How do I run a Classic application on OS X Yosemite without paying anything?

I have an old application from the early 2000s (like 2000-2004).  There's a Windows app and a Mac app.  I'm not sure what the oldest supported Mac OS version is.  The application is called "Pumpkin Masters CD Pattern Maker."
Will someone please help me?  Thanks!

The difficulty is getting an older version of an operating system to run.  Older versions of Mac OS X than that which shipped on the computer will not boot...the firmware will not allow an older system to boot.  Some have been successful in running a 'not too old' OS X under Parallels, but that has always been a server version of the operating system, not the user version.
It would be easier to first try and see if the author/developer of the software has an updated version that is compatible.

    How can I run a java-application without any user on starting of Windows 2000?
    For example, if the computer is restarted and nobody enter into it yet, my java-application should run anyway.
    How can I do that?

    Hi, you have to put it in a Windows service.
    To do this you have a program, Srvany.exe that allow to insert a .exe or .bat program in a Windows service.
    For example, i develop a program, TomcatGuardian and i put it in a service because i need to run it in a server without Administrator logged in.

    Well you have to install ORACLE developer runtime on your client side. then just copy your complied forms (fmx) files to your client machine and set it up to run.
    Hope this helps

  • How do I run "Korean Classic OS 9" with OS X which was bought from America?

    I have a project I am working on which requires Korean Quark Xpress 3.3. In order to install this, I am being told I need to run Korean Classic OS 9. A Korean Mac Engineer told me this is possible, but didn't tell me exactly how. Does anyone have experience with Multilanguage in Classic setting?

    You will need to install the Korean language kit in Classic. The first place to look for the installer is Applications (OS 9)/Apple Extras. If it is not there, you may need to look inside your OS 9 install disk, if you have one.

  • How do I run a Java Application on Pocket PC 2003 (iPAQ 2210)

    I am writing an application for the iPAQ 2210. It will need to commuunicate over GPRS sending POST requests to a server (I think I will be using the Java.net package) the user interface will be very simple (a few buttons and text boxes) and will capture the data entered and send it back to the server (via the POST HTTP request) and read the response from the POST.
    I believe I need to use the Personal Profile version of J2ME and I am only using the classes that it says are supported. How do I run the App on the Pocket PC. Having spoken to HP they have said I shouldn't need a virtual machine and that pocket pc 2003 has one built in! Is this so or should I get myself the Jeode Virtual machine?
    Is the Jeode machine the best one?
    Sorry to ask so many questions in one go, I'm a little lost at the moment!!

    Hello Jon,
    I will suggest you using IBM WSDD. Although it uses its own version of JVM(J9), but it suits to your needs well.
    I think you should base your project on foundation profile(as you need some gui as well as java.net).

  • How can i run my java Application stand alone?

    Dear all,
    As the topic i want to run my application in a single file without showing the dos prompt or type in the command in dos prompt by the user......
    How can i do that, since in my application , i have used so other package?
    In fact i just want to do something like just run a executable file in windows.
    Thx

    Sounds like your JRE didn't install properly. Either reinstall it or you can enter the file association manually.
    On Windows NT (it may be different on other versions of Windows) take the View/Options menu item from an Explorer window
    Click on the File Types tab.
    Click the "New Type" button.
    Give it the name "Executable jar file" and an associated extension of jar
    Click the "New.." button
    Make the action open
    Make the application something like
    "C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.0\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "%1"
    changing it for your installation.

  • How can I run a Flash Projector(exe) under GNU/Linux without wine?

    I was received a flash on projector type(exe), there's no another swf file on there.
    I'd like to ask: How can I run that on a Linux?
    Thanks for reading and paying attention.

    This sounds like a question for the linux distribution forum that you're using.  The .exe is a stand alone executable, if you can run win32 binaries then you should be able to run this.
    Thanks,

  • I am a senior citizen newbie to apple.  I have just downloaded my pictures from my camera.  How do i remove my usb port from my mac pro without damaging anything?

    I am a senior citizen newbie to apple.  I have just downloaded my pictures to my Mac Pro.  How do I remove the usb port without damaging anything.  I know I shouldn't just pull it out.

    The iphone is a "plug and play" device.  It is safe to unplug it without "ejecting it".  If you want to be sure it is safe open itunes and under devices next to your iphone you should see the eject symbol like a line with an up arrow above it, click that.  Once you no longer see the iphone listed under devices it'll be safe to remove.

    Hello, garethfraser1980
    Thank you for the question.  If at any time a purchase is missing or deleted, you can always download it again at any time free of charge by accessing your purchase via the iTunes Store.  Below, I have an article that goes over how to do this.
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • JDev9i-Beta;How could I run two JSP applications in Jdev enviroment at the same time?

    Hi,
    I have two JSP applications located on different directories. I wanted to run both applications at the same time in Jdev enviroment. But the second one failed.
    More info:
    I successfully ran Application1, then minimized the browser and ran Application2, then again minimized the second browser. After I maximized the first browser(Application1) and tried to go thro pages, I received page not found. Because Jdev sat up the Class Path for the newer application(Application2) and looks for pages there. I believe thats why I could not run both at the same time. How could I get around of this?

    hi,
    can you provide more details on this. Are these jsp files part of the same project or different projects. I can not duplicate this issue. Please provide us more information.
    Thank you

  • How  will I run a java application

    hello! i'm currently doing application using Java(TM) 2 SDK, Standard Edition 1.4.2_05, i just want to ask how and where will I run the application. thanks... =)

    How?
    You just start it using the java command, and the classname (you might have to specify the classpath as well).
    Where? Well, that's up to you?

  • How to constant running a java application

    I have created a java application. My main class is called PTS.class and that has my main method.
    I wish to run this class continously, such that each time the main method completes execution, it is called again.
    I could probably do that by creating a thread which runs infinitely, as below. Is this a good skeleton solution? Will each instance of class PTS be garbage collected after execution, before a new one is created?
    Is there any freeware Java scheduler out there that allows me to do the same thing i.e. running an application infinitely?
    public class TestApplication implements Runnable{
    p.s.v.m (String[] args){
    Thread t = new Thread(this);
    t.start();
    public void run(){
    while(true){
    PTS pts = new PTS();
    }

    I'm not aware of any general Java based scheduling applications, though there certainly may be some. In general schedulers are built into the O/S such as cron. More robust schedulers like AutoSys are native code in part because they need to do O/S specific things like change who a particular process is running as.
    Depending on your needs it shouldn't be too bad to write your own.

  • How do you run an lib32 application in a terminal with an Arch-64 syst

    Hello Archers,
    How do I specifically call a lib32 application, and not the equivalent 64 bit one with the same name, from a terminal in Arch64. Is there such a thing as 32 bit terminal in Arch64?
    Context:
    I'm trying to troubleshoot FlexRAID which currently is 32 bit only. Multilib is installed with many lib32 packages. The package in question is blkid and both linux-util and lib32-linux-util are installed. When I enter blkid in terminal I get expected results. Now FlexRAID requires blkid and obviously would need to use the lib32 package. Currently all blkid related functions fail in FlexRAID. I would like to look into how the lib32 version of blkid functions in my 64 system. But if I go to terminal and enter blklid it will obviously use the 64 bit package.
    Thank-you.
    Wes

    lib32-util-linux from the multilib does not contain any executables, only libraries, so you don't actually have a 32bit blkid. Are you sure that it requires 32b blkid executable and not the libblkid.so library? If that's the case, then the 32bit lib is contained in /usr/lib32.
