How do I save an email as a draft in Mail 5.2?

I began an email to a friend a few mins ago and need to save it to complete it later, but how?
On my MacBook Air running Lion OSX 10.7.4, which is now using Mail 5.2, looking at the folder options today, I don't see the Darfts Folder anywhere. I'm sure there used to be one before, but now there isn't. Also, I cannot find the option to Save as a Draft anywhere either. What's with that?

Launch Mail.
Click "Message" in the menubar.
Move mouse pointer down to "Move to" or "Copy to"
Drafts folder will show up.
Best.

Yes there is, if you hold down the attachment widget in the email once the video is downloaded, it will give you a series of options to save it to, including camera roll.
    Hope this solves your question.

  • HT2500 How do I save an email with 400 other emails in it, as a PDF?  There is supposed to be a way.

I selected all the emails in a mailbox. Opened a new email, clicked in the body and click edit>append something or other.  All the selected emails from the mailbox appeared in the new email.  I click print and mail locks up and I have to force quit.  It's supposed to open a print dialog box in which I should be able to click PDF in the lower left corner... but I can't get that far.  How can I save these emails as a PDF?
    Thanks.

try select all, drag to the desktop, with all the emails highlighted, command p, pdf, after they are pdf make a new folder and drag them into the folder

With nothing but the free Reader? Take a screenshot of the page and email the image.

  • HT201250 how do i save selected emails to time machine?

how do i save selected emails to time machine?

Don't put emails you want to save into the Trash. In the mail sidebar you should see an "On MY MAC" section below the Inbox, Trash, Junk, etc., mailboxes. You can create mailboxes in this section for emails you want to save. (I suggest you check out Mail help & at least read the overview info.)
Also, there is no point in looking for individual email files in Time Machine backups (or for that matter in the Mail folders on your HD). They are stored with names that won't make sense to you & cross-linked with database & other files Mail maintains.
You are making this harder than it is. Just let Time Machine back up everything & it will take care of the rest of it.

  • How do I save my email attachments that are sent as a word file

How do I save my email attachments that are sent as a word file

You need an app that you can use the Open In function and save the file into that is compatible with Word files like Pages, Smart Office and now Mocrosoft has a Word App for the iPad. It is a read only version unless you subscribe to. Office 365, as far as I know anyway, but it is free and you can save the file to the app.
Search the App Store for other alternatives.

  • How can I save an email as plain text when the save as is greyed out?

How can I save an email message as a plain text document if the saved as command is greyed out? I am using OSX Mountain Lion. Macbook Pro thanks.

OK, but is it happening to you with all messages or just some messages? If just some, can you characterize which ones? (Maybe messages with only one "alternative*" form, or with the "wrong" alternative for displayed, or messages containng images but no text?)
    * By "alternative" form, I mean in the sense of Mail > View > Message > Previous Alternative or Next Alternative or Plain Text Alternaive or Best Alternative.)
Similarly, can you characterize the circumstances under which you cannot save an attachment?

  • How do i save an email on my ipad to a file on the ipad?

This is the second time I have submitted this question.  I cannot now find where the original question went or any replies. I have an ipad 2 and I need to know how to save an email from my inbox on the ipad to a file, for later reading outside of the email client.  I have tried GoodReader, and it will save attachments in email, but not the email itself.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Rbinlex

    Hi Rbinlex,
I have had a similar issue and got to playing around with some of the apps I have. It turns out the app Air Sharing allows me to connect to my mail server (hotmail for me) as if it were a file browser, and access the contents of the email in either plain text or html, as well as any attachments. Then its a simple matter of opening the file in another app or saving it to Air Sharing's documents folder (the app is basically a file system for the ipad with access to many types of servers).
Air Sharing is a bit expensive, but i don't know of any alternatives.
    Hope this helps :)

  • How do I save sent emails on my web server using Mail with IMAP?

I have email through a web hosting company setup as IMAP through Apple Mail. In preferences, I have the box checked to save sent emails on the server, however, when I send emails they are stored in Sent Messages folder on my Mac and not on my web server. Also, when I send emails on my iPhone they are stored in the regular Sent folder for my email under Mailboxes.
How can I get all my sent emails stored on my web server?

In Mail, select the mailbox you want to use for sent emails, then go the 'Mailbox' menu and choose 'use this mailbox for' and click 'sent'.  The same goes for your iPhone.  In settings, go to the advanced settings of the outgoing email server.  There you can choose which mailbox you want to use for storing your drafts, sent items, ...

  • Touch 2: How Do I save a email Photo Attachmt?

    Hello.
Although I've tried twice to "Save Screen Image" while viewing a JPEG attachment to an email, I cannot find it file anywhere on my Touch 2. I have even used the Search Phone app, but it only found the original email sitting in my inbox.
Has anyone discovered how to save an email file attachment?
Thanks for any thoughts on this.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Try this... open the email so you see the pic as an attachment, tap and hold on the attachment a a little "save as" button should pop up... tap on this and you shoiuld get a save as page which will allow you to choose main memory or storage card (you'll see that if you minimise the keyboard) and you can then select the folder in which you want to save it etc.
    Hope that helps,

  • How can I save an email as PDF?

    Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some app that allows me to save an email as a PDF file.
I know that before iOS 5 this was possibile, but I sound like to know how to do it now, both for iPhone and iPad.
    Thank you,

Personally, I put pdf files on dropbox.  There's a free dropbox app for iOS devices, and a free setup for computers.  A dropbox account is free.

  • How do I save an email attachment to iCloud

I am trying to save an email attachment to the cloud. How do I do that?

Save the email and forward it (along with the attachment) when you need to send a copy somewhere.  Depending on the type of document it is, if you can open it in some app, and if that app is programmed to sync to iCloud, then that's a way to get it to icloud.  Just tap and hold your finger on the attachment icon (in mail) and from the pop up menu choose the app to open it in - if there is an app capable of opening it.
For Pages, Numbers, etc. formatted files, you can open them in the appropriate Apple app, and if you have set up an iWork page on icloud.com, then you can save the doc to iCloud via the Apple app (Pages, Numbers, etc.).
