How do I save a project I have worked on in iMovie?

This is my first time working on iMovie and I'm used to PCs were you can File>Save something you are working on. So with iMovie, if I want to save a project, how do I do this?

Thanks for replying. I see that my project is saved in a folder that I created. Its still in the ".rcproject" file type. I'm not able to open this file by clicking on it or by importing it to iMovie.
This may seem like a dumb question, but am I suppose to go to "Share > export > export movie" in order to have this file saved so that I can work on it later on?
Or is this ".rcproject" suppose to open in iMovie?
Answering your question - Yes, I've clicked on the "projects" tab and it says "create new project", but there is nothing under this project. It's blank, instead of showing my project that I have created.

  • How do I save an image I have worked on in "Editor" into a file in "Organizer?

I have Photoshop Elements 11 and find that I cannot take images from email, work on them and then file them in the organizer.  I can get images off of phones and digital cards but not from my gmail.  What do I do?

Thank you so much for responding!  I have spent so much time on this. The issue is that all photos open on Photoshop "Editor" and I can't stop it. Once they are on "Editor" I cannot save them anywhere!!  Thanks for your help. Nana pat

How do I save text that I have typed in a PDF file in adobe and then mail it
    Currently goes through without text

You don't have to do anything special to save text you type as an annotation or in a form. What's probably confusing you is that if you view the PDF within iOS apps like Mail, it appears the text you typed disappeared. However, when you view the PDF file in Acrobat or Reader on Mac, Windows or other platform, the text is there. (It's a limitation of the native iOS PDF viewers.)
If you've updated to the newest version of Reader, you should also get a dialog offering the choice between "Share Original Document" and "Share Flattened Copy". The dialog explains the difference between the options.

  • How can I save an image I have created in Pages as a jpeg?

How can I save an image I have created in Pages as a jpeg? The image has both a photo and various text boxes. I would like to use it in one of the Photocard websites but they only accept jpeg. Any easy solutions please.

Hold command shift 4 and draw a box around what you want and then click again, on your desktop a .png file will appear.
To convert it to jpeg, open it in Preview and Save as.
if you want all your screenshots to be jpg, download the free Tinkertool and make the change.

How can I save photos that I have modified in Photoshop Elements to my computer hard drive folders?

When finished editing click File->Save/Save As and you can either overwrite the original file or rename it and save as new file keeping original intact.
You can find more info on saving and various settings here http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshopelements/using/WS287f927bd30d4b1f89cffc612e28adab65-7 fda.html#WS287f927bd30d4b1f89cffc612e28adab65-7fd7

  • How do i save a calender i have created with the photo and the dates saved on separate pages?

how do i save a calender i have created in photoshop with the photo and the dates saved as two separate pages?  when i save as pdf or jpeg they are authomatically saving 1 pg with the photo and dates on one page.  This is causing problems when i print.

Hi there, in case your printer cannot print very large, you can also crop down two versions and print them as separate documents.
    1) Create a guide where you would like to split the pages by clicking on the ruler (hit command R if they are not showing) and dragging to the desired area.
Creating the guide will make it so you can be precise in the way you split up your page, and so that no part of the image will be repeated or lost.
    2) Select the Crop Tool and fit the crop area to the top half of your calendar, using the guide you've just made to snap to the right spot. Hit return to finalize the crop.
    3) Go to File > Save As. Name the file something like calendar_top and select the desired file format. Hit "Save."
    4) Once you get back to your calendar file, Go to the History panel and select "Drag Guide." This will take you back to the step before you cropped the image.
    5) Repeat the steps as before for the bottom half of the calendar, once again using the guide to help you make your crop area.
So then you would just print each of the two pages individually. The images will not be contained within one document, but if you have Acrobat you could combine the files.
    I hope this helps!

  • My free trial of FCPX will expire today. How do I save my project to work on it later when I purchase it.

my free trial of FCPX will expire today. How do I save my project to work on it later once I can purchase it. Is that what Export XML does?

xml is used to move your project from one application to another.. like from FCPX to DaVinci Resolve or After Effects or Premiere... but at the moment it has a bug, it links the original media and not the optimized media (the prores 422, just in case you use them...)

When you restore from a Time Machine back up you can pick and chose what is restored. It is not an all or nothing process. Nor do you have to do the partial restores all at the same time. If days after the first partial restore you find something else you want you can restore just that.

  • How do I reopen a previous project I was working on in imovie?  Please help

I had to work on two imovie projects.  I began the first one and I was about half done.  I had to start the second one so I created a "new project".  I worked on the second one, but now I want to go back to the first one to finish editing.  I go to "Finder" then the "movies" folder, then "imovie projects", then I pick my first movie project I was working on.  Imovie doesn't open the first project, it just goes back to my second project, but I want to edit the first.  So, how do I open a previous project I was working on in imovie?

2)does anybody know how to change the email setting for "from"?  When I attempt to share a photo and email it to someone, I cant because I have no idea of the information in my "from" box.  Therefore I dont have the password to send it.  How can I change that setting?
to change account information iPhoto preferences ==> accounts  --  or better yet IMHO just set the e-mial client to Apple Mail rather than the default iPhoto and send using mail

  • How can I save the project?

I asked before how can I create 3D canvas looking image
and Terri gave me this tutorial, which worked very nice.
    http://www.rtbmediaonline.com/blog/?p=129
Now my question is if and how can I save this entire project to be
able to apply it later to other images without going through the process manually with each image ???

One way you can do this is by using Actions. You can record a set of modifications you apply to an image, save the action and play it later for another image, or even apply it to a batch of images.
Press F9 to open the Actions Panel.
    Then, create a New Action...
Name it, and change the settings. Here you can assign a Keyboard Shortcut for your new Action:
Then, click Record to begin recording.
Follow all of the steps in the tutorial, then Stop the Action:
Now you can play the action again for any image!

  • In Pages, how does one 'Save As' - I only have the option 'Save' which wipes earlier versions

how can i save a newer version of any document in Pages without losing the earlier version?
What Microsoft so neatly do with either 'Save' or 'Save as"?

Brilliant thank you, only on mine it is called alt as I have only just discovered, and lo, as you say, Save As actually appears!
Apple isn't so obstinate after all - but why do they make it so difficult to find their simple solution? I even bought a book about switching (O'Reilly's) and nothing is mentioned about any of this.
I am very grateful to you all, now I have two options!
