How do I clear the browsing history on my iPad 2?

Settings > Safari > Clear History (and Clear Cookies And Data if you want to clear them as well).
If you also want to clear your search history (i.e. the words/phrases that you've typed in the search box) then you may also need to close Safari completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

  • How can I print my browsing history?

For tax purposes I have to account for how many of my web searches are personal and how many are related to business. So I need to print a list of all of the web pages I have searched.
    Thanks

The above posted steps wouldn't give you the browsing history.
Firefox doesn't have a way to save (backup or export) the history.
The only possibility you have is to copy and paste history items to a bookmarks folder.
You can look at this NirSoft utility:

  • How can I see my browsing history as ip addresses?

I want to see from my firefox browsing history or any other way possible, my old ip (under a different isp) and the ip address of specific sites I have visited in the past.

Thank you, but I could not find an add on that records the ip address, just the Request URL. The DNS server resolved the url.
But there is [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dns-saver/?src=search DNS Saver] that saves the ip of each request. You need also SQL lite manager to select the DNS saver database. Download cache is nice too because it will then give you a file of all items in the db.
    Hope this helps!

You need to update your plugins. It is important to keep them updated due to continuing security fixes and improvements in those plug-ins:
    * Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape (you '''<u>MAY</u>''' need to update)
    * Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45
    * Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_18 for Mozilla browsers
    #Check your plugin versions: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
#*'''Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions'''
    #'''Update Adobe Reader (PDF plugin):'''
#*From within your existing Adobe Reader ('''<u>if you have it already installed</u>'''):
#**Open the Adobe Reader program from your Programs list
#**Click Help > Check for Updates
    #**Follow the prompts for updating
#**If this method works for you, skip the "Download complete installer" section below and proceed to "After the installation" below
#*Download complete installer ('''if you do <u>NOT</u> have Adobe Reader installed'''):
#**Use Firefox to download and SAVE the installer to your hard drive from the link in the article below
#**On the Adobe page, un-check any extra items (i.e. Free McAfee® Security Scan Plus) then click Download button
#**If you see message just under tabs, DO NOT click the Allow button, instead click below that where it says "click here to download".
#**Click "Save to File"; save to your Desktop (so you can find it)
    #**After download completes, close Firefox
#**Click the installer you just downloaded and allow the install to continue
#***Note: Vista and Win7 users may need to right-click the installer and choose "Run as Administrator"

#*SAVE to your Desktop so you can find it

#*Click on the file you just downloaded and install

  • How to find less recent browsing history?

Browsing history in Firefox goes back to the latest 3 months. Since I lost some data, I need to go further back in time. I find help pages mentioning that firefox keeps browser history and buffer or cache and how to clear them, but not how to find it.

Sorry but the History is only really kept in one file and not backed up. In future consider
    # bookmarking more items.
#ensuring you back up bookmarks manually occasionally<br/> [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer#w_manual-backup]]_manual-backup
#* or sync them onto another device [[Firefox Sync - Take your bookmarks, tabs and personal information with you]]
Unless you have been clearing/not saving History, have an enormous, number of bookmarks, or only started using Firefox recently I may have expected you to have a longer period of saved History.
The cache is unlikely to help,it is accessible by typing into the address bar ''about:cache'' The information is not very user friendly. There may be addons available that present the information in a better way (Recent changes may stop many such addons from functioning)

  • How to backup, export & import browser history?

I wish to undertake a removal & then a subsequent reinstallation of FF. However, I wish to retain the browser history _as is_ (though not in JSON form) & import this to the newly reinstalled version.
Can I do this? If so, how?
My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate.

The only way to backup history is to copy history items to a bookmarks folder and export them that way.<br />
Firefox only keeps backups of the bookmarks and not of the history.

  • How can i save my 1yr history ?

I have firefox 15.1 on my Mac OSX 10.6 and i need to save the firefox history for 1yr because i will install new OS so i need to save the history, how can i do that??
    Thanks

You need to create a backup copy of the ''places.sqlite'' file before installing the new operating system. In short, it goes like this:
    # Locate '''[[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data|your profile folder]]'''.
    # Quit Firefox.
    # Create a backup copy of the ''places.sqlite'' file in a safe location that won't be affected by the operating system upgrade (like a removable Flash drive).
    # Upgrade your operating system.
    # Locate '''[[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data|your profile folder]]'''. Depending on how you've performed the upgrade, you might find that your old profile folder has been preserved, along with all the data in it, and restoring the backup is not necessary.
    # Quit Firefox.
    # Replace the current ''places.sqlite'' file with the backup you created earlier.
''places.sqlite-shm'' and ''places.sqlite-wal'' are temporary files that should only exist while Firefox is running. If you can't find them while Firefox is closed, it's a good thing.

How do I restore the Safari browsing history on an iPad 1?  When I click on the "open book" symbol and go to "history" there is nothing there.  Need to check on what sites have been visited.

Private browsing is not one of my options.  It says "general" at the top, then:
    search engine
    autoFill
    Always Show Bookmarks Bar
Then, "Security" is next and under it:
    Fraud warning
    Javascript
    Block Pop ups
