How do I save my Prel file as a .MOV file or other movie file in Prel 12?

I'm trying to upload an edited video to YouTube I made in Prel 12 but it had an error when I tried to share it in Prel but it said the video was too long even though my video was only 4 minutes long.
So how do I fix that or save my project under something other than a .prel?

I know the function "write to spreadsheet file.vi"
can append the data
to file. You can use the "concatenate strings" to display the date,
time as well as data... Hope this help.

It is simply too painful to have to zip everything up into a single file to send. MHT format has been available for years now from IE, and with every new FF release it's the first thing I look for. I have been using FF for years, and hate having to come out of it, over into IE |(which I even took out of startup) and key everything in again, in order to send somebody something in a convenient format that they can open with a single click.
I can't believe this hasn't been asked before, so have you looked at it and rejected it? Have MS kept the file format secret?

This is not really an answer just my comments on your question.
I am sure I recollect efforts being made to get mhtml to work with FF.
Probably the important thing to remember about .mhtml is that if other browsers do support it they may need addons, and may not necessarily render the content correctly/consistently.
There are FF addons designed for archiving webpages, you could try them, but that then assumes the recipient has the same software.
You could simply save the page from FF to your XP pc; then offline open it with and save it using IE, before then emailing using FF, and attaching the .mht or mhtml file that you have now created on your PC.
As an alternative method, in some cases it could be worth considering taking a screen grab of the required page, then sending that to the recipient as a single email attatchment using either a bitmap or jpeg file format for instance.
Something such as an airline booking may be designed with a print option, possibly it could be worthwile looking at sending the print file itself as an email attachment.

How can I save a web page without creating a dozen or more tiny files, which is worse than Internet Explorer?

When I try to save a Firefox web page, I get about a dozen tiny files with funny names cluttering up my documents folder, and making it hard to find anything. This reminds me of problems I used to have with Internet Explorer more than ten years ago. But at least, IE was kind enough to gather all of these files in a single folder, named "files". Firefox dumps them all into my documents folder. Messy.
Years ago, I discovered Opera, which offered a file format that combined the original html code with the other files into one file: an internet archive, with the extension mht instead of htm. I used Opera for years, but recently became aware of the advantages of Firefox.
A few days ago, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and installed it. I have been evaluating it ever since. It looks good; I have figured out (more or less) how bookmarks work, and I'm getting used to the taskbars.
But when I try to save a page, I still get a deluge of tiny files cluttering up the target folder. Firefox doesn't save pages in archive form, but only in the old scattered form. Of course, I could simply save only the html. Maybe that's the best thing, but it loses a lot.
The chaos of junky files cluttering up my target folder is enough to send me back to Opera, despite its limitations.

How I can save an existed Table "exactly" into an Excel or a Text file?

I am able to save from a Table into an Excel file, but I could not put in it the following:
a)Column Headers
b)First column should be integer
c)The Scientific notation (supposed to be with 6 decimal point) but it shows only two decimal point
d)In the last 3 rows, it couldn't understand --> it showed Zero's

First of all, the Write to Spreadsheet File function does not create an Excel file. It creates a text file with values separated by a delimiter. Excel is capable of recognizing tabs and commas as delimiters and will convert the text into a spreadsheet.
Most of your problems can be solved by converting Write to Spreadsheet to accept arrays of strings instead of arrays of numbers and adding the column headers to the array. You'll probably have to experiment with the Excel import function as well.
Thye best way, however to get exactly what you want into Excel is to use ActiveX. There is an example the4 comes with LabVIEW that shows some of the basics. You can find other examples by searching the Developers Zone. NI also sells a toolkit for reading/
writing Excel and Word files.

How can I save a website as a favorite place under more than one file folder? I think I used to have this ability, now it'll only save it in one place.

What this does for me is allow me to find rarely accessed websites by looking under different kinds of categories of favorite places. If I'm restricted to only one location for the data it makes it harder to find.

In the past, if I created a new file folder and saved a webpage to the new folder, it would persist even after I saved it a 2nd time to a different folder. Now, if I save it to a 2nd folder, it will disappear from the 1st folder.

You can do a Copy & Paste in the Bookmarks Manager (Shift+Ctrl+B) to create a copy of a bookmark.<br />
You can also drag the website's favicon on the left end of the location bar to a folder into the Bookmarks menu drop down list or to a folder in the Bookmarks side bar (Ctrl+B) or onto the Bookmarks Toolbar.<br />
In the side bar you need to click to the left of the icon to prevent Firefox from opening the bookmark.

