How do I save drafts outside of contribute?

I keep having trouble with my connection and do not want to
start over with my drafts. I cannot reconfigure connection with
active drafts. Is there a way to save them.?

Drafts are saved on your local drive, so you can save them by
copying those files elsewhere. In Windows you'll find them in the
Documents and Settings folder, under your user profile, e.g.
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local
Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Contribute 3\Sites\Site1
In that specific numbered Site folder will be the drafts and
new pages you're working on. The problem you may run into is that
the remote web server has a record of what files you have checked
out. When you start editing a page, Contribute places a .lck file
on the web server to prevent other users editing the same page.
That .lck file contains your username, and they're all going to
have to be in synch with what you have in the local Site
folder.

Hi all,
Like sudude here pointed out that's one way of leaving text as "draft" to message editor. Or you can also select Options > More > Exit editor to do the same. And, next time when you select Create message that previous text should be there as it was left.
But there is also another option to start writing SMS's - with Notes application. Select Menu > Apps > Notes. Write a note and save it. Then for that note select Options > Send note > Send as message. Now your note is copied to message editor and you can send it or further edit and then send. Neat thing here is that when you use Notes application, text can be saved for later editing or use.

thanksI don't think you can. That sounds like a feature of a mail client app itself. The Java mail API is for when you're ready to actually send the thing. Saving drafts is storing them somewhere like you would any other data; nothing to do with the mail API.

Seem to be unable to save a draft when using the hotmail website on my I pad. Go into the drafts folder and start new message but there is only a tab for cancel or send and nothing for save. How can I save text messages to my Mac and will that reduce "Other" in storage?

I have hundreds (or more) of text messages on my iPhone 5 that for personal reasons, I want to save. There are far too many to do screenshots. I want to save them to my MacBook Pro Retina in a readable and printable format. The reason is that I read that text messages can cause the "Other" storage to be higher. My "Other" is over 6 GB on a 16 GB iphone. Therefore I want to save texts, print them, and delete from phone.
First question: Is it true that text messages contribute to the size of "Other"?
Second question: How can I save texts to Mac in readable format so they could be printed?
Third question: How in the world do I delete all these texts from my iPhone efficiently? Is there a way to "mass delete"?
When you are answering this, perhaps it is noteworthy that:
(a) I've had an iPhone since a 3G in 2009, and the texts I want to save have been accumulating since then.
(b) My "Other" has gradually gotten larger over the years.
(c) I sync with itunes regularly.
(d) I've never had any problems with an iphone or with my data.
(e) I've restored from backup only three times, when I upgraded to the iphone 4, 4S, and 5.
I want to get this "Other" cleared up before I upgrade to the iphone 5S.

You can select to export a folder to save as a .mbox file. This file would need to be imported if you wanted to view the messages.
Select mailbox (folder)
Under Mailbox in the Menu bar select Export Mailbox...

Is it only Mail that is slow? How much free space on your drive? Use Disk Utility to find available space.

How can I save finished and shared movies from old iMovieHD-projects

Hi there, I have a big problem:
I have found some old iMovieHD 6 Projects. (.iMovieProject) that already have been finished years ago.
Now I would like to save the finished movies outside the projects but I can't find a way to do this although I've been searching in the www for hours.
When I go to the folder 'shared movies' I find a small .mov file - it's only some KB big.
I can start this and the movie plays with no problem im QuickTime Player 7, the quality ist quite ok - original films were .DV from a camcorder.
When I use iDVD I can take this movie without problems and burn it as DVD or .img on my hard disk.
In this .img I can find the folder VIDEO-TS where I can find the movie al .VOB. But the Quality is really awful.
How can I save the finished movie right out of the folder 'shared movies' in the best quality, maybe as .mov or other ?
I can't install iMovieHD 6.0.3 because my old iLive install-DVD was sold with my old macbook years ago and I don't know if it would work anyway on Mavericks 10.9.5
Now I have iMovie 10 and 11. Importing the old projects would not solve the problem because only the original clips were imported, not the project itself.
Would be QuickTime Pro a solution ? There are items like 'save as' or 'export' but I don't know if it works with this kind of files...

Save the clips as Quicktime files (full quality), then you can import them into later versions of iMovie. An iMovie 6 project would not be compatible with recent versions of iMovie.

Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store
If you want to back up the Photos only:
Export them using the File -> Export command.

How do you save your external edits from Photoshop back to iPhoto?
Fine, I know how it can be done ONCE : you simply flatten the image and then hit Save, and you see your edited image in iPhoto.
But, what if you FIRST want to save the .psd document complete with layers outside iPhoto, THEN flatten the image and save as a jpeg back to iPhoto? I tried this yesterday. I saved as a PSD file - with all layers and a new name - to my Pictures folder. Then I flattened the image and wanted to save it to iPhoto, but the temporary iPhoto location had disappeared from the Photoshop Save dialogue and Photoshop now displayed it under the new name.
This is annoying : you've got to save the PSD document first in order to preserve the layers. But when you do this, you lose the ability to save the image a second time, all layers flattened, back to iPhoto.

But if I'd flattened the psd without saving it as a psd, I could simply have saved it back to iPhoto (I've done that before).
Hold on - perhaps that's the answer...
What if..
1. I flatten the image and Save it back to iPhoto, then ...
2. Undo the 'flatten image' in Photoshop, then save THAT version as a psd?
I'll try this and let you know if it works.

about Project 2007? We have Project 2007 SP3, and (a) it doesn't have an Office Button like the core Office 2007 products, and (b) the SharePoint Local Drafts folder isn't listed in the Save options. Please advise!

If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
• iDVD is part of the boxed version of iLife'11 and can only be bought outside Apple as on Amazon and e-bay
• DVD Studio pro - Part of FinalCut Studio Pro bundle - this to has expired and can only be bought second handed. (High price and tough learning Curve - but best ever done.)
• Roxio Toast™ - Not as elegant as iDVD - but has many other positive additions (I like it as 10-Pro incl BD-component) (now version 11)
• Burn - only free alternative I know of on internet. Very simple - Just for doing a plain Video-DVD

How do I eliminate objects outside of artboard?

I'm working with an 11x17 artboard that I plan to print. I want full-color bleed for some of the objects, so they obviously overlap the artboard border. However, when I save as a pdf (the print shop's needed format), it saves the ENTIRE Illustrator image, including the "out of bounds" objects.
How do I save or export my Illustator file to a pdf so that any information outside the 11x17 artboard is ignored, leaving me with an 11x17 pdf file with full-color bleed?

That should not be necessary in CS4 if you have artwork outside the bleed area and you have the bleed specified and you save or print it as pdf then the are should not not appear outside the bleed area. If you turn on trim marks as well then you will see the trim marks and the bleed as you have specified.
The use of the crop tool is unnecessary in CS 4 for exporting or saving with the bleed.

Why not both trash and archive for gmail? & Save draft?

1. For gmail that I'm through with, I understand I can go to settings and choose to have it either trashed (moved to trash file) or archived (moved to all mail file). But, why an either/or choice? Why can't there be both icons for trash and archive? They are pretty different functions, each useful.
If Mail is incapable of this, is there another email app that can do it?

Setting it to archive is a one time step that is applied to the account.
Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calenders>
Sellect the gmail account you want then slide "On" the Archive Messages feature on this page.
From the inbox you do have the the 2 options you're after and both take 2 clicks. One is the archive icon (an arrow pointing into a box. This send mail to the All Mail folder and the 2nd is an arrow label on a folder. The second option is the move function and with 2 click a message is trashed from your inbox.
