How do I save pictures when installing Elements 11

I have Elements 7 installed on my PC with thousands of pictures. I have purchased Elements 11. Do I need to do anything to preserve my picture fies before installing Elements 11?

Pictures are external file references unaffected by installs and uninstalls. At best, you need to worry about migrating collections/ catalogs. Anyway, backing up critical files to an external disk or a cloud storage service is always a good idea....

It has been installed bedore and then it suddenly did not work anymore. That's why tried to install it again, but unfortunatly did not work

Did you try to install before without removing anything that did get installed from your applications folder before trying again? You don't have the installer files in the applications folder, do you?

HELP - how do you save pictures through the recovery mode?

How do you save pictures through the recovery mode. I have the black screen with cursor and despite trying all the tips noted here nothing seems to fix the issue. These have included using Utility disk to re-install OS-X, repairing the disks. Also tried the holding shift on start up and entering username and password. Also tried internet recovery and then repair and re-install. Nothing works!
Happy to restore from a back up, but I have been rubbish and not backed up for a long time. Also happy to delete and re-install completely but don't want to loose pics.
Please let me know any suggestions!!

I'm running Win 7 Ultimate, I've tried both download methods, restated at least 3 times, ran as administrator. I still get the same error. Any ideas??

Thanks. I've seen (and understand) the "save image as" option but that option does not appear for all images. When I then open the same page in IE, it does offer the "save picture as" option, and to my knowledge has never not offered that option. Drag the folder to the flashdrive.
You might not want to reformat the drive as then it won’t work with many other devices.

When you upgrade attached to iTunes a backup copy is made...then after the upgrade the backup is used to restore all the content to your iDevice, assuming you are actually talking about upgrading from iOS 4 to iOS 5.

But I use this piece of the code....and only the pdf file is opened directly.
Other types such as .doc or .ppt, the system still pops out the "SAVE" window though. How to deal with other types and let them open directly??
