How do I save and access MS Word documents using iCloud?

How do I access my old documents in iDisk and how do I save new documents created in MS word so they are available to me in the cloud? Do I need to install keynote, numbers and pages now? Before I just accessed my ME account from any computer and worked on a document while I was travelling. Am I now required to have those Apple apps on a computer just to access my documents?

Thank you for trying to help. I'm still lost. I found a post that showed me how to get my iDisk back (https://discussions.apple.com/message/16336273#16336273). I still don't understand how to save a word document that I create on my Mac so that I can access it through the cloud on a PC at work.

Perhaps you could copy your client variables to session
scope; then back again in OnRequestEnd.cfm

The Notes features of the 3G iPod Nano only supports TXT files and not Word Documents. If you want to be able to read these word documents, you'll need to copy the text from each over to a text file. See here for more information.

Hi Venkat,
I think you can do it manually.
After the print preview, Select the menu Goto->List Display.
Now select the menu System->List->Save->Local File.
Now you can select the radio buttion Rich Text Format.
Now you save the document as a .doc file (say test.doc)
That is it!!!!!

Trying to save a csv file on my ipad so I can auto populate into a SmartForm. It will only allow me to access photos when I hit the import button

search the app store for PDF Writer. I've found a lot that will convert documents to PDF, but none yet that will write within the PDF. One thing you want to avoid are cloud based apps. Any of them that talk about editing on the cloud, etc, aren't going to be as standalone as you want.
It's possible, if you can take your template PDF, turn it into a word document that you can edit, you can then convert that to PDF...kinda a workaround way to do what you want. And apps that convert to PDF are much easier to find

In MS Word, you have 2 options when you select Insert Object:
Microsoft Excel Chart
Microsoft Graph 2000 Graph
If you select Insert Picture, you can choose Chart. This is the same chart as when you select Microsoft Excel Chart.
To insert this chart, you will use Word Insert Graph.vi. This VI calls Word_Insert_Chart.vi, that uses ADO object Graph.Chart and its properties and methods.

I need to insert a logo in the header and a footer text.
Does any one know how to insert a header/footer with abap ole ?

How can I save and access documents without wifi?

I have an ipad3 that is wireless only. I have to have access to contracts and documents sometimes in places without wifi. Is there a way to do this? I have dropbox and readdle and a bunch of other great storing apps, but they need wifi to access the documents. Is there a way to save things to the ipad to access them if there is no wifi available?

How do I find and access files backed up using a time capsule on a different mac?

I have been backing up files from two macs to a time capsule. I had a problem with the time capsule and took it to an authorized facility for repair. When I got it home and reconnected to it, the time capsule seemed to start over as though it was the first time it was ever hooked-up. The repair facility says my old files are still there. My question is, how do I find the original backup files and reconnect them to my macs?

On one of your Macs.....try a right-click on the Time Machine icon on the dock and then select Browsel Other Time Machine Disks to see if you can locate your backups there.
If you find them, you will be able to restore files from the disk as needed. The same would be true of your other Mac.
If Time Machine started all over with a new backup of each computer....as I suspect is the case based on the info in your post.....you will not be able to combine the old backups with the new backups.
To switch back to your new backups, click the Time Machine clock icon at the top of the screen and select Time Machine Preferences. Click Select Disk and click to highlight your Time Capsule disk. Then click Use for Backup.

How do you actually save a word document in icloud?

Word docs won't be dragged and dropped into icloud box on my mac. I bought the stupid pages app and then iwork from apple thinking that might help, as docs could be saved in Pages format and retrieved on my iPhone. But pages docs can't be password protected, so sensitive documents - such as those containing bank details and the like - can't be saved via the cloud to access on my phone.
With iDisk this was possible. What's the alternative, since Pages is an inferior program in so very many ways to Word?

Word documents can be saved in iCloud, although they will be converted to pages documents when opened on an iOS device. If you are having problems dragging and dropping your Word documents onto iCloud.com, try a another word format.
Pages documents do not require password protection when in iCloud, because iCloud itself is password protected.

Am I able to use my USB and read saved word documents

I am wanting to know if I am able to plug in a standard USB storage device and access saved word documents or PDF's. Can this be done via a connector of some sort.

Also, just understand that these storage devices must be accessed using their own iOS apps and are not generally accessible as you would expect on a computer for example.
