How do I save documents on iwork/pages on my ipad?

Many images from the web can be saved to the iPad's camera roll by tapping and holding on the image itself. A dialog box pops up with "Save Image" as one of the options.
Facebook handles some images slightly differently, since it's trying to respect its users' privacy preferences. If the tap and hold trick doesn't work, the image may have a "Download" link beneath it and to the right. If you tap the "Download" link, you'll then see a bare version of the image in Safari. You can then tap and hold *that* image to save it to the iPad's camera roll.
If there's no "Download" link either, it means the user has set up their privacy settings such that you can't download the image. At that point your only workaround would be to snap a screenshot by clicking the home and power buttons simultaenously. That saves the current screen to the camera roll.

  • How do I save a Pages 2012 document as an iWork '08 file?

How do I save a Pages 2012 document as an iWork '08 file?

    Kev,
The File > Save... dialog seems to be only available for documents that are in an "unversioned" state. (I don't know what the official title is for the condition of having a document that is unmodified from its initial naming, so I'll call it "unversioned", meaning that it hasn't had a version update to it's base state.
If you start from a template your first save will be a File > Save... Right after this first Save, your document has no Version History. It's "unversioned".
If you File > Duplicate you have created a new document in an "unversioned" state and your next Command-S will give you the option to save a copy to '08 format, the same option you had during your first document save.
My understanding of this situation is that any file with a Version History is stored across two files, one with the base document and one containing the revisions, the changes you've made since the initial save. Save a Version updates the file containing the changes. File > Duplicate combines the base file and the revisions into one new base document, ready to be Saved. After saving, if you make some changes in this new document your option is again to Save a Version or Duplicate and the cycle continues.
There are also Revert options that I haven't discussed, but I haven't studied them to know what the menu behavior is.
I know it can seem confusing and I'm not defending it, but I will recognize Apple's right to try to move the technology forward and I accept that I can learn what's going on and move with them, or I can get off the bus and watch it go down the road without me. It's not the first time I've had to try to figure out what's going on, and I'm sure it won't be the last. If you think I have the logic wrong I'd love to discuss your observations. I'm not interested in discussing if Apple should be doing this or not.

  • Having purchased and installed pages after finishing my 30 day trial I now can't save changes to documents, it keeps saying that my trial is over and I need a serial number?  Never got a serial number, any ideas how to rectify this?

Hi, having purchased and installed pages after my 30 day trial had finished I am now unable to save any changes to documents I had created in the trial version.  It says I need a serial number, which I never got when I purchased the pages app.  Does anyone kno how to rectify this, I would be very grateful for any help as I'm currently writing up my thesis and am now unable

Hi, I had the same problem and I found that you don't need a serial number anymore. Here is what I did:
(1)I went to Applications fodder on my Mac. (You can navigate to the Application folder from 'New Finder Window.')
    (2) Deleted Pages (installed as part of the free  free trial version) from the Applications Folder. Also deleted 'IWorks' from the Applications folder.
    (3) Started AppStore.
    (4) Clicked on  Purchases.
    (5) Clicked on Pages.
    (6) Clicked Install.
    (4) repeated (5) and (6) for Numbers and Keynote

how do one rename a document created with iwork pages?

So the "Rename" command is not supposed to work?  It is a dead link and crashes Pages.
Where did Pages save the file that I wanted to put into the folder of related documents.  Please bring back "save as" or ask where we want the file saved.  How else can I find it later?

  • How do i save my document on pages so that i can open it on other computers

How do I sav emy document on pages so that i can open it on other computers?

Well, that was the short answer, then I rethought your question.
Will the “other computers,” be Mac, or a mixture of Mac, Windows PC, and possibly Linux?
What application on the other computers will be accessing the Pages content created on your MacBook Pro?
Using the File export options I originally mentioned, you could save the files to iCloud. Then on the other computer, you use the web browser to sign into your iCloud account. When you click the iWork icon, the files that you saved from your MBP will be there. You can then right-click on the file you want and a download option exists.

  • How do I save an old document in Pages 09 first?

how do I save an old document in Pages 09 first?

If you are dealing with a Pages '08 document and find that Pages v5 no longer supports it, here are your options for reading that content in Pages v5. Pick the best one for you:
On a machine with Pages '08, export as an MS Word (.doc) document
On a machine with Pages '09
Open and save as a Pages '09 document
Open and export as an MS Word (.doc) document
Upload the Pages '08 document to the free zamzar conversion service, and receive a downloadable .docx via email link in about 4 minutes.
Install the iWork '08 DVD on your current machine (including Yosemite) then immediately update with the following:
    Pages '08 v3.0.3
    Numbers '08 v1.0.3
    Keynote '08 v4.0.4
Purchase and/or install the iWork '09 DVD
Immediately apply the Apple iWork 9.3 updater.
Some Pages functionality lost in Yosemite.
New installations of iWork '08/'09 DVD, and updates should be followed by Disk Utility to verify/repair permissions.

