How do I save work in progress on my iPad?

The answer to this is probably really obvious but I am worried that I will lose work in progress, simply because I do not know where to store it on my iPad. This morning I lost about 20 minutes of work, rather randomly (what I mean is that the app suddenly closed and my artwork reverted back to an earlier stage when I opened it up again). I do not want to publish it at this stage, I want to do is either save/store it as work in progress.
Any tips?

In Adobe Draw, drawings are organized into projects. Currently, you can duplicate individual drawings but you cannot duplicate entire projects.
To duplicate a drawing in Adobe Draw, do the following steps:
1. In the "organizer" view, tap the edit project button in the project header (top-right button, looks like a pencil on top of a blank square).
2. Select the drawing (or drawings) you want to duplicate by tapping on them.
3. Tap the duplicate button in the project header (looks like two squares with a '+' on the top square).
4. Tap the check mark in the project header to exit edit project "mode." (Or tap anywhere outside the project area.)
Hope that helps,
Frank

Using pages; How do you save work in  a template without changing template?

When you open a template it is a copy of the template you get. You can write, add, delete or change what ever you like. It will not change anything in the template. When you save you have a document, not the template.

  • How do I save and find files on the ipad?

How do I save and find files on the iPad?

Files/documents need to be stored/associated within an app on the iPad, unlike 'normal' computers there is no file system which allows you to save files with no means of being able to read/use them. So if you want to store a file on the iPad you first need an app on the iPad that supports that file type.
How you then get the file onto the iPad and into the app will depend on what the app is and what transfer method(s) it supports. e.g. some apps use the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to your computer's iTunes, some apps support the transfer of files via your wifi network, the iBooks app uses the Books section of your iTunes (and the device's Books tab) to sync content, and other transfer methods include email attachments, Dropbox etc. The file is then found by going into your chosen app and opening/using the file.

  • How to transfer Game Center games progress from old iPad to new iPad ?

How do I transfer game progress to new iPad 2 from old iPad1, especially from Game Center? I got a new iPad 2 for Christmas, and have many games with a lot of time and not to mention money invested in them. How can I get my game levels back to the way theyare in ipad1. ??! Help!

If you use the same iTunes account then your scores will be carried over from Gamecenter, but not necessarily your progress. If you want the games to keep your progress, back up your original iPad and then, for your new iPad, "restore" it with the backup of your original. Your game progress should follow the backup, but no guarantees that it will for every app.

  • How do I save emails in folders on my iPad

How do I create folders to save emails and attachments in my iPad 2.  What I use briefcases and folders for on my pc.

If you are on iOS 5 on the iPad and it's an IMAP type account then you should get an Edit button at the top of the list of folders that you currently have on your email account. If you are on iOS 4 or if it's a POP type account then you won't get the Edit button.
Attachments can't be saved separately in the Mail app, then need to be still attached to the email. If you have an app on the iPad that supports the type of attachment then you might be able to use the iPad's 'open in' function (press and hold the attachment) to copy the attachment to that app.

  • How do you save an in-progress project to move to another Mac?

Hi...I am working on a movie but need to transfer it to another Mac to finish it up. I am using IMovie 3. Can someone please please help me do this?

welcome daraely to the  boards...
the iM project itself, the folder with a star on, contains all data of your project; transfer that folder to other Mac, done.
iM projects are huge, every 1h import counts 13GB.. probably, an ext. harddrive is simplest solution... or, if both Macs are in same location, connect both Macs with a simple ethernet cable and create for this purpose a LAN; ...

  • How does "Find iPhone" work for a wifi-only iPad?

My wife's iPad is in out home on a satellite internet connection, in the country, connected to our router which assigns it an internal IP address. Yet when I log into Find iPhone from my iPhone, it shows up right inside the house most of the time, within 200' or so other times. Now the "circle of uncertainty" is larger then my wife's iPhone, it's still pretty accurate given the way it's connected. This baffles me.
    Thanks,

It does – the OP is using multiple iOS devices, the iPhones have GPS which is used to submit data to Apple via the diagnostics & usage. It may also come from other iOS users who have the same feature enabled.

I suspect the reason that your cellular iPad is getting accurate locations is because your modem is broadcasting a wifi access point. IP's are a poor indicator of location, despite what CSI tells you
That access point will be added to Apples database. Your iPhone has a setting that will help with this… 'Settings > General > Usage > Diagnostics & usage', if Automatically send is enabled then you are reporting anonymous data to Apple, including the location of the networks you use, the same network that is in range for the iPad. Apple is using iOS to crowd source the data.
Not true at all.  A cellular iPad also has a GPS receiver and it obtains location information from GPS.  GPS signals are separate from and completely unrelated to both the Internet and the cellular telephone network.  GPS signals come directly from the GPS satellites.  They provide signals that allow GPS receivers to calculate latitude and longitude information.  Software inside the device translates latitude/longitude into landmark information, such as street addresses.
I was referring to the GPS on the iPhone.
I know how GPS works thanks, I can see 4 satellites in this hemisphere, the others are out of view
I was also assuming this was a wifi iPad (no cellular, no GPS) - hence the reason for the original poster surprise. However I may have simply read 'wife's iPad' as 'wifi iPad'?

  • How do you save an editable PDF on the iPad app?

The entries appear to be saved on my iPad, but the document is blank when I email it.

I'm assuming this is a form. Is that correct? Do you know if the form was created with Acrobat (acroform) or LiveCycle Designer (XFA)? XFA forms are not supported by the mobile version of Adobe Reader. They may appear to work when filling, however.

  • How do I save a numbers spreadsheet on my iPad as a template?

I have created a Spreadsheet on my iPad for staff to record time and materials on site an I would like to save it as a template so they can open a new copy of it each time and not change the original spreadsheet. Also I would like to be able to lock the cells on the spreadsheet so they can only enter data via the forms I have created. Can this be done in numbers on the iPad? Many thanks.

  • How can I save a pdf file on my ipad so I can view it later

I want to be able to view a pdf file on my ipad when I do not have access to internet but I can't seem to save it on my ipad

You need an app into which it can be saved. Download iBooks or Adobe Reader which are both free in the App Store, then you can save the PDF files into one of those apps. I prefer Adobe Reader because you can annotate, highlight, rename create folders, add your signature and do some other things that you cannot do with iBooks.
After you download one of those apps, tap the PDF file in order to open it, than tap on the screen somewhere in order to make the sayer icon appear in the upper right corner. Tap the share icon and then select Open In iBooks or Adobe Reader from the resulting pop up window. That will save the file to the app.
