How do I save passwords when I initialy told it "never for this site"?

I have several sites that I want to save the password for, but when the prompt first showed up I clicked on "never for this site" and now I want to change to remember but the prompt doesn't show up and I don't know where to find it.

Remove the site from the exceptions: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: Exceptions

  • I accidentaly checked "never for this site" under save password. How can I change setting?

    Whn asked save this password
three choices, I meant to choose "not now" but accidentally checked "never for this site" How do I change settings?

Some sites like PayPal, Yahoo, Windows Live and bank sites use autocomplete="off" to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and the password.
If a site uses autocomplete="off" then look at this article for a bookmarklet to remove that autocomplete attribute and Firefox will offer to store the name and password.

  • I changed my mind after selecting "never for this site" and now want to save a password.

I declined to save a password by selecting "never for this site" the first time I went to the site. Now, I want Firefox to remember the password. I can not find a way to a add or save the password. Can you help?

If you choose Never then Firefox creates an exception.<br />
You can remove that site from the exceptions:

  • Password reminder: Make safari forget "Never for this site" setting

    Hello,
Today by mistake I clicked on the button "never remember passwords for this site" by mistake. How can I revert back to the old settings? It's the login page of my company's webmail site and find it extremely annoying to enter a long address now everytime I need to log in (I get logged out every 15 mins).
There are no security issues, by the way. I'm the only one on my computer and always locked the screen when aaway.
    thanks.

    Hi Jose
Go to your Utilities folder and open Keychain Access. Enter the site in the search panel, then delete the relevant ones. Quit Keychains. Back to Safari. Open the site, then answer the password prompt.

  • For remembering passwords I once clicked "never for this site" on a site, and have changed my mind and I want Firefox to remember the password for this site. How do I go in and reset the settings to change this?

My Firefox is set up to delete cache, and all history upon closing. But when I restarted my Firefox, or manually deleted everything, nothing worked. Is there a way to reset these? Or do I have to completely uninstall and reinstall Firefox? Even that might not work though.

Try creating a new Profile. See [[Profiles]].
You can recover existing passwords, bookmarks etc., from the current Profile and move them to the new one. See: [[Managing Profiles]]

  • FF4 keep asking me to "save password" even if i already pick the "never for this site" option... any solutions?

    just that

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

  • I have entered website then while logging in i have selected "never for this site" & now i want it to remember username & password...so tell me the way to proceed ?

    SHRENIK BHANDARI,

You can try to use "Forget About This Site" in the History (right-click context menu in Library or sidebar) to remove all data from a website including possible exceptions.

  • How can I save passwords for URL's

How can I save passwords for URL's? I just installed 10.6.7 Snow Leopard. I also had to format my HD drive and reinstall my software.

    Hi,
From the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Autofill tab. Select the box next to:
    User names and passwords.
Navigate to a site you normally log into with the user name and password. Click Yes when prompted. That will save that information to a new keychain for you.
Passwords are actually stored in your Keychain Access application. (Applications/Utilities)

  • How do I save passwords for my apps

How can I save passwords for apps

You either write them down somewhere or you check the "remember me" (or something similar) button while in the app.  There is no universal way to save them.  It's up to the writer of the app whether or not to save credentials.

  • When initially entering a website password FF ASKS "SAVE PW FOR THIS SITE?" I have now CHANGED the website PW, and cannot get FF to "forget" the old PW and then save the new one!

I changed my GMail password the other day. I now have to type it in every time I access my mail as I cannot get Firefox (v.3.6.3) to ask me "Remember PW for this site?" (as it always AUTOMATICALLY does when FIRST entering a website password). Why does FF not automatically offer the "Save PW?" option AGAIN when one CHANGES the access PW of a site previously visited? Can one "force" a password to be remembered?

If the name stays the same and you only need to change (update) the stored password then fill the name in the login form and let Firefox fill the wrong password.
You may have to press the Tab key to fill the password field.
If you replace the wrong password with the new password then Firefox should offer to store the new password.
Use the ''Remember Password'' bookmarklet on websites that use "autocomplete=off" to prevent Firefox from saving passwords.
You can verify that Firefox has stored the new password: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
If that didn't work then remove that name and password and Firefox should offer to save the new password on the next visit or if you refresh the login page.

  • How can I save passwords in the iPad?

    Hi,
How can I save passwords on my iPad 3? I've never figured this out.
    Any help would be appreciated.

If you are referring to passwords other than your AppleId and Mail account, you can check the App store. there are at least a couple of keychain apps available.

  • How do I save the password for a site for which I have chosen the "never remember password for this site" option?

The first time you enter a password for a site a box pops up under the address bar that has a picture of a key and then the question: "Remember this password?". In the drop box, I chose the option "Never Remember Password for This Site". I can't figure out how to change it so that the password IS remembered.

It sounds like the printer is still trying to retain the old network information.
    Try a Hard Reset:
    * Unplug printer while unit is turned on
    * Unplug other end of power cord from the direct wall outlet
    * Wait 30 seconds
    * Plug unit back up for power
    Reset Network information to Default:
    * Press the Wrench/Setup menu button in the top right of the touch display of the printer
    * Select the Wireless menu option
    * Scroll down to Restore Network Defaults
After restoring the defaults, then try running the Wireless Setup Wizard. Let me know if the unit still does not retain the information.

How do I save the width and height of a picture for repeated use, rather than having to enter it each time in the 'new file' box?

It could be that I'm older and have forgotten. I'm now 73 and will admit I have forgotten many things over the years. I have been using Photoshop since Photoshop version 3.  And can not really recall which features or changes were made in ever version of Photoshop I have installed.  Adobe has added many features over the years. The number of bugs introduce has also greatly increased after CS3.  "New Doc Sizes.psp"  in your user id preferences is edited using the two buttons in the new document dialog.
As for guide lines in new documents Photoshop CS6 or CC seem to add some for video file presets with guide lines.  I do not know how to edit or add guide line to new doc presets. Guide line actions are easy to create. I have also seem some guideline in new documents when I did not expect any perhaps a new bug. Photoshop like most software has bugs. If you do not see Adobe new presets perhaps you copied an old  "New Doc Sizes.psp"  over Adobe's newer default file or Adobe migrared you presets and wand wiped their presets out. There are bugs. Close Photoshop down and rename your current  "New Doc Sizes.psp"  in you user id Photoshop cc preferences folder and start Photoshop it will add a dedault  "New Doc Sizes.psp"  file see if you see Adobe new presets in the new doc pull down when you select video and film...
