How do I save photos from email to the photo library?

How do I save photos from email to the photo library? I've seen an online demo of users that hold their finger or thumb over the image for a few seconds and a "save photo" window option appears. That doesn't work on my 6-month old iphone. It's version 1.1.4 (4a102) ???? Help! Anybody with an answer?

Never mind. I figured out the 2.0 update. My system wasn't updating I-tunes...and the I-phone update option window was hidden behind some other system information. I figured it out. The download, install and re-synch took about an hour. Lots of horror stories out there about people trying to activate their new I-phones. Glad this worked for me!

  • Is it possible to save pictures from email to the Photos app?

Pictures I get in email attachments on the Mail app, can I save them to the Photo app on the iPod Touch?

Well that ***! Hopefully there will be an app (or web app) that will enable us to do this.
It would be nice to be able to touch on a pic from e-mail and have the choice to use it as wallpaper. From there, to save it to your photo-library.
Anyone got any ideas on apps out there that do this already?

touch and hold the attachment in mail.  a box will open that says 'open in' and i books, along with any other apps you have that read pdf files will be offered.  select i books, or the one you want.  once it is associated with an app, it will be stored within the app.

Well assuming you have a computer (since you need itunes anyways) you should save the picture on your computer from the email and then sync that picture to your iphone in itunes. It should then be in your iphone. From there it should be in your photo library.

  • How do i Move photos from emails to my photo library

when people send me photo attachments I don't know how to get them into my iPhone photo library
    Help

Okay, according to your profile you may be using a Mac. In order to do this, you will have to get the photos onto your Mac and into iPhoto. Once it's in iPhoto, it will sync to your iPhone assuming you have the photo synchronization option checked in iTunes and either have "All" photos synchronizing or the specific photo album you put the picture in synching.

how do i move pictures from picasa in windows 7 to photo stream in icloud. thanks

I am over 16 years old so I don't use Facebook.
But this is what I found out.
Click on a photo in Facebook. Just below the photo on the left click Download, save the image to your Desktop. Now drag the image to your iPhoto library.

  • Moving Photos from IPhoto to the Picture Library

I'm a heavy IPhoto user and have over 9000 photos in it. The main reason I moved to IPhoto8 was its greater capacity. But I now find that IPhoto runs much more slowly and I constantly need to close IPhoto and start again. Before I add the thousand or so photos from our recent travels, I would like to move some of these photos out of IPhoto into my Photo Library on my Imac. Is this the best way to free up capacity? If so, how do I do it? I'd also appreciate any other hints on managing IPhoto capacity. Would adding extra RAM make a real difference? (I already have 1GB of Memory on my Imac.) Apologies if these are obvious questions.......

Essentially, I'm trying to find a way to avoid having IPhoto slow to the point of stopping while I'm working on my photos. When this happens, I close IPhoto and start again. This works fine, until the program slows and stops the next time.
The problem has only arisen since I have had between 8000-9000 photos on IPhoto8 (Initially I used the previous version and upgraded to IPhoto 8 to gain additional capacity). Most photos have been adjusted (exposure, cropping enhanced etc) and I've usually added titles and other details. I was surprised when this problem occurred, as I knew that capacity shouldn't be a problem with IPhoto8.
I have only used about half my available disk space, so that isn't the problem. This is why I thought of increasing the RAM.
Can I delete photos from IPhotos and retain them in the Picture Library? In the short term, this seems to be a possible "work around".
    Any other suggestions?

    Hi beerexpert,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPad. If you are having unusual menu or option behaviour, you may want to try restarting/resetting your device, as outlined below:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
You may also want to double-check that you have available space, as noted here:

How do you save a picture from email to the iPhoto?

Click and hold on the Save button, and a menu appears, listing each attached file’s name along with a Save As button. Select any individual file, and you’ll save just that attachment to disk. But the really nice feature is the final menu item—Add to iPhoto. That’s right; with one button click-and-hold, you can add all of a message’s attached images to iPhoto.

How can I change the default setting for downloading photos from emails I receive?  It shows the default as Photoshop Elements 4.0 and is not supported by this system.  That was my last computer!!
    Thanks,

That has nothing to do with styles nor Pages, it is a System/Printer Driver setting.
You can experiment to see if the Printer Settings stick with your document, but in the past this has not worked.

  • Cannot save photos from email (iOS 4)

    Well, that's not entirely true:
If I get an email with a photo attached, I can see the photo just fine. I can go through the Save procedure just fine. But when I go to the Photo Album to view the photo, I can't open it directly. I have to open the image previous to it, and then scroll tot he next image to see it. And when it does open, it's not the image that I saved, but rather it's the Photo Album thumbnail of the image that opens!
    Help?

Using iPhone 4 with iOS 4.2. I just noticed today that I am having the same problem. It appears to just be an issue with jpg files. I have successfully saved other formats (tif, gif, png) to my camera roll directly from email.
My friend is running iOS 4.1. His phone has the same problem. I think this started with 4.1 and was not fixed with 4.2.
I hope this is fixed with the next update (4.3?) as jpg files seem to be the most commonly used image file type.

Hi, I can't email photos from iphoto as the email server doesn't recognise my password / username combination... any ideas how / where i fix this?

Go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete the email account there.  Then add it back again.
If that fails you can set Mail at the email client for iPhoto in iPhoto's General preference pane. Mail is more reliable, gives you a sent copy and has better access to your contacts. It also has photo templates if you need them.  They are in the stationary selection menu.
