovie '11.

    Hi
Or if You want to elaborate a bit more You can first
    • make a project where You set text
    • Then Export this as full quality QuickTime .mov
    • Import this new clip and start a new project where You apply Ken-Burns
OR MAY BE doing it the other way around will work better - don't think that Ken-Burns can be applied last
AnyHow - by Export and Import as a part of process one can make extreamly complex sceens.

  • How to rotate a movie

The Quick Time Player instructions say: go to Window, then Show Movie Properites, Select Video Track, Visual Settings and Rotate Buttons.
I can get as far as Select Video Track. There is no tab with Visual Settings. So how do I rotate a movie?

Once you "select" the video track (single click on it) the Visual Settings tab will appear in the lower half of the Movie Properties window.

Drag the clip from your Event to your Project. Then use the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool on the Middle Toolbar to rotate it

  • How to Rotate a Movie Clip

I was taking a clip of Old Faithful and due to the height I turned my camera sideways, figuring I could rotate the video once I got it into iMovie.
Well, I can't figurer out how and when I enter "rotate" into iMovie help, it comes up with nothing useful.
I'm running a current update of iMovie 6 HD.
Anyone got any idea or some shareware that can rotate a movie clip?

Search this forum for "movie, rotate, plugin." This topic comes up a lot and there are some free plugins to deal with it. One thread to read is
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2561075&#2561075
Although, I gather, the free plugins don't work quite as well as QT Pro.
I was very happily surprised that the software which came with my Canon can do this. Canon's ImageBrowser has a utility called MovieEdit Task that can do simple editing, including rotating clips 90 degrees.

  • How do i rotate the shape

how do i rotate the image in draw

How is hiding such basic functionality as rotate 2 clicks deep in Adobe Draw better than how it was handled in Adobe Ideas? This really makes the process a whole lot slower. Why not put that functionality right there in the base tool bar or at the very least give users the choice to add it to the forefront tools so we don't have to go clicking through the equivalent of sub-menus. It's a waste of time.
Further more losing the arrows to undo from the tool bar and replacing that functionality with a two finger swipe is also slower. If you want any level of precision you use a stylus to draw with, so please once again give the user the choice to add those in through a pref setting because it's faster to click with the stylus than it is to swipe with two fingers when you're holding a stylus. And attempting to do it with your non-dominant hand means you'll keep accidentally drawing a line so it actually makes the whole process slower.
Also removing the ability to email a simple PDF is just a step backwards. Your twitter account said that will be coming back but who is the genius that thought that was a smart move to lose that functionality? I use that literally all the time when I use Adobe Ideas. So the sooner the better on getting that back.
And lastly your iconography for the tools. Be a bit more literal to communicate better. For example your erase tool I thought was an empty zone I could some how create and save my own nib too. (That is functionality that would be cool BTW) So the icon was a huge fail since that is suppose to be an eraser. Make it look like an eraser. This is UX 101. Give users the choice to add the eraser to the tool palette so it's a quicker access, you know like reality the eraser is always right there when you're drawing it's not filed away in a cup with my other pens.
Send to Illustrator is pretty brilliant. That is working very well.

  • I paid for Quicktime Pro but only show Quicktime. I need to rotate a movie.

I have registered successfully with the license code they sent me after I paid for Quicktime Pro. The email from them says that I now have Quicktime Pro, but still I only show regular Quicktime, not Quicktime Pro.
I DO HAVE A NEW DELL LAPTOP SO THIS MAY BE OPERATOR ERROR.
I'd like to be able to rotate a movie but the directions I have don't work for regular Quicktime.
I found directions online that tell me to open Quicktime Pro. Go to "Window". Then to "Show Movie Properties" then to the icons for rotating a movie.
I can get as far as "Show Movie Properties" but after that there is a strange chart and nothing about rotating anything.
How do I get the Quicktime Pro to show up instead of regular Quicktime?
Thanks in advance for any help you may give to me.

Thank you for responding! Unfortunately, it doesn't give me this option. When I go to "Windows" and then to "Show Movie Properties" and I click on the video, nothing happened other than it is highlighted in blue. I tried clicking once. Nada. Twice Nada. I tried right clicking. Nothing comes up. The options I have are below. Is this making any sense to you? Thanks.
    <Extract Delete Columns
Name Start Time Stop Time Duration Data Size Data Rate Sample Count Channels
Format Sample Rate Sample Size Timecode Start Time Timecode Stop Time>
Shouldn't my program say Quicktime Pro?

  • How do I rotate an .mts (AVCHD Lite) video clip 90 degrees?

How do I rotate an .mts (AVCHD Lite) video clip 90 degrees? It's a video taken in the portrait orientation with a digital camera. I can open the .mts video clip in VLC player for Mac, but I don't see any editing options relevant to this.

If it will play with QuickTime Player, then you can rotate it with QuickTime Pro.
    <http://www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/>
It provides a key to enable extra functions in QuickTime Player 7 (Utilities folder).
Click "Show Movie Properties" in the "Window" menu, select the video track, then the "Visual Settings" tab. Select the desired rotation, then "Save As" from the "File" menu.

  • How do you rotate the PDF you created in Acrobat but keep everything on the page from rotating?

How do you rotate the PDF you created in Acrobat but keep everything on the page from rotating with it?
I made a very complex form, but have decided it would be best to have it as a portrait instead of landscape.
Of course, when I rotate it, everything on the form is turned sideways.

Assuming that you created the form fields in Acrobat and those were just imposed on top of a document that you created from another application you might try these steps:
    1. Create a new PDF in landscape from the original document.
    2. Copy the form fields from the previous document to the new document.
    3. Move the fields to the proper locations.
At least I think this has a chance of working. You might give it a try on a single page or such.

  • How is this rotation done?

    Hi there.
I need to learn how this rotation was done:
    http://www.steves-digicams.com/2003_reviews/cd500_qtvr.html
A year or so ago someone said it was done by taking ± 8
    photos or so and
then use flash or something else to do this.
I will really appreciate it if there is someone who can help
    me out.

  • How do I make multiple movies look like one?

I created a demo of 136 slides with mostly screencaps and one
small flash animation. The final published flash file is
approximately 30MB. When the demo is run on multiple computers, the
CPU utilization rises up to almost 100%, this makes the demo run
very slowly on most computers. I was advised to cut my captivate
movie in half ( in slides)... however even then the CPU utilization
is quite high. How can I break my demo into multiple linked movies
(to bring down the file size) but still have it play smoothly
without it stopping to load after each new movie? How do I make
    multiple movies look like one?
    Thank you.

Would it work to make the navigation of the page go to the
    next movie?
