How do I save an image as viewed in the protanopic/deuteranopic proof view?

I'd like to create a series of textures that are essentially deuteranopic versions of other files I have. Although I can view the files as they would be seen by a deuteranopic using a proof view, I cannot find a way to save the file as it appears in this proof. I have tried for hours to find a solution across the help topics and even attempted to find third-party programs to no avail, and using screenshots to capture the view and save them is time-consuming and creates errors when I need to preserve partial transparency of certain textures.

When you are Soft Proofing your image with the Color Blindness - Deuteranopia proof profile. Save your image as either a Photoshop PDF or Photoshop EPS.
Using either of these formats will now allow you to: Use Proof Setup : Deuteranopia and Embed Color Profile: D-type Deuteranopia

  • How do I save an image I find on the web?

Love FF mobile but could someone tell me how to save an image I find on a web page? Tried mailing it to myself but it only sends the URL. Tried the SAVE feature but the image can't be found on my phone after.

To save an image, press and hold on it, and then press the "Save Image" button in the menu that pops up.
To open a saved image, go to the Firefox downloads manager by tapping on the "Download completed" notification, or by scrolling to the right of the page and tapping the gear icon and then the "down arrow" icon. For more instructions, see [[How to manage downloads in mobile Firefox]].
You can also find saved images in the "downloads" folder in your phone's SD card.
If this does not work, please see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=610383

    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== I updated to one of the firefox versions (Not sure which one it was)

Thanks Alex, but sadly I already tried that. Neither .docx or .xlsx files show up in the content list. They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I don't think I can manually add files into the "Content Type" left side nav.

  • How do I save an image (logo) transparent so that it will appear transparent on any color background such as a gradient or black?

How do I save an image (logo) transparent so that it will appear transparent on any color background such as a gradient or black?
I save image as "transparent" at File > New... but when I place on a gradient background it keeps appearing white. I'm trying to save transparent to be effective on any color such as a gradient or black.  How do I truly save as transparent?

Put the logo on its own layer set the layer fill to 0 and add a layer style to the logo layer.  Here I duped one change fill to 0 added style.

How can I save an image I have created in Pages as a jpeg? The image has both a photo and various text boxes. I would like to use it in one of the Photocard websites but they only accept jpeg. Any easy solutions please.

Hold command shift 4 and draw a box around what you want and then click again, on your desktop a .png file will appear.
To convert it to jpeg, open it in Preview and Save as.
if you want all your screenshots to be jpg, download the free Tinkertool and make the change.

  • How can I save my images like a "wedding photographer" does?

    I have a Pixma PRO-100. . . with a Windows 8.1 PC. . . and printing through Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.
I just printed some wedding pictures of my daughter - which I got from the "wedding photographer"... when I printed them - they were an exact match to what I saw on my screen (which I've calibrated)... and dead on crisp, great quality.
I'm wondering what a wedding photographer does to their images to make them so "solid" in printing.  How do they save them?
when I print something from a my files, (Raw, NEF, or JPEG's) - there always seems to be a color or quality problem? Never a match.  It takes several adjustments and print samples before I get what I want.
Is the ICC Profile a problem - or How can I save my images like a wedding photog does?  So they print exact?

    " ... (Raw, NEF, or JPEG's) ... "
I suspect there are some minor differences you are not seeing and/or noticing on screen.  But right off, no real wedding photographer will shoot in anything except RAW.  You should be using RAW, only, too.  The RAW file to start with has way more info in it than any jpeg does.
Next I would bet your wedding photographer does some tweaking to highlights and shadows, plus s ome other stuff that you are not.  In other words he is getting the photos ready for printing. Remember printing on paper and "printing for on screen" is two different things.

  • HOW DO I SAVE AN IMAGE AT A HIGHER DPI

HOW DO YOU SAVE AN IMAGE AT A HIGHER DPI?

Set up your own export preset. But note two things: You cannot export more pixels than in the original, and dpi is meaningless - you can take any image and print it at any size you like. If someone is requesting a particular dpi in the file, that person is clueless.

  • How do I save an image as a pdf

I am a dummy when it comes to MAC. How do I save an image (document) as a PDF? I am trying to send it to someone as I have downloaded it and do not know how to change to a pdf.

In Preview, in the box that appears when you select 'save as', the default is jpg, but open the drop-down and you'll find PDF in the list.

  • How do I save an image using image capture after i scan a document?

How do I save an image in image capture, after I've scanned a document?

Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The process may differ a bit, depending upon which version of the OS you are using. Open the Image Capture application and click on the Help menu for it.
In Mac OS X 10.6.8, I get this:
Control + click on image and choose to "Open Link in New Tab" (or window) in order to see the full-size image.
According to those instructions, it looks as though the scan should be automatically saved to the folder you've chosen.

  • How can i save some image- profiles in the memory (RAM) of a system?

How can i save some  image- profiles in the memory (RAM) of a system?
(and then I want to read out the memory and save the profiles in a HDD, but first it has to write in a memory, because the write-speed is better by the memory )

There must be an underlying premise for this question that I'm missing... When you run code everything is in memory... Programming 101. Create a variable, set a value to it, and it's in memory. Create a front panel control set a value to it and it's in memory. Data carried by the wires you use to connect your code is in memory. Or are you asking about controlling how that memory is managed - physical vs swap file?

How do you save a picture from email to the iPhoto?

Click and hold on the Save button, and a menu appears, listing each attached file’s name along with a Save As button. Select any individual file, and you’ll save just that attachment to disk. But the really nice feature is the final menu item—Add to iPhoto. That’s right; with one button click-and-hold, you can add all of a message’s attached images to iPhoto.

  • How do I spot what images are RGB using the separations preview?

2 Questions: 1. How do I spot what images are RGB using the separations preview? 2. Is there an easy way to convert those to CMYK without opening each one in PS? I did this before all the time but I'm rusty and can't remember how I did it. I'm on CS6.

You can one of several methods to find out:
    (1) You can use the Links panel.  Open the Links panel. Go the panel menu and choose Panel Options. In the Panel Options dialog, Under Show Column check "Color Space". Now when you view your Links panel it will show the color space of all linked images.
    (2) You could use Preflight, and set up a Preflight Profile. In the profile, go to the Color section > Color Spaces and Modes Not Allowed, and check RGB. Then any RGB images would be flagged.
    (3) If you need to know BEFORE you place the images, use Adobe Bridge. Open the folder where the image are. Use the Metadata panel and view the color space of the images.

  • How do I save PDF files by default to the folder of the source file?

How do I save PDF files by default to the folder of the source file with Acrobat 9.0.0 Standard?

I am not seeing that behaviour. If I right-click a link to a .pdf file, I get the file saved with the original filename.
Maybe one of the settings in about:config controls that?
pdfjs.previousHandler.preferredAction is a setting that has a value of 4 with my setup. I have no idea what that means, and I could not find any explanation anywhere. You could try using different numbers for that value and see if any make any difference. Why has nobody bothered to explain that setting anywhere?