How do i save STACKS of images (e.g. TIFF) as a SINGLE file in IMAQ?

I would like to save stacks of images (movies and time series) as single files (TIFF in particular) but i can only find support in IMAQ for saving single images to single files. Does anyone know how to save STACKS? (As far as i know that is a common feature in most frame grabbers).
I am using a PCI-1408 card for analog acquisition and NI-IMAQ driver in Windows 2000.

There are no utilities in IMAQ to save image sequences in a single file.
One possible solution, if you aren't trying to compress the images, is to extract the 2D array of pixel intensities and save them as a standard array. You would be able to store as many arrays as you want in a single file.
If you want to compress the images, there are utilities for creating AVI files. I have used a wavelet compression utility that I wrote LV drivers for, also. I have Photoshop Elements 11 and find that I cannot take images from email, work on them and then file them in the organizer. I can get images off of phones and digital cards but not from my gmail. What do I do?

How do I save separate artboards as .ai or .eps from a multiple artboard file?

I have tried googling this and am able to save each artboard as a jpg but not as an eps or ai file.

The easiest solution is to use the multi-exporter script that Matthew Ericson has written. I use it to export either layers or artboards as seperate EPS files for print or PNGs etc.

How do I change the PS desktop background to a .JPG or other suitable file format of my choosing?

I asked this question a couple months ago and never really received a satisfactory answer. Maybe Adobe holds these secrets close to the vest.
What I would like to accomplish is changing my PS desktop background so that every time I open PS it has a background that I have chosen. (Yes I know you can change the black and grey in the preferences panel) What I want is not necessarily in the preferences panel, unless I'm missing something altogether.
Now here I'm adding a screenshot of a fairly well known PS user CB (who is especially good at 3D) who has his background basically the way I would like mine. If anyone can tell me how to accomplish this thank you!

What I'm looking for is something similar to the dark blue background. I have a JPG file similar to this that I would like to use. Now I was able to change the splash opening screen in Lightroom, so I imagine the fix is something similar.

That did work and it's the same as the frame in the sample I provided. Unfortunately not what I wanted. I guess I need to be much more specific. I would like to change the background to look similar to what that sample is, AND be able to have PS as an application that's on top of my desktop and not take up the entire desktop. (which is what happens if I break out the application frame) Probably not something that is doable. I was hoping that similar to changing the Lightroom Splash screen I could change the PS desktop background to something of my choosing other than black or shades of gray. Oh and I am on an iMac.

How do you change the default location of the library xml and other related files?

After the most recent software update of iTunes for Windows, the new software resorts to going to a folder on my hard drive for the files that determine your library:
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.xml
My itl and xlm files are located at on an exgternal network connected drive in a iTunes\ folder.
Asa temporary solution I replated and copied my itl and xml files into the C drive folders but I would like to modifiy the defualt settings in the solftware?
Is that possible?

The problem goes like this. I want to pause the sound from playing in scene1.fla -> scene1.swf in anytime I want, through my main.fla -> main.swf that loads the scene1 movie. I got stuck.

you need to use the path from the timeline that contains the controlling code and myLoop. you can always use trace(this) on both timelines (the one containing the controlling code and the one containing myLoop) to determine the correct path.

Need to publish PHP files and be able to "open other movie"

I am hoping someone can help me. I converted my published
captivate projects to PHP per request of my company web team. In
most projects, I link to an addional project using the On success:
"Open other project" command. All projects are .cp files and this
feature has always worked in the past when published and uploaded
my projects as .htm. I can still upload my files as .php with the
.swf file and opening a project from my web page works fine.
However, when I click the link at the end of one project to open
the next, I recieve an error stating the file cannot be found.
Consequently, the file it is looking for is the .htm and I cannot
figure out a way for it to look for the .php file. Because of
company standards, I cannot simply upload all files (.php, .swf,
.htm) as a work around. Does anyone have a procedure to make
Captivate "call" the .php file extention when linking a project
instead of the .htm?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

You might try using the approach of "Open URL or File". Then
point to the URL of the PHP page instead.
I think if I were in your shoes, I'd arrange a meeting with
the web team and see if you can figure out why HTM/SWF are bad and
things MUST be PHP or die. You may just find that after you explain
all the extra effort and time wasted in attempting to be compliant
with what is often some IT person's whim and mandate, things will
change and you will be allowed to publish what has always worked
until IT wanted to change things and break it and point their
fingers at you.
