How do I save my title settings in FCE?

I am creating complex titles in FCE using the lower-third feature.  How do I save these settings to use the exact same ones later?  I don't want to start over and may not remember exactly what they were.  They need to match through the video.  It seems that I have done this before but can't remember and of course nothing in the documentation.

I cannot recall if FCE has a Favorites bin in the Browser like FCP does, but if it's there, drag the title clip from the Timeline to your Favorites folder - or - probably the simplest method would be to create a "Favorites" project; create a new project file in FCE and Save As "Favorites" (or whatever name you choose).  Copy the title clips to the new project and save.  You can add different title clips (or other clips) to that project over time.  Whenever you need to use those titles again, just open the "Favorites" project file and copy them into the new project.

  • How can I save multiple titles under the same DVD?

I use HandBrake to rip DVD's into iTunes. How can I save multiple titles under the same DVD? For instance, I have a Jimi Hendrix documentary that comes with special features, such as concert performances. I would like to have the main feature and the special features saved in my iTunes under the same title, perhaps as different 'tracks' (kind of like how different songs can be saved under the same album).
Is there a way for me to do this, or am I chasing phantoms?

*This response is for iPhoto 11 (v9). If you're using an earlier version, please post back and let us know. Troubleshooting steps are not the same for different versions. To find out which iPhoto you have: iPhoto Menu -> About iPhoto)*
Duplicate the photo first. (Photos -> Duplicate). This means that you will have multiple copies of the master as well as the edited version.
If you use versions like this often and wish to have only one master then you can do this with Aperture.

  • How can I save the Personal Settings done in the SAP standard viewer

    Dear All,
I am facing the problem that I am not able to save changes made in the personal settings of the SAP standard viewer. I want to change the Colors to monochrome and I also want to change the background. Unfortunatelly these changes are not saved and I have to do that every time I am starting the viewer.
How can I save these changes?
Thank you very much for your help.
    Best regards,
    Markus

    Dear Markus,
normally the personal settings for the ECL Viewer are stored in the registry. Here the value for background color is for example stored in the following directory:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/SAP/VCT_Retained/6.1/Common/de/ImageViewUtils
Depending in the language of the operating system the key has weither the value 'en' (english) or 'de' german.
So here the personal settings should be stored or can be modified directly.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • How to permanently save the color settings in terminal.app

    Hi,
I have configured the "ls" command in the terminal.app to give colored outputs. However, I realised that for some reason the color-set used is designed for a light-colored background. When I use "white on black", the default blue color of the directories is almost invisible.
Of course, I can change this to another color, but this problem is true for all "blue" fonts, so for example, the default color for comments in vim is also blue and thus unreadable with black background.
This is not a problem when I use the xterm in X11. The color set there is much lighter and is perfect for a black backgound.
By drag-and-drop method (drag the chosen color on top of the directory texts in terminal), I am able to alter the blue color to a much lighter version. This apparently changes all fonts that is blue (this includes for example vim comments), and is exactly what I wanted. But I cannot figure out a way to save this as default. Clicking "Save setting as default" button in the inspector does nothing, the new terminal window still gives you this dark blue.
Anyone know how do I do this?
    Cheers,
    Lianheng

    Hi Nils,
    Thanks for the replies.
I think I see what the problem is: basically the colors in the terminal are darker than that of the xterm in X11. This can be clearly seen from the vim. May be this is to do with the fact that apple terminal.app has a "better" color support?
I quite like the default LSCOLORS settings, which is:
    LSCOLORS=exfxcxdxcxegedabagacad
The color settings in X11 is just perfect for me at the moment. It would be so much nicer if I can make the color scheme in terminal.app look like that of the X11. If say, I change LSCOLORS to
    LSCOLORS=gxfxcxdxcxegedabagacad
and change the color schemes in vim to a lighter theme, but this will effect the colors in X11 too, which is perfect now. Cyan will look too light in X11.
At the first I thought by drag and dropping the colors into terminal it will alter its color map. So my question was actually how can one (if it is possible) change the color map of the terminal.app, so that it inteprets the ANSI "blue" slightly differently.
By the way, the way that you can see all colors in vim is really neat! Thanks for that tip.
    Cheers,
    Lianheng

  • How do I save Bridge workspace settings so that screen opens as I want it?

I use CS3 on Intel iMac.  Recently upgraded to Snow Leopard, but had printer problems and have uninstalled and gone back to Leopard fttb.  Software wiped of course and carelessly I didn't save PS settings.  CS3 now reinstalled.
I use Bridge to scroll through my images and then open in PS.  I know how to save my own customised workspace (Window, Workspace, Save etc) and I make it Workspace 1 in the lower right boxes.  I like the panel maximised without any of my desktop showing (e.g. as when hitting the green button top left) and I like Folders opened up showing in left hand panel, with files showing in vertical film strip on right.  Every time I open up Bridge the panel is smaller than the one I saved so I have to maximise the screen.  Also Favorites opens up, not my Folders so I then have to open up several sub folders to get the right ones.
Before uninstalling then reinstalling Leopard, Bridge appeared the way I wanted but I can't figure out how to do it again i.e. it doesn't come on the way I left it.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    Bob

  • How do I save my zoom settings, so it automatically applies to all websites?

I had to reinstall firefox, somehow the old one was set to +2 zoom with all web pages, for some reason this newer version won't save my preference and every time i go to a new page, I'm on the size that's too small for me to read. How do I adjust firefox to automatically make all pages +2 zoom?

    Hello,
Firefox on Windows is now following display scaling options which may render text larger on high resolution displays.
You can adjust your screen resolution.
To modify it do the following:
    * Type '''about:config''' into the Firefox address bar and tap on the Enter key.
    * If the warning '''This might void your warranty''' appears, click '''I'll be careful, I promise'''.
    * Search for '''layout.css.devPixelsPerPx'''
    * Double-click on layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to modify its value. The default is -1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to '''1.0''' to make it work like in previous Firefox versions.
If necessary, further adjust the value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps. Use values between 1.0 and about 0.5 to reduce elements in size. Use values greater than 1.0 to increase size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase font size to 125% to accommodate the default DPI setting in Windows 8. '''Double check the value that you enter.''' Setting a too small value will make everything disappear and a too large value will blow things up.
If web pages still need to be adjusted then you can look at the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/ Default FullZoom Level] or [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/ NoSquint] extension.
To adjust the font size for the user interface, you can use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/ Theme Font & Size Changer] extension.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.

  • How do I save Safari resolution settings?

Every time I open a Safari web page I have to zoom larger twice to make the window the correct size so the words are not over the graphics and not onto of each other. After I zoom 2x The correct size is achieved. Is there a way to save this setting so it doesn't have to be adjusted on each tab I open?

Thanks for replying. I attempted that, but it made the overlap worse. I have attached the windows (notice the font overlapping the graphics) before choosing the zoom "A" and after choosing the "A". I have to zoom every time a tab to read it properly. I am trying to save the size, appearance of the window?

  • How can I save audio midi settings OSX 10.7.4

Every time I boot my MAC PRO I have to go into "Audio MIDI Setup" from the utilities folder and reset the inputs and outputs of my Focusrite audio interface. It is always normaled to the "Built-in Device" and will not remember that i have reset it to the Focusrite "Saffire" OSX 10.7.4.
I had no problem in OSX 10.5.8
    Any answers here?

    Hi Jim,
    Try this:
While the Built-In device is selected, Open Finder, go to Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences > Audio, and trash both files inside that folder.  Then select your Focusrite interface, and run some audio through it.  Once you've done that, restart your computer and see if it holds up.

  • How do I save title settings in FCPX?

    Hi,
I'm trying to find out how I can save title settings so that I don't have to redo everything each time I create a video.
Specifially, I go into the Titles Browser and select "Gradient - Edge" which I then drag onto the timeline for my video. I then have to manually go into the Inspector to make the appropriate changes.
I have a series of videos that will all use the same text and would like to know if there was any way to save my changes in "Gradient - Edge" and then simply drag it to my video each time I want to use it, all with the same text and modifications.
    I'm using Final Cut Pro X 10.0 on a 13" MacBook mid 2010 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4
    Many thanks.

I can think of two ways to achieve this.
    1) Create an empty compound clip in the Event Browser, open it in the timeline, add the generators and titles you want, adjust everything to your liking.
This will be there in the Event library to reuse over and over again.
I do this often and I even have a specific event, which I called Templates (but, of course, could be called anything meaningful) for the purpose of keeping the stuff that I reuse often.
    2) Control-click on the title or generator, and choose "Open a copy in Motion".
Then you can adjust everything in Motion and have a new title or generator (they can be both practically the same thing) rigged (pun intended!) just the way you like it, right there in the generator browser in FCP X.
