How do I save a page from appleipages to my pcs desktop

fats vee,
Please take a look at my replies and screenshots in the following forum post to transfer a PDF email attachment from the Gmail app for iOS to Adobe Reader for iOS.
How do I save a PDF attachment from Gmail to Adobe reader?
As I mentioned in the forum post, it requires many extra steps to transfer a PDF document from the Gmail app.  This is because the Gmail app for iOS does not support "Open In..." as many other iOS apps do.
Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Can I take a 65 page pdf file and save it as 65 individual pages?

I know if you are using Adobe Acrobat X, you can go to the "Tools" section and then under "Pages" you will see "Extract". If you click on that while your document is open it will show you your options for extracting the pages and saving them as individual PDF files. Be sure to check the box "Extract Pages As Seperate Files" and this should help get you on your way. I hope this helps answer your question on extracting pages from a multiple page PDF.

  • How can I save one page from a long PDF document?

I have a 400+ page PDF and want to email just one page to a colleague. How do I save just that page? I've tried the Print > Save As PDF, but it says "not supported."

Gracias, Claudio! I did as you recommended and it works. I wish it were possible to save individual pages using the Reader, though, as I don't do that enough to justify purchasing Acrobat. Also, I don't know how to tell if a PDF is protected, and maybe this one is. Thanks!

You would need Adobe Acrobat to do that, not Adobe Reader.

  • How can I save a page and all its component parts in a single file, like IE does as an MHT - it's much easier for mailing to people where page address not available?? (as in output from an airline booking site, for example)

how can I save a page and all its component parts in a single file, like IE does as an MHT?
It's much easier for mailing to people where page address not available?? (as in output from an airline booking site, for example)
It is simply too painful to have to zip everything up into a single file to send. MHT format has been available for years now from IE, and with every new FF release it's the first thing I look for. I have been using FF for years, and hate having to come out of it, over into IE |(which I even took out of startup) and key everything in again, in order to send somebody something in a convenient format that they can open with a single click.
I can't believe this hasn't been asked before, so have you looked at it and rejected it? Have MS kept the file format secret?
    Thanks
    MG

This is not really an answer just my comments on your question.
I am sure I recollect efforts being made to get mhtml to work with FF.
Probably the important thing to remember about .mhtml is that if other browsers do support it they may need addons, and may not necessarily render the content correctly/consistently.
There are FF addons designed for archiving webpages, you could try them, but that then assumes the recipient has the same software.
You could simply save the page from FF to your XP pc; then offline open it with and save it using IE, before then emailing using FF, and attaching the .mht or mhtml file that you have now created on your PC.
As an alternative method, in some cases it could be worth considering taking a screen grab of the required page, then sending that to the recipient as a single email attatchment using either a bitmap or jpeg file format for instance.
Something such as an airline booking may be designed with a print option, possibly it could be worthwile looking at sending the print file itself as an email attachment.

How can I save my document from pages to a flash drive?

Locate the file on your Mac, plug in the USB stick (the mac should prompt you to open it, or do this automatically), click and drag the file from the computer (wherever it's saved to) to the USB folder. That's just putting an already saved file there.
To save it TO your USB stick, find it in the Save To diolog on the sidebar. Click it, then save it there.

I have created a brochure and would like to post it on Facebook. How do I save a Pages document to jpeg so that I can share on social media and email? Do I have to save it as a jpeg or what other format can I save it in?

    Ashe,
In Pages, Print to "PDF > Open PDF in Preview". From Preview, File > Export to the format or your choosing, one page at a time. For text, PNG would be better than JPG.

  • How do I save a Pages 2012 document as an iWork '08 file?

How do I save a Pages 2012 document as an iWork '08 file?

    Kev,
The File > Save... dialog seems to be only available for documents that are in an "unversioned" state. (I don't know what the official title is for the condition of having a document that is unmodified from its initial naming, so I'll call it "unversioned", meaning that it hasn't had a version update to it's base state.
If you start from a template your first save will be a File > Save... Right after this first Save, your document has no Version History. It's "unversioned".
If you File > Duplicate you have created a new document in an "unversioned" state and your next Command-S will give you the option to save a copy to '08 format, the same option you had during your first document save.
My understanding of this situation is that any file with a Version History is stored across two files, one with the base document and one containing the revisions, the changes you've made since the initial save. Save a Version updates the file containing the changes. File > Duplicate combines the base file and the revisions into one new base document, ready to be Saved. After saving, if you make some changes in this new document your option is again to Save a Version or Duplicate and the cycle continues.
There are also Revert options that I haven't discussed, but I haven't studied them to know what the menu behavior is.
I know it can seem confusing and I'm not defending it, but I will recognize Apple's right to try to move the technology forward and I accept that I can learn what's going on and move with them, or I can get off the bus and watch it go down the road without me. It's not the first time I've had to try to figure out what's going on, and I'm sure it won't be the last. If you think I have the logic wrong I'd love to discuss your observations. I'm not interested in discussing if Apple should be doing this or not.

  • How do I save a Pages template as a separate document?

How do I save a Pages template as a separate document? I madea schedule template, and now that it is filled in for Sept/Oct, how do I save it as such?

The first time you save a document made from a template you will get the new document/save as dialog. A template is a special kind of document that will open a new, untitled document when you choose it, either in the template chooser or by double-clicking in a Finder window. A Pages template has the .template file extension. If your "template" isn't really a template, you will need to duplicate the document & then save it.

  • HT4641 How do I save a pages document into a format a pc can open?

How do I save a pages document that a pc can open.  eg jpeg, rtf pdf etc?

I assume you're using Pages on an iOS device since that is the forum you've posted in.
Tap on the wrench/spanner at the upper right & choose Share & Print. From there you can choose to e-mail or save to iTunes & then choose a format such as PDF or Word.
If you should be asking about Pages on a Mac, use File > Export & choose Word or PDF.

Word can't read .pages documents. You have to export the Pages  document to a Word document. File > export or share > Word
Download the Pages User Guide from your Pages Help menu to learn more about how Pages works.

  • How do I include a page from web search into an Email?

I have a HP TouchSmart 610-1147c Desktop computer. running Windows 7 64 bit.  I should have known the answer to this question years ago, but I don't....terrible huh?  Anyway, how do I include a page from a web search that I did into an Email?  Believe it or not, I've never had to do this before, so don't have the faintest idea how to do this.  I have a feeling that it would be sent as an attachment, but how don't know how to do that!!
I would appreciate any help that anyone would take the time to give me.  I thank you beforehand for having patience with me and my silly question.

Well, the way I would do it is to copy and paste the web address in the email, so the recipient can click on the link and get right to the Web page.
For example, I just googled "horses," and here is the result of that search:
    http://www.google.com/#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=horses&oq=horses&aq=f&aqi=g4&aql=&gs_l=h...
I highlighted the Web address, copied it, and then pasted it in the response.  Same thing can be done into an emial.
Does that make sense?  Or were you looking for something else?
