How do I say thank you?

I just had a wonderful experience with Apple Customer Service (Brandon).  I set up an appointment online for CS to call me.  They called right on time.  I explained my problem and we jumped right into fixing.  Although he took control of the computer, I moved the mouse & opened/deleted files.  I was able to see what had to be done.  And he taught me how to avoid it in the future.  Thank you Brandon, for your clear & concise explanations and the where & why it happened.

Call his Supervisor and put in a good word for him. Apple do not monitor these Forums. Glad you had a positive experience with your Apple Store.

    My son died Sunday. In the middle of incredible grief, I needed to make a video of stills of his life. I had never touched iMovie (or iDVD) before. I was able to stumble through every thing I needed to do and get it done against a very tight deadline.
    I wanted them to KNOW that the decisions that they made in all the hundreds of meetings and planning that made this program able to be used by someone that could barely see the screen through tears MATTERS.
    It won't make Hollywood, but it comforted my son's friends and family when we needed to see him. Do you EVER think what you do does not matter.

    I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

    If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

    It has downloaded into your download folder. Find it in your downloads and click on it to install itunes.

    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

  • After a notice of update, I was unable to use iTunes. It said I had a missing dll file and a Windows error 7. I removed iTunes and tried to reinstall. I selected the download items off the apple site. It says thank you but still not there.

    Having problems downloading iTunes. After an update notice, I was unable to open iTunes. I de-installed and attempted to reinstall it and it still won't open.
    The first error duirn the update was a dll file missing, then a Windows error 7. The screen on the Apple site say  Thank you for downloading, but still not there.

    A msi file is short for microsoft installer.  It normally is for installation, removal, and maintenance for a program. So iTunes.msi would be used for the updating of the program.  For some reason it isnt finding this so we can't update, install, or remove it.
    From what I have seen windows installer cleanup utility solved related problems before. 
    I found this forum about removing and installing a new iTunes.  It was about someone who was trying to isntall iTunes, and was looking for msi file and asked for help.   Using this should allow you to be able to install iTunes.  It won't give you the msi file but will allow you to isntall iTunes over again.
    This was what was said.
    Another option in case you can't get an msi. (Or even if you can ... the msi's mentioned in the messages may be damaged rather than missing.)
    Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
    Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
    After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
    If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
    Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
    Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

    1. Close all the Adobe Applications. Log-out from creative.adobe.com and re-login.
    2. Once you launch the software and when you get the error saying the the trial version has expired, you will have an option saying "License this software".
    3. Select this option and enter your credentials and click next.

    That's a good precaution, norm.  It should be no problem is you have an object on a flat surface next to a ruler. It gets trickier in security camera frames.
    Anyway that is one example. Anne can look further into the measuring tools of  Photoshop Extended to see if it helps.
    A note on the screen resolution thing. When I calculate the screen resolution, I go into Photoshop > Preferences > Units and Rulers
    and enter it here in place of the default 72 ppi.  Then when I use View > Print Size, the on-screen rulers will match a physical ruler.
    That's if you wanted to look at the actual printed document size onscreen.

    You can use all of them but they can be activated twice only for e.g. if you install the photography plan on two computer as soon as you try to activate the illustrator CC , it will ask you to deactivate.
    You should contact Adobe Support & get two of the order cancelled, since it is duplicate subscription so the renewals charges will be refunded back. You need to buy them under different Adobe ID to use them.
