How do I save my iCloud data?

How can I save my data so as to transfer it to a new ID?

If you go to Settings>icloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Data, that will disconnect the device from icloud (but not delete data).  During this process you should be asked whether you want the contacts, etc. saved locally - say yes.  Then log back using the new ID.  You will always be able to return to the old ID to activate the data if something goes wrong and you need to get it back.   Oh, about email, be sure to drag (on a computer) all the email from the old ID account to local mailboxes on the computer.
By "data", I assume the Apple synced data like contacts, calendars, notes, reminders, etc.  Any other data may or may not be transferrable - it depends on which apps are associated with the data.

How do I manage my iCloud data across various devices....like my iPhone 5 and Macbook

If you are using the same iCloud account on all your devices (as recommended), then you could manage your iCloud storage in "Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage" which would have effects accross devices.

so i sighned into someone elses device with the current icloud account and i sighned out. Some of the icloud data from the other device is now on mine. All i want to know is how to delete all the icloud data in my current icloud account from the other icloud account

    Hello ,
I had the same problem and i have done everything manually.
It's a shame that Apple doesn't put a "Reset to factory Settings" button or simply "Delete all data from iCloud.com". That way, it would be much simpler for everyone including myself.
Winston Churchill is right unfortunately . Happy deleting !

  • Running 10.6.8 with quicken 2006.  Would like to upgrade to a new machine/software.  How can I save my quicken data?

Would like to upgrade to a new Macbook Pro machine/software.  How can I save my quicken data from quicken 2006?

Users have reported that Quicken 2015 for Mac is an upgrade of the generally loathed Quicken Essentials for Mac.
I recommend you continue your Quicken operating experience by purchasing Quicken 2007 for Mac directly from Intuit for $15.  It will open your Quicken 2006 file and operate as you have before.

  • How do I find my iCloud data that Yosemite erased ?? Yosemite has resurrected an old Apple ID from the Me days. Everything is gone because of Yosemite

How do I find all my data on ICloud. I downloaded Yosemite and it erased ALL of my data on the Cloud. It caused an Apple ID from Me to resurrect and has wreaked havoc on my devices. It even erased all my backup data on my Passport drive. The Passport drive shows all of my downloaded backups from 2011, but when you double clickon the various backup dates, they all show as empty. I was able to restore my music by downloading a 3rd party application, but my pictures are gone. I was having a conversation thisweekend and an eavesdropper said she has the EXACT same problem.

An apple ID is nothing more than a "User ID"
Actually, it is more than that. If you read the licensing agreements for any OS version or app obtained at the app store, it will become clear: the license for any app or OS obtained at the app store is not transferable. Hence it is tied to your Apple ID and will remain so - it cannot be removed.
You are supposed to remove anything obtained at the app store from the computer before giving/selling it. Your father will also not be able to reinstall the OS if need be.
Which OS version was on the Mac originally? You will need to use internet recovery (Command + Option + R) to erase your drive and then reinstall the original OS (if Lion or later). If it came with an install DVD, boot from that, erase the drive and reinstall. After that, your father can very easily download/update/reinstall any OS or app using his own Apple ID.

  • How do I save a mutlitcolumn data to a text file?

I am trying to save a multicolumn data to a text file without using Report Generation VIs. Here is the detail scenario...
I have data in the following format.
    Time Voltage
    1 2
    2 3
    3 6 ...
    and
    Power
    1
    and
    Peaks
    x-axis y-axis
    Peak1 1 4
    Peak2 5 11
If I have such data, how would I put them in a columnar format with their title and labels in a text file.
Any example VIs would be nice to see.
    Thanks.

Here is one solution, hope it helps. I would like to see this done using clusters and less shift arrays, I'm sure there are a few ways to do this with less wires but i guess that's what sub vi's are for...

  • How do I access older icloud dates?

how do i restore to a much older icloud date? I've tried to access an older date but i only have 3 options available.

According to Apple's documents they keep 3 last backups in icloud, but you can try to use computer backup. The good thing - those are way older usually- downside you need to find one.

  • I want to upgrade to snow leopard, how do i save all my data?

What do i have to do before i set back to default status to save all my data?

Whilst it's essential to maintain an up-to-date backup of all your important files, especially if you're updating your OS, the update process itself will not overwrite your files.
If you don't currently have any backup I'd recommend getting that organised first before upgrading. SuperDuper! and Carbon Copy Cloner are regularly recommended as excellent backup programs. Once you're on Snow Leopard you can automatically backup to an external drive using Time Machine.
Worth checking that your computer meets the technical requirements for the upgrade:

  • How can i save alternatively the data without asking the acquisition program?

    hello,
I'm developing un acquisition program for a machin that have the syclic operations, I want to save automatically the data in different fils evry sycl!

    Hi Anward,
When you create a file, you could index the name by time or something unique (iteration number for instance).
So if the vi that creates the file has a loop which keeps tract of the test cycle, then you can place the filename creation within this loop. If it is located within a sub-vi which is called at every cycle, then create the name there. Make sure you close the written file at the end of each cycle.
Use the "Open/Create/Replace File.vi" located in "File I/O" of the Functions Palette. Wire the option to Create new file.

  • How can I save to iCloud after turning OFF "Documents and Data"?

I seldom store documents on iCloud, and I was tired of having iCloud be the default save location for my Numbers documents, so I went into iCloud Preferences and de-selected "Documents and Data".  That worked.  Now iCloud is no longer the default save location.
But if I wanted to save the occasional spreadsheet on iCloud, how do I get it there without turning "Documents and Data" back on? I thought there was a way to select iCloud as an optional save location, but can't figure out how to do it.

I think the easiest way to get around this problem is to keep a blank document in your Documents folder , the duplicate and save as needed.  The default loacation in this case is where the document is currently stored.

  • How can I save my media/data to alternate HD in Mac Pro?

    Hi folks,
I have recently become the proud owner of a new Mac Pro. I'm really enjoying the Mac experience since buying a Macbook before Christmas to test the water.
I have a quick question that I hope someone may be able to help me with. I have a Mac Pro with two hard drives. My intention is to use one HD for system/applications and the other for media/data (with an external HD for backup).
I can't figure out how to tell OSX that I want to save all of my photos/videos/iTunes library on the "other" HD (i.e. not my system HD). I'm sure this is a "dumb" question but could someone please point me in the right direction?
    Cheers,
    Simon

    Hi, Simon.
You can instruct iTunes and iPhoto to save their respective libraries to a different disk, e.g. your second hard drive. You can also move existing libraries for these apps to a drive other than your startup disk.
See the links concerning moving these libraries cited in the "More ways to save space if you have a spare partition or second hard drive" section of my "Freeing Space on your Mac OS X startup disk" FAQ.
    Good luck!