  • How do I save contents from web page to iWork

This may be the wrong community so please let me know if it is? I want to save a document from a web page in Safari to iWork on iCloud.com. The document is of my son's USA hockey membership confirmation and I don't know how to save it to iWork or which application to save it to once I do? Numbers, Pages? Thank you in advance..

I thought I was clear about what I'm trying to achieve... I want to view my document in either Pages or Numbers, because they are on both my Macs and iPhone/iPod touch's.
Aug 25, 2012 2:57 PM (in response to Winston Churchill)
It's really just content on a web page but its information I need to have access to across all my devices from a MacBook Pro to iPhone and iPod touch. I want to be able to view it in the Pages iOS app and the OS X app.
I just need to know the best way to save it, & in the fewest amount of clicks preferably.

  • How do I save a pages document as a jpeg?

I thought that I was being smart by creating my son's graduation invite.  I made it in pages and I need to save it to be a jpeg in order to print it.  Does anyone know how to save a pages doc as a jpeg?

Use PDF when layout is the most important part of your document, for example when you create a brochure, a flyer, or a manual with multiple illustrations.

  • I moved all my Pages documents from my Macbook Pro to my present Macbook Air and then gave away my Pro.  Now, when I try to view my documents I get the message that the document is too old and I have to save it on Pages 09 first.  How do I do that? i

I moved all my Pages docs from my Macbook Pro to my new Macbook Air.  Now, when I try to view my docs I am told that they are too old and I must save them in 09 first.  How do I do that?  The version of Pages I am using on the Air is 5.2.2

No release of Pages v5 can open AppleWorks, Pages '05, Pages '06, Pages '08, or RTF documents. Sometimes, it cannot open its own documents.
You will need to do one of the following:
Borrow your MacBook Pro back until you can export all your incompatible documents to MS Word (Which Pages v5 can open)
Install your iWork '08 DVD on your new Air, and then immediately apply the following Apple Updaters. Again Export to MS document formats.
    Pages v3.0.3
    Numbers v1.0.3
    Keynote v4.0.4
Purchase iWork '09 DVD, and then immediately update with Apple iWork 9.3 updater.
Open the document(s) that Pages v5 won't permit
Save as Pages '09 v4.3 documents, or export as MS Word
Upload to Zamzar, and convert to MS Word (free for limited volume)
    No sensitive documents
Email notification within 3 - 4 minutes with MS Word document download link
After you do either item 2 or 3, run Disk Utility and verify/repair application permissions on your boot drive. Open your converted documents in Pages v5.

  • How can i save word documents to pages? I have an illegal copy of word but want to upgrade my software so I can utilize i cloud.  I'm a writer and need to preserve my word documents.

I have an illegal copy of word and I want to upgrade my software so I can utilize i cloud.  How can I save my word documents to pages
so that they are not lost in this upgrade?  I do not have the disk to reinstall word after the upgrade.

You might want to post your question in the Pages forum. https://discussions.apple.com/community/iwork/pages
Also if it's the Office 2004 version of Word it won't work in Lion since it's a Power PC program. Office 2008 will work in Lion if it's already installed when you upgrade. But it won't install on Lion because the installer program uses Power PC code. Office 2011 is the only one that will install and work on Lion.

  • How do I save my iWork documents to iCloud?

How do I save my Numbers & Pages documents FROM my Mac Desktop TO iCloud so I can access the most recent versions of these documents from my iPad?

If you open a document in Pages or Numbers, and you have done the initial signup at iwork.com, then there is a Share icon in the top right of the screen.  Clicking on that icon gives you three options:  1.  Share with viewers, 2. Publish on the Web, 3. Upload for Private Use.
    It works well for me.

  • I am trying to email document from pages. iWork discontinued. How can I send it?

I have been trying ti email a doc from pages but a pop up says that iWork is dicontiued. How can I send the document?

You are running an outdated version of Pages '09 v4. The iWork site was shutdown years ago.
Which version of OS X are you running ( ▸ About This Mac)? And the exact version of Pages '09 v4 (Pages > About Pages)?
The short answer is to save your Pages '09 document to the filesystem, open Mail, and drag/drop the Pages document into the compose window. If this is going to people without Pages, export it as a Word document (.doc), and then attach it to Mail.
