How do I save my edited I/O Labels ?

Hi, I am setting up Logic X and 99% good so far. However I have updated all the I/O Labels in the mixer view and when I leave Logic and go back in again.... they are gone !!  Can someone tell me how to save them as default for all Logic songs.
Thanks
Ian

Have you tried?
Setting everythimg up the way you want in a blank new project.
Then...
Save out as a template
Then...
In Logic's prefs.. set that template as your default one to load... under startup actions

You mean in the organizer? Go back to the edtior and save the way you would in any program (ctrl+S/command+S or File>Save) and close the image there.

Exporting will create a new file for every Image you have selected.  It will not overwrite any files.
Your workflow counters much of the engineering and design that went into Aperture.  Here is a very short guide to getting started with Aperture.
Fwiw, the Aperture Library is a file system.  The Library is a Finder package.  You can see the contents of the package by right-clicking the Library (in Finder) and selecting "Show package contents".  Additionally, for advanced users, Aperture includes features for manually managing the files you import into the Library (they can be located on any drive directly connected to your machine).

How do I save an edited image from Elements back into my iPhoto gallery?

    You have two options:
    1. Set PSE as your external editor, send the photo from iphoto, work on it in PSE and save it without changing the name or format (you don't want to see the Save As window) and iphoto will remember your original + last saved version, although you'll have to lose the edits to see the original again. This doesn't work for raw files and you will probably need to set the Editor preferences>saving files>on first save to save over existing to get it to work for other formats.
    2. Export the photo to the desktop, use file>open in PSE, make all the changes you want, save the file in any format with any name you like, then import the edited photo to iphoto as a new file.

Set the work area on the timeline to the limits of the clip that you want to export.  Then File>Export>Media.
You need to consider what the exported file is intended for, so you can determine a suitable format and preset for the export.

How can I save an edited converted (from PDF) file?

    Hi alisonr1825446,
When you convert a PDF file to Word/Excel, it's automatically saved to your Acrobat.com online account. From there, you can download it to your desktop to edit it, and then save it. To download your file, log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. Select the file, and then click the Download link at the top of the file list. Your file will be downloaded to the Downloads folder on your computer.
Please let us know how it goes.

  • How can I save an edited movie scene to my computer?

I have Premiere Elements 11. I have the original, full movie clip but I'd like to save an edited section so I can work on it in a different Elements file. I believe to transfer to a different file I need to first save it to my computer. How can I do that?
    Thanks!

I would archive the project with the Premiere Elements 11 workspace's File Menu/Project Archiver using the Copy option (choice is Archive or Copy). In this way you are creating a folder with your project.prel assets which include copies of the media that went into that project.
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premiereelements/using/WS09e4b3c48f3a79fc19b622510385d4355c-7d cb.html
Typically that is done for the whole project. The urgent matter is keeping the media that went into the project.prel connected to it, lest you end up with the nasty missing media situation.
You can selective export a portion of the Timeline to a file saved to the computer hard drive by using the gray tabs of the Work Area Bar to span just that segment and making sure that the export settings include "Share Work Area Bar Only".
Another thought might be to make a copy of your project.prel which includes only the edited section, then use the Project Archiver on that.
Please review and see if any of that works for you.
More details to follow if necessary.
    Thanks.

  • How do I save an edited clip back to my library?

I've dragged a clip to the timeline, I've edited it by rotating the clip and expanding it's size. I now want to save that edit that I've just done on the clip BACK to my library window. How do I do this? I've tried right-clicking and selecting "Make Subclip" but a second instance of the video just appears back in the library in it's original form.

If you are "fixing"  a clip, and want the effects you applied to follow every use of the clip in the timeline, you may want to look at applying a Master Clip effect to the source clip. Once you have done that, every time you use material from the clip, the corrections you have made by applying Master Effects will be applied as well.
This is useful, for example, if you are correcting say - phone footage that needs to be rotated vertically, then cut up to the timeline.
    There is a tutorial here:
How to apply effects to all instances of a clip | Adobe Premiere Pro CC tutorials
When you want to apply Motion effects such as scale and rotation to a Master Effect, you can go to Effects > Distort > Transform and apply the Transform effect. That will give you scale and rotation control.
By apply Master Effects, you avoid the need to export/import or subclip.

  • How do I save my edits in iPhoto and/or Aperture?

I have edited an image in iPhoto and again in Aperture and can't find either. The original remains. I can find no "Save" option and assumed that it was automatic. If so, where does it go? Is there a "save as" option?

I can find no "Save" option and assumed that it was automatic. If so, where does it go? Is there a "save as" option?
Yes, Aperture and iPhoto will save the edited Version.
In Aperture the edited version will replace the previously edited version, unless you set the option "Create new versions when making adjustments" in the Aperture Preferences Advanced panel.
So the image you are seeing in iPhoto or Aperture will be your edited image.
Were you expecting to find an edited version outside the Aperture library in the Finder? If you want that, use the command "File > Export" to save an edited version of your image to a folder on the Desktop. Aperture does not actually create edited image file, unless you export a version.

  • How Do I Save An Edited Project?

Ok.  Brand new newbie here.  Loaded a bunch of images from a directory into Aperture.  (I want to store my files in the file system, not in an Aperture library.)
Edited those files.  Now I want to save all the files, edited or otherwise, back into the same directory, overwriting files when appropriate.
    How do I do that??
I've tried File->Export->Version, but it only saves one image.
My undetstanding is that Aperture does not commit edits until the files are exported.

Exporting will create a new file for every Image you have selected.  It will not overwrite any files.

  • How do you save an edited photo?

After I edit my photo it will not save to the new edited look.  It only appears in the edited look while I'm in the edit mode.  Once I click on any other button or mode such as info it automatically reverts to the original picture and does not stay in the edited version.  I have tried copying the edited version, duplicating it, exporting it, and downloading it.  After doing all of these functions it appears to be the edited version on my iPhotos library but once you click on it, the orignal pic appears. Help me please! Thank you.

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • How do i save an edited iPhoto

I'm new to iphoto from photoshop.  I've cropped a photo but it doesn't show up anywhwere.  When I go back to the edit mode from the original pic, the cropped image displays. However I can't find it to view or print as a discrete photo.

  • How do I save an edited movie with brightness, contrast adjustments

I am using Quicktime pro ver 7.6.4(518.35) and I love its editing features especially the rotation and brightness adjustment features. Is it possible to save a move with these edits so they will be view correct with the basic Quicktime player? I have a movie that I edited the contrast and brightness and resave it as its original MOV file. The new contrast and brightness setting show up when I play the video on the same computer that has my Quicktime pro on it. But, when I play it on another computer with the basic Quicktime player the movie reverts to the original Contrast and brightness. Am I doing something wrong? I even tried to export it to another format and lose the video portion of the movie.
I would hope that I could fully edit a movie save it and give it to my family so they can view it like it was edited. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Ok, after some searching, I found the export filter settings...
However, the exported video appearance does not match that of the source video with similar A/V settings.
Example 1 = Source video (.3g2) with A/V settings, recorded with screen capture software. *http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezvE6sUeUb0*
Example 2 = Source video with similar export filter settings (brightness/contrast) *http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tQYXWX17zQ*
When the video gets brighter, the brightness dims and when the video gets darker, the brightness increases... contrast settings seemed to be ignored.
All I can say is.. what the HECK?
It's pretty sad when I have to rely on screen capture software to get the desired result! Luckily the source video was taken with a cell phone, so there was no noticeable loss in video quality.
