How do i rubber band audio?

i am tryin to bleep out swear words, and i have applied tone, but need to rubber band the bits of audio to lower them slightly, as i can still clearly hear the words coming through, i dont even know how to see the rubber banding on the timeline

For your bleeping, though, you might do better by "cutting in" the tone right over the offending word
Lock down your video track, use In and Out to define the bad word in the audio track and Overwrite the bleep .. that way you are getting rid of the voice endtirely

  • Wacom and rubber banding the audio

Anybody else  - Wacom users - having issues with rubber banding the audio using a Wacom? It's very unresponsive for me, as well as a few other areas within Premeire. Can't recall off hand, but the rubber banding is a big issue.
Any tips or fixes for this?
    Thanks!

My understanding was that traditionally, it was us PC'ers that had the constant issues with crashes, bits of the program not working, and puzzling out the "if the audio2 track stops working on a Blue Tuesday in October, AND you've got a new set of Windows OS updates ... it could be this, that, or ... you're screwed." (We of course constantly heard how we should give up that stupid p-o-s Ms stuff and get a real machine & software ... ad infinitum.)
The last year or so it seems the number of Mac user irregularities have skyrocketed. There's quite a few Mac users who had issues, found a roll-back release point for their OS and have stuck with it. My sympathies ... been there done that got the scars ...

How do I unprotect my audio files so I can upload them to garage band on my iPhone and use them

    Hi Chris,
Format the flash drive in FAT32, save the file as you would normally and transfer it to the flash drive, then the PC. It should work fine unless one of the Word apps is older.

  • How can I disable rubber band scrolling?

How can I disable rubber band scrolling?
    Regards

    hm...
I'm having an issue with a bouncing or "creeping" effect when I type in TextEdit; after having ugraded to Snow Leopard.
I'm now cross-posting a bit, I can't find my way around here; doing the best I can:
While typing in an rtfd new file, as I'm on the first line, the page starts creeping down until it's the very bottom line. When I get to the end of the line and it wraps, the page jumps up to about 5 or 6 lines and each few letters I type on the new line cause it to creep back down so it's the bottom line, until I get to the end of the next line, where I get a 5-6-line jump again, and then the creep again. This has to be one of the most annoying things ever, and makes me want to go get a different text editor. I use TextWrangler, but I've become used to TextEdit for quick things, and for a few specific things, but now I'm not loving it anymore.
    Help please?
    Mitch

  • No rubber bands on audio tracks

Weird thing. I can't see the rubber bands on individual audio clips after setting them to "show clip volume".  If I set them to "show track volume" they appear.  The problematic tracks seem to be in left and right channels when they were originally recorded in mono on zoom H1's and H2's.  Any ideas?

    I can't reproduce this.
Try creating a new sequence and Copy/Paste everything into that.

  • How do I disable elastic (rubber band) scrolling in Safari 8 for Yosemite?

I've Googled and found tons of responses for 10.9 (no luck), and 10.8 (defaults commands), but I didn't see anything Yosemite-specific.
This is driving me nuts, any solution would be acceptable, even third party apps, CLI commands, what-have you.  If it's relevant, I'm using an MBP's trackpad.
Example of what I'm talking about:

The worst part about the rubber banding is it blocks you from scrolling until it snaps back. It's infuriating!

  • How can I turn off TERRIBLE Rubber band scrolling

Rubber band scrolling makes using Safari unbearable for me. I have a Magic Mouse and I rest my finger on it all the time. The SLIGHTEST quiver of my finger and the web page shakes and shimmies. It drives you to distraction. I can find no way to turn if off AND keep the ability to scroll up and down.
Please please please can someone help me.

There is currently no way to turn bouncy scrolling off.
Please file a bug against Apple to have them provide an option to turn scroll bounce off:

  • How do you know the audio level of a keyframes

I'm varying the audio levels of clips on the timeline by creating keyframes using the pen tool. I create four points:
    1) -inf = beginning of fade-in
    2) -5dB = end of fade-in
    3) -5db = beginning of fade-out
    4) -inf = end of fade-out
But when I'm going back to adjust points, how do I know what level they're at already without having to drag them away from their home position and then back?
Scrolling over them with the mouse (and not clicking) just gives me a crosshair and no info.
I want to make sure that points 2&3 are at the same level, so I can just move the envelope region between them up and down to change the volume. Any quick way to do this to speed up my process?

Specifically to address this point: if you mouse over the audio levels' rubber band segment BETWEEN your points 2) and 3) until the cursor changes to an up/down adjustment arrow ⬍, and move it up/down, it will adjust BOTH the levels at 2) and 3), maintaining the relative difference between them (or, if points 2) and 3) start at the same level, this adjustment will keep them equal as you drag them both up/down together in one action.)
As usual, much easier to DO it, rather than describe it!

  • Mavericks: disable rubber band scroll bouncing

Now that I have to use Mavericks every day in the office, the insipid rubber band scroll bouncing is simply maddening.
It's distracting, annoying, useless and a constant drain on focus.
Please, for the love of cute puppies, does anyone know how to turn this off?
Sadly, defaults write -g NSScrollViewRubberBanding -int 0 has no effect in Mavericks, while it did before in previous OSes.
Honestly, just a setting to turn off all the sliding, popping, jumping, darting, swooping graphics and cascading NSOutlineViews would make me actually enjoy using the Mac again.
I want to get work done, not get distracted by excess motion all over my screen.
    Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?

I have tried multiple terminal commands as well. It worked for Chrome, but my Mail messages are driving me nuts bouncing all over the place! There must be way to turn this off!
Just tried Tinker Tools which is supposed to remove bounce in all apps (except Safari) and it didn't work for Mail either. It's almost unuseable this way unless I want a headache after reading 5 messages.  Stupid Apple.

  • CS4: rubber-band option missing using pen tool

I'm missing the rubber band option using the pen tool. I often used that feature in earlier versions. But CS4 Extended seems to not have it anymore. Help tells me it should be in the options palette once you activate the pen tool. I don't have it, though. How can I access that option? Thanx.

... and the same place as CS1. I found it. I was looking for a checkbox and didn't try to click on the small triangle next to the pen-tools. Thanks!

  • Drag and release for rubber band box ...

I using Firefox mobile on a Nokia N900 (latest version 1.1) and I am trying to access a mapping site that supports the use of a rubber-band-box to define an area on the map into which you want to zoom. On the desktop you place your pointer at a corner of your desired area of interest, press the left mouse button, drag the pointer (the web site draws a box tracking your pointer) and then release to define the zoom region. My question is ... how do I do the same thing using mobile Firefox on the N900? The built-in microB browser "simulates" a mouse pointer and so works well but I have not been able to figure out how to do this with Firefox. Here is the web site that I am accessing:
    http://demo.cubewerx.com/demo/cubexplor/cubexplor.cgi
    == Extensions installed: ==
    YouTube Enabler
    Near Me
    Yummy
    TwitterBar
    Hold4Tab

Sites that use drag and drop like Google Maps will not work in current versions of Fennec (mobile Firefox). We are working on fixing this for a future version. For details, see:

  • Turn Off Pen Tool Guide Line (Rubber Band) - Illustrator CC 2014

Working in Illustrator CC 2014. There is a guide line that follows the pen tool as I create my paths and shapes. I don't remember this from earlier versions of AI and I find it very distracting especially when creating curves, changing directions or once I've finished drawing a stroke. Does anyone know how to turn this feature off?
    UPDATE:
If you want to turn this feature off here's how...
Preferences > Selection and Anchor Display > Uncheck the Enable Rubber Band for Pen Tool

Me too, I put up with it for like a month. So helpful. Thanks.
