i just got a new ipod video for my birthday and i have no clue whats so ever what to do after i put my dvd into my computer. can any one tell me the steps to saving the movie so i can load it to my ipod..

i have some more info I can add to my problem
if I login to the podcast website from a windows7 pc using firefox, and I try to download the MP3 I can make two choices. I can click on the link to listen to the podcast in the broswer. Or I can right click and select "save link as" to save the MP3 locally.

If i chose to "save link as" it will direct me to the .MP3 file to download. And if I do this on my BB Torch it will do a similar thing. It will ask me if I want to play or save the .mp3 file.
but if I navigate to that linkk with my playbook, and I hold over the link and select "Save link as". It doesn't save the .mp3 file. it only saves the link ...."http://www.jimrome.com/member/stream-link?stream=2011-04-22&site=jimrome&type=download_show&clips=1"
so on my playbook, my only option is to stream the file, because even if I stream the mp3 it will play in a new tab. but I will still have no option to save it.

When updated my software today to 6.1.3 the voice memos were GONE off of my iPod but they were recognized when I synced it when plugged back in. They imported into the voice memos folder in iTunes but they are no longer visible on the iPod. The are only stored in iTunes now (since they do not appear on your iPod) and can't be imported back into the Voice Memo's app on the iPod. Go to the voice memos in your iTunes libary and righ click on one and select Get Info. The bottom of the Summary tab gives the location of the file.Go thee and do what y want with it.

Thanks for the fast reply. I converted the songs to ACC format. When I select them all and drag to the SD card in the Finder window it just goes right back into iTunes and nothing is copied. The songs were all from CD's I had that I put into the iTunes. I have the SD card in a reader and it shows up in the devices section, am I doing this wrong?

You will first need to copy all the music from your iPod to your computer. There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes. The first link below provides step-by-step instructions for the direct method if you have a PC as well as a few third party applications (for both the Mac and PC) if you choose to go that route instead. You can also do a simple Google search for "copy music from iPod to computer" and you should receive a number of sites that can help you out.
Just make sure that when you have your iPod plugged into your computer, that you don't hit "Erase and Sync" before completing the task of copying your music over.
Also, if you have any purchased music, you will probably have to re-authorize your computer by heading to the Store drop down menu and choosing "Authorize computer."

The easiest and most efficient way to copy your music is to follow the steps under the External drive section. Make sure that you have organized the iTunes library first before you copy it over. Then put the copied iTunes folder in the same Music folder on your computer.

Your best bet would be to set up a separate Apple ID for her to use with iCloud, Messages, and FaceTime, but continue to use the same iTunes account for purchases (click on the second box "Use one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases" to go directly to the section which outlines how to do this). The reason you would want to continue to use the current ID for iTunes is because all of the purchases made under that ID will be forever tied to that ID - purchases cannot be transferred to another ID:
