How do I save pages from my website, [link removed] into a PDF file, with proof of the date the pdf file was created on? I need to display the content of each unique url of my site in PDF format for compliance purposes, and prove the image was taken from a given date. Anyone can help that would be great.

Impossible to do with Reader. If you own Acrobat and use Create PDF from Webpage. The document will have a creation date. If you then sign the pdf on the date of creation, you have proof of when the document was created and proof that the document wasn’t altered since signed.

To include an existing JSP page as a portlet have a look in the PDK section http://portalcenter.oracle.com there is lots useful information. The two things you might find most relevant is a paper on creating java portlets. This paper has a section on turning an existing JSP page into a portlet

How can I stop pages from automatic reloading, I am aware of the option in advanced, but it does not work for pages like Yahoo News and Drudge Report.

I am trying to stop pages from being able to automatically reload. Sites such as Drudge Report and now Yahoo News anre reloading before I have a chance to read them and it confuses me due to a disability besides just being annoying. I have found the option in tools-advanced-accessibility and checked it but they still reload. And I did close Firefox and restart.
I am using version 3.6.8 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722

The Drudge Report site has a script to reload after 3 minutes:

The Yahoo page probably has something similar.
You can try NoScript to see if you can block that refresh.

iCab mobile allows for this, and does a pretty good job. There is also an app called Off line pages you might want to look into. Not the only apps by any means, so checking to app store would be worth the effort.

You do not need to use a menu item. You need a script that is at the application folder level, in a batch process, or an added menu item. Adding a menu item requires and application folder level script or console JavaScript.

We have a custom URL where it does not shows the server name When I try to access it with the regular URL with the server name it works fine. If you haven't modified anything, Pages is installed on /Applications. All users have access to this folder, identified as "Applications" on the Finder sidebar, so you don't have to move anything, because Pages will work on all your users.
If you have installed Pages on ~/Applications (being ~ your user folder), then you have to move Pages to /Applications. After doing this, you will be able to access to Pages on all users

The only way you could batch this with out of the box PE is to put in via process multiple files in the editor, but you'd have to manually type it in and can only do one date per batch of files. So you could do all the photos taken on one day in one batch, but not a group taken on different days.

System preferences > Network > WiFi > ( Advanced ) > DNS

Thank you so much - so simple! I had been using the 'share' option (worked in old Pages) and only had icloud or email as options. I have to attach word documents to emails to send to work. I don't want to use icloud because it's too public and I don't trust it. Also, you have to be able to access the internet and I need word documents on my USB stick for work where there's no internet.
I love my Mac but I do wish Apple would remember those of us living in less-than-perfect computer-land.

Where are you expecting to see "iCloud document?" Pages stores copies of your documents in iCloud but the documents appear in the Pages app. When you edit the document changes are automatically saved to iCloud. You do not go to iCloud to look for documents to open or copy.

To automatically save photos from a website

I would like to use Apple Script or Automator or something else to automatically copy and save photos from a website on my HD.
There's a site with a great number of photos (museum showing photos, paintings, and other sites, all in JPEG) and I would like to create a program that will first open the thumbnail and once open as a large picture, will copy/save the photo to a specified folder on my HD, then go back to the page with the thumbnails and do the same with the second photo, then the third, and so on. And if possible to the next page after that. So I don't have to spend hours and hours doing this.
After it is downloaded I will look what I want to keep and what I want to delete.
How can I do this ?

I am trying to create an html file with meta tag keywords and description for search indexing purposes, the idea is to have the user call a jsp page and enter the desired meta tags in a form then save this info in html format so the Spider can index it at a later time. I would like to take Meta keywords and descriptions from a form entered by the user and generate an html page with the keywords and descriptions in the proper tags. This html page must be saved on the server so our Spider can index it. The idea is to increase the results for a webpage by indexing an html page with proper meta tags defined and redirect the searcher to the desired page. I'm not sure how to create an html file to be saved on the server, not displayed in the originating browser. Thanks
