How do I save a dvd so I can play it on my TV ? Mp4 does not work nor m4v.

iTuens does not allow for any DVD importing whatsoever and unfortunately discussions of these topics are not allowed on the forums.

Use Share/Computer/AVI to output each video as a DV-AVI.
Then open a new project set up for DV and combine the three AVIs on that timeline. Voila!

  • Im making a photo slide show using imovie. how will i make a dvd copy that can play in both pc and dvd player.  i dont have an idvd anymore. m using a mbp early 2011 osx 10.8.5

im making a photo slide show using imovie. how will i make a dvd copy that can play in both pc and dvd player.  i dont have an idvd anymore. m using a mbp early 2011 osx 10.8.5.
after making the photo slide show, i clicked share>export movie.  after which i burned using toast. the file became a .mov.  i tried playing it in my mac and it worked. my fear now is will it also play in a regular dvd?... i read from google that mov files won't run in dvd players.  what format should i convert it to so it'll play in a dvd player.  can you suggest a faster way i can burn my projects for it takes me almost an hour to export.  im going to make 28 slideshows for my kids in school. *=( if i need to do this process 28 times, i may not be able to finish it on time.  please suggest a software or an alternative as to how i should do this... m more comfortable using imovie than iphoto.  thanks and i hope to hear from someone soon *=j

Thank you QuickTimeKirk...used toast to burn project... my project was in .mov, i tried to play it a dvd player, it did play... will try again tomorrow using another dvd player just to be sure it'll will really work with dvd players.  thank you again for your reply *=)

  • How do I put my wmv files to DVD so I can watch them?

Ok, how do I put my wmv files on DVD so I can watch them?
Would I have to convert it to an mpeg file ? If I do, what are good freeware software to use? Thanks

You could try the free ffmpegX (http://ffmpegx.com/index.html), which is a highly flexible video converter/encoder (and I believe does WMV as well)... it does require the installation of some UNIX components, however I think this is done through the self-installer.

  • I have purchased MOVIES from Apple iTunes and want to know how I can burn them to my DVD so I can watch/view the movies on my TV's located in my house?

I have purchased MOVIES from Apple iTunes and want to know how I can burn them to my DVD so I can watch/view the movies on my TV's located in my house?  Pls post what you know or works for you - I see the movies on iTunes but am unable to locate them in any folder on my computer???  Thank you!
    Pete

So what is meant here is spend more money - wrong answer.
For that reason most people prefer to buy movies on DVD. They are easily shared, foolproof, and super easy to use. I love Apple TV and iTunes for music and TV shows, but I would never purchase a movie that was not on an optical disc.
When I head out-of-town I can grab a couple of DVDs to watch on my new MacBook Pro during the flight. Easy and uncomplicated.
DVDs offer another advantage. You can watch your movie without depending upon a complicated and delicate infrastructure. Also, movies are frequently censored for political correctness (Star Wars is a recent example).  Despite public pressure for a release, the Disney movie “Song of the South” remains banned.  Even cartoons like Johnny Quest are now censored.  Only people who purchased physical copies years ago have them as they were originally produced.
When you possess a physical copy of the movie the PC patrol can't mess with it.

  • How do I save my slideshow in a format that will play on my DVD player?

How do I save my slideshow to a DVD that will play in my DVD player?

afaik, no, iMovie also relies on iDVD to do the actually burning to DVD.
If you are looking for free software to do that, have a look at "SimplyBurns".            SimplyBurns rev416
I never tried it, since I have iDVD installed as part of the iLife Package, so I cannot vouch for it.

  • How do I save a pdf form that can be updated by multiple users

I work for a company that is trying to digitize all of their paper forms. As I am creating these forms, I need to know how one person can open and fill in information, then email the form to another person who can continue to fill out the same form. Any ideas? I already tried enabling usage rights in adobe reader, but we can only have one person fill out some info and once they save it, no one else can make any changes to that specific form.

They are using the original reader. One employee was able to save it where it could still be filled in (I just found out), but another user tried to do save as for the info that was put into the form. So I don't know if she saved it as a pdf and it cleared all the original formatting or not. Any ideas of what happened at that point?
@GiladD:     There are no special apps, this is just opening up as a pdf on a PC desktop. The second user opens the file and it's a normal pdf with no more fields to fill in.
@Bill@VT     We are trying to get the issues resolved before more employees start filling this out on their iPads.

  • How do I burn an imovie to a DVD so I can play it on my TV DVD?

I burned it onto a dvd but it doesn't work because the file isn't recognized by my dvd player.  It's a MOV file.  I don't know how to save it in a format my dvd player will recognize.
    Thank you

I don't know how to save it in a format my dvd player will recognize.
    I do!
    Use iDVD.
IDVD is specifically designed to work with iMovie.
With iDVD you can easily and quickly create DVDs with menus and graphics almost on the level of what Hollywood can do.
IDVD is easy to get. It is available on disk ONLY as part of iLife 11.
IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.

  • Infopath submit - how to hide - Save as dialog box - You can only save this file to the current site

    HI,
I have a infopath form. In the submit options, i have used the below:
    submit options -
    sharepoint document library
Data connection - Sharepoint Library Submit
    Doc library - lib location
    File name: concat("User Info - ", ResourceName, "-", PersonalID)
Allow overwrite if file exists is checked.
When I try to save a record, I am getting a popup:
    Save As:
You can only save this file to the current site
    File Name: textbox
    save location: doc lib.
    save, cancel buttons.
How to override this save as option(save as option should not be shown to user), and save the file using the file name mentioned?
    Thanks

Are you clicking "Save" when you're using the form or "Submit"??
You should be using "Submit" and it will ... submit your form to the document library with the file name you specified.
To disable the "Save" button, click on "File" then "Form Options". Under the "Filler Features" area you can uncheck the box beside "Save and Save As". Click OK then re-publish your form.

  • How do I save stored passwords so I can reinstall my computer

I need to reinstall my computer and store my passwords in firefox, how can I save these on an external hard drive or elsewhere to use when I have reinstalled>

Note that you need the signons.sq;lite file and the key3.db file to restore the passwords.<br />
The latter stores the encryption key including the master password.
