How do i save a .m4v file to the movie folder when it will only save to the music folder?

I have a movie file in my ITunes music folder that i want to mover to the movie folder because it is a movie. The file type is a .m4v. When i click and drag it itunes wont let me drop it in movies.
What do i do??

You drag it using Windows Explorer and not in iTunes. Itunes library merely link the movie in iTunes library to your file location.
After you have dragged the file to another location, remember to link your original movie in itunes library to the new location. Right mouse click the movie, GET INFO, click LOCATE and direct to the new location (otherwise, your movie will not play)

Take a look at the FileSelector
First make sure the FileSelector is expanded so you can see the directory and sidebar. That's what the little disclosure triangle up by the filename is for. Once the FS has been expanded to look like the above picture, look to see what subdirectory has been selected. Use the SideBar to select an appropriate one.

Will no longer save my files to disc or export them. Will only save within Garage Band?

I've been uploading podcasts to my website which in turn puts them on itunes but this week suddenly, garageband will no longer "export to disc" or when it does it will save at twice the file size it estimated. When I try exporting directly into iTunes the "song" never exports (though no warning appears saying it's failed) and when i export to disc (i.e. desktop) the file also doesn't show up on desktop. I can, however, still listen to it within Garage Band. Although that's useless pretty much since the files are meant to be shared.

Without any details it's impossible to even guess what your problem could be.

How do I transfer an m4v file?

I have 2 computers that are authorized on my iTunes account. I purchased several m4v videos and downloaded them to one computer. I attempted to transfer them to the other computer by burning them to CD and also by using my iPods, neither of which is a video iPod, "as a disk", and I was able to transfer them to the other computer but I only got audio when I played them in iTunes on the second computer, which is also authorized for my account.
How can I transfer purchased m4v files from one authorized computer to another authorized computer (same account) without a video iPod?

When I try to open a pdf file, it will only save. It worked fine before 3.6.6.

A string that can be displayed as both ASCII and hex in an indicator will only save the data to a file in ASCII format

We can see the data in an indicator just fine, but when we try to write that string of hexadecimal data to a file, it will only save the data in ASCII format.
This sounds fairly simple, as the indicator can be selected to display the data in several different formats (VI>Properties>Appearance>Display Style: Normal, Backslash...., Hexadecimal). However, I have been unable, as of yet, to save the data in different formats.

AFAIK, this is beyond the capabilities of FCPX/Compressor. This company makes a plug-in, which I have to say I have no experience with. Here is a thread that may give you some other ideas. Good luck.

How are you backing up the photos? The best way is to backup the library itself as that will preserve your organizational efforts as well as all metadata like keywords, titles, faces, places, books, etc.
You can use a backup application that does incremental backups. Thus only the first backup is a full one and subsequent backups just copy those files that are new or changed. I use Synk Pro. The lower cost version, Synk, will do the same job. Other similar apps can be found at MacUpdate.com.
OR: upload your camera to a folder on the Desktop. There you can rename the files to something that is more informative than just the file name. I use the date (international format) along with a brief desc: 2007-1-20-adian1stbday-001.jpg. File renaming apps can also be found at MacUpdate.com. Also you can give the folder an informatve name which will become the Event name when you import the folder of photos into iPhoto.

I have been trying to attach and open files on iCal. One minute they will be there, and the next they are gone. Also, it seems to be taking forever for the file to even be opened after downloading it. Is there a way to correct either of the problems?

I have been attaching the files using my Mac, but when I go to look at the file on my iPad (to see if others are able to view the attachment) the attachment is either gone or will not open. It is taking more than 24 hours to have an attachment ready for others to view, and even then sometimes iCalendar shuts down. How can I fix this? Note: I will go back into iCloud on the web, and the document has sometimes vanished.

IMovie HD will only save half of movie... HELP!!

I've worked on it for hours... but, iMovie HD ('06) will only save half of my movie. I have a video, then a short slide show of photos. It will only save the video portion. When I look at my iMovie (in iMovie)... everything is there, but when I try to export it to my user's Movie folder, or to iMovie '08, or to Youtube, only the video portion shows up... not the slideshow.
I've tried to search on the web, in tutorials, etc. but I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions?

Error correction may be the problem; it was for me. See if it is checked and if it is uncheck it. You will find it under File>Preferences>Advanced>Importing. I hope this solves your problem.

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. Check out the article below for further troubleshooting and emails setup options.
