How do I save a link to my desktop. In IE I used to save a link to my desktop for a website that I wanted to look at again. I guess I could bookmark it, but I usually only do that for sites that I visit often. In IE the option was under File > Send Link. Any ideas or suggestions?

This is actually really easy to do. All you have to do is go to the webpage that you want to bookmark. Click on the site icon to the left side of the URL and drag the icon to your desktop.

Actually you can save multiple page pdf's in elements.
Try something like this:
(This is easier if you have the project bin open)
1. Select the first page
2. Right click on that page in the project bin and choose Add Blank Page or as many pages as you need.
3. Use the move tool and drag your pages down into the blank pages in the project bin
4 Then File>Save As>Acrobat.PDF

First, make sure your iPhone and iPad have absolutely identical Apple IDs. If they do, use that Apple ID in Settings > iCloud on your iPhone to select the "Notes" option. Lo and behold, all your iCloud notes should appear on your iPhone.

At a guess, then, it is designed not to work for guest.
Still, you can try this. Go down through folders (names are approximate)

Adobe
Adobe Reader 11.0
Look for the file ACRORD32.EXE
Right drag to desktop, choose Create Shortcut.
But if it's designed not to work for guest, you may be out of luck.

ACTION=="remove", KERNEL=="sd[c-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/rm -f /home/solano/Desktop/usb%k"
The first rule should be placed before your mount rule and the second rule should be placed before your umount rule (it's important because mount rules are using OPTIONS="last_rule"). Also I'm using %k not %n because when you unplug your usb stick %n might return an empty string causing the second rule to not work. However if %n works for you (which means the link is created and deleted on usb stick removal) you can change %k to %n (the replacement must be done in all rules of course).

I am so glad that I have an iPad and an iPhone. Otherwise, I would really feel even stupider than I do! It took me a while to find general preferences in Safari. I found it. What worries me more is that I may have bought this app. From two sources. It showed up on two emails. The download tells me that it is going to take 18 hours! We live in So Ca. With fast wi-fi. Downloads did show that I was downloading three of the same numbered things. I stopped all but one. I am pretty patient. I'll keep working with this, but am finding this is one of the only places I've found for answers.

Well, most of the time, it's not that easy. I can't give you examples, but I can give you some hits:
In case of http, you'll need a webserver with a script that you can call from your midlet, that will receive the file, and put it onto your desktop (or anywhere where you'd like to have it). If you have a stand alone computer without full acces to the internet (a public socket to acces your webserver), you can't do it.
Then you have to check if you can use any of the other possibilities. All networking protocols will not be possible without a public socket to connect to). The obvious next option is IrDa. Problem with this one is that not all phones support this. So you have to make sure, your phone does. If it does, you'll have to make an application on your PC that can talk via IrDa to you'r phone (if you want to stick to java, you could try http://jir.sourceforge.net/ ). Of cource, you have to make your own protocol to send the files via IrDa to the PC.

Here's the background of my problem.
BACKGROUND: I have a webpage for an eBook. The eBook is a PDF. The eBook can be downloaded by Mac and Window users. I want Safari 6.0.5 for the Mac to open the "Save As ..." dialogue box when they click the PDF Download Link for the PDF. I've gotten this to work for Firefox 24.0 for the Mac with the following html code:

CONSTRAINTS: I want the pdf download file to be a PDF. I know I could compress the file with my Mac but then this file would not open for those using Windows. I can't use javascript or php code. I don't want to use self-extracting software because this most often requires that the user have software on their computer to extract or decompress the file.
PROBLEM: A Mac user can [Command]-click the PDF Download Link to display the contextual menu with Save Linked File to "Downloads" and Save Linked File As ... menu selections displayed. It the user clicks "Save Linked File to "Downloads" the following error is displayed: "Safari can't save the file. Safari can't save the file "Downloads-1.(null)" to the downloads folder." If the user clicks Save Linked File As, Export As: is displayed. If the user enters the filename, e.g., myfile.pdf and clicks "Save" the following error is displayed: "The document "" could not be exported as "myfile.pdf"." Apparently Safari thinks that what I am requesting to be saved is empty.
What I don't understand is why I can get this to work for Firefox 24.0 for the Mac . . . and can't get it to work for Safari 6.0.5 for the Mac . . .
Any help to potentially solve my problem will be greatly appreciated. I've been all over the Internet searching for solutions without any success.

I believe you could use the media-type attribute of xsl.output to
force download, i.e.:
<xsl:output method="text" media-type="application/octet-stream" />
or use an unknown media-type like "text/xxx".
