How do I save the "Slide Show" functions when off line ?

I'm working on an interative porfolio (to use off line) using IWeb. But once saved in a folder on my computer, the Slide Show functions (black background, reflection effects, sliding thumbnails, etc.) are not existing (?)
By the way, can anybody tell me about a good (and simple to use !) shareware for editing iteractive slideshows ?

when you publish to .Mac.
It is possible to enhance the slideshow you get when
you publish to a folder, but you need the help of

Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

I'm not sure how it works on your iPad, but once the email has been downloaded onto my iPad, I can read them even in Airplane mode with WiFi disabled. I don't see the images that are in the emails, but I can read the messages. I have one POP account and three IMAP accounts and it works for all four accounts.

How can I save a previously published web page off-line instead of deleting

I have some web pages with photos I do not want to post anymore on my iWeb site. However, I do not want to "delete" the pages because I spent so much time putting them together. Is there a way to save them off-line somewhere for access later on? I am a Scoutmaster and post photo pages of our hikes and adventures. I prefer to save my "masterpiece" pages somewhere for future reference instead of deleting them, which is the only option, to make room for more pages.

How do I save the picture I took when I set up my computer profile?

I took a picture of myself when I set up my computer (MacBook Pro) that comes up everytime I turn on my computer (and I have to enter my password too). This same picture also comes up as my picture on Skype (even though it is only visible to me; other people on Skype get a generic picture of me). I really like this picture and I want to save it so I can email it or print it, but I can't figure out how to do it. I have gone to System Preferences, then to Users and Groups where the picture comes up for the current user (me), but I can't figure out how to save it. I have tried copy and paste and dragging it but no luck so far. "Save as" doesn't come up. Any suggestions??? I would love to save this picture and use it for other things. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

What version of Photoshop are you using?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by saving your images to your computer files. If you mean that you want a copy somewhere with all of the adjustments then you need to export a copy of the image. If you mean something else, please explain.

Rather than burn directly to disk follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

BridgeCS3 -How to save a Slide Show?

Is there any way to save a slide show made in Bridge CS3. I need to use Bridge's Revolving Door transition. I cannot find a similar transition in any other software that supports slideshows. Perhaps someone knows of a script or an action that simulates the Revolving Door transition. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

I can't figure out how to save one either. One person said it could be exported to a pdf file, but if he knows how to do that, he should tell someone. There is certainly no menu option for it.

I edit the presentation depending on the audience to which I am presenting.

If you add a new slide with just a text box (therefore a very small amount of data), to an existing presentation then save, Keynote will only save the new content to the file, it wont save pre-existing content as its already included in the file.
The time taken to "save" will be very much shorter than a "save as" when all of the existing content is saved again.

How do I move Elements 8 projects (slide shows) from a Windows XP computer to new Windows 7 computer that also has Elements 8 on it so that the slides shows will work (Elements 8 works well on the Windows 7 computer & I have done several new slide show projects on it)? I tried backup & restore without success. I have also found the .psess files and copied them to the catalog in the new computer but when the sides shows are opened none of the images or music is there. Only the text that I entered shows. I have even tried to replicate the file paths from the XP computer to the new computer to see if that will help.

UPDATE: By a stroke of luck I happened to find a catalog link (a PSE8D file) in the 'My Catalog' file where the imported data was stored. When I clicked on it to investigate what is was 'magically' all of my transferred projects appeared in Organizer. Upon further investigation I found that the projects transferred from my XP computer were stored in a hidden catalog that had to be accessed through the Custom Location option in Catalog Manager (accessed by clicking File then Catalog then Custom Location). No Windows or Elements search revealed this fact. I am appreciative that I just got lucky. The Adode/Photoshop company was absolutely of no help. If fact to me their structure is designed to avoid contact with their customers unless you're buying a new product. Their products have many good features (even though user unfriendly) and it's a shame they don't value their customers more once the sale is completed.
Bottom line: All of the projects (sideshows) have been recovered and work in my new Windows 7 computer. I hope my experience helps others.

How to change the order of photos in iPhoto on my iPad, so I can create the slide show I want.

Here's what I did to generate a slide show with Ken Burns effect on the iPad...with the exact same slide order I created on the iMac. I have iOS 5.5 and iPhoto App on New iPad, and iPhoto 11 on iMac.
In iPhoto for the Mac, create a new Album and give it the name of your Slide Show. Drag or import the photos you want into the album. Rearrange the order of the album photos as desired. Do this by selecting Manual Sort under View/Sort Photos or simply start dragging thumbnails to the places you want them (the sort method will automatically change to Manual).
When you have the order you want, shut down iPhoto on the Mac to make sure iPhoto's database gets updated with the new photos and their order.
Restart iPhoto and go to File/Export on the top menu. Select File Export at the top left of the Export window. Set JPEG quality to Max, Size to Full Size, and File Name to Album Name and Number. Set Subfolder Format to None.
Click Export to bring up what looks like the Finder. Create an empty folder on your hard drive under Pictures and give it the name of your slide show. Click on the new folder and then click OK at the bottom right of the Finder-like window. The new folder will contain JPEG files with file names in the form, Album Name - 001.jpeg, Album Name - 002.jpeg, etc. There will also be an iPOD Photo Cache folder. Click at the top of the Name column to order files by file name. 001 will be your first slide, 002 your second, etc.
Now start up iTunes. You are going to force the Mac to sync these new photos with the iPad. Click on your iPad device in the list at the left. Now click on the Photo button at top right. Make sure the Sync Photos check box at top is checked, then select Choose Folder... from the list at right. In the Finder-like window that opens, select the folder where your slides are. Make sure that All Folders is checked, then select Open at the bottom right.
Now click Sync at bottom right. The slides will be copied to your iPad. Both the Photos app and the iPhoto app will properly handle the slide order, and the Ken Burns effect is available using the iPhoto app.
I ran across this problem in preparing a Ken Burns slide show for a wedding. Drove me nuts for a week why the order changes when syncing an iPhoto album from iMac to iPad. But this worked and gave me several options. I plan to use the digital AV adapter for iPad and show slides on a large screen TV using HDMI connection from iPad to TV. TV essentially acts as an external monitor for the iPad.

In the slide show timeline, how do I select a photo to crop? Sometimes it lets me do it and sometimes I can't select the photo to do it. I'm not sure why the difference.

It's version 3.4.2, the latest. I can double click it, but then I'm out of the slideshow timeline and it's a hassle to quickly go back. I have to click on another place in my library and then go back to the slideshow and find my place in the timeline where I was. Many clicks. I just want to edit (enlarge and move the photo) in the timeline. Sometimes it works, but sometimes I can't get it to. Not sure if there's a "sweet" spot to click on for the photo in the timeline or what that I'm missing at times.
