How do I seard for 1980's music Videos?

Hi all!
Just wondering if anyone could help me please.
Id like to know how to search for any 1980's music videos.
Thanks heaps!

Thanks for that, but was hoping to be able to view a list of what iTunes has in 80s music vids rather than just searh for on song/artist at a time.

I downloaded the updated Firefox, but the ad-on for converting YouTube music videos to mps files is now unavailable. How do I get it back? Why was this feature disabled?
In the former Firefox version there was a box to click for converting YouTube music videos into HQ mp3 files. That box is no longer apparent in the new Firefox version. I went back to Ad-On s and re-downloaded the program YouTube to MP3 1.2. It says it's not compatible with Firefox 6.0. Can I reinstall the older version of Firefox?

When I clicked on the second site mentioned, I got such EXPLICIT, step-by-step directions!!! Thank you so much. I'd been wondering what that window was that kept popping up with the Firefox icon and that other funny thing. The word *install* was never mentioned. Pictographs were never my thing.
When I looked under the initial system requirements, it said that OS X 10.4.5 and higher were good for 5.0. I didn't check further. Under your advice, I'll go with the older version. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

    Hello, iBillyxD.
Thank you for the question.  The best way to avoid this behavior would be to delete the music video from your library.  You can always download it again free by accessing your previous purchases.  To delete and item in your iTunes library, select the item and hit delete on your keyboard.

  • Last question for the day - Music Video

    Hi,
I have been asked by a friend to do their music video for them. I understand while shooting they will be playing to the original recording but after a day of shooting and im back at my computer what is the best way to syc my clips to the master audio track? Is there a tutorial available on music video creating? I know I could sit there and bit by bit move the clip to match however I am hoping there is a tutorial on it some place on the net.
    Thanks

    Hi
    Me just thinking
    I would
    • Make several full song recordings with my Camera (close-ups, full size etc.)
or use several Cameras (5 to 10 recordings)
Put the best Audio-uptake as a master Audio then add video clips to do the visual
part as rythmic and paced fast/slow enough to reflect the "Air" of the lyrics.
Know what I'm taking about - NO Not at all - just speculating.
(With several Cameras - all recording non-stop - this would be much easier in
FinalCut Pro and the MultiCamera function.)

  • Elegant technique for cutting a music video

    Hi,
I am editing a music video and need to make color and contrast adjustments to the clips. The video was shot in a few locations and each location requires different color correction, etc. For example, there are clips from an office under fluorescent lighting, and other clips shot in backlit sunset. The clips alternate between the different locations/lighting setups and I think that once I decide on something that works, I could apply the same adjustments to all of the other clips from each setup.
I've been thinking about the best way to apply my adjustments to each clip. I can only think to copy and paste the video effects and manually copy/paste into each clip. But I thought I would reach out and see if anyone here could advise me on a better, more elegant way to do this.
    Thank you!
    -John

Ah, great and simple tip. Thank you.
I was imagining there might be a tricky way to use an adjustment layer so that I could avoid having to copy and paste multiple adjustments to multiple clips.

  • Newer MBA or Older MBP for light - moderate music, video, and graphic editing

Essentially I would be using it for the following:
    Word Processing (ms office suite)
Video editing (primarily YT videos) via FCP X
Music editing / production via Garageband, Logic Pro, and Melodyne
Adobe Photoshop CS6 (nothing to heavy like I said willing to live without retina)
    Probably light gaming
Coding ( I don't think this should be an issue, but want the ability to write apps for iOS)
    Web surfing obviously
    Building itunes library
It seems like a bit now that I look at it, but I don't think I would have more than two of these programs running at the same time (my guess is the worst would be fcpx, garageband, and cs6 all open at the same time). I have a 500GB western digital external HD that is practically empty minus a recent backup of all my files on my current computer.
Which do you think would fit my needs more? Portability is a factor for me but I think the mba is like 1/2 a pound lighter or something which I'm not sure makes a huge difference to me since I'm currently lugging around a 15" pc that is around 7-8lbs.
So I've kind of figured that 256 gb ssd is probably going to be the most I can afford with a budget of $1190 and under ( could I get away with 128gb with my 500gb external hd?).
I know I can get the ssd and ram (at least 8GB unless 4GB would suffice) I need with a MBA but I do not know if the processor will be good enough for everything i'm planning to do. I've seen older MBP (circa 2011-2012) that has adequate ram (8-16gb) minus a ssd but regular hd with 500-700gb in some cases 1 TB. I've seen these for less than 1000 on ebay.
So which is a better choice? I don't want a system that is too old. I currently have a working cd/dvdr drive on my pc so I could live without having a cd/dvd drive in my mac or superdrive or whatever.
I'm interested in brand new or refurbished (either by apple or seller). Nothing used. An SD slot would also be nice to have but I'm unsure as to which models have them.

From what I see on Twitter and blogs, a lot of photography pros are picking up the new MacBook Airs as their road machines because with the new Core iX processors they are quite acceptable for performance. I've mostly read about them using Lightroom, though, and not as a primary machine, so you should take some of your raw photos to an Apple store and run some Aperture tests to see how it feels. Do you think there is enough room to see everything, or does it feel cramped?
The main problem with the MacBook Air is not being able to put more than 4GB RAM in it, but with the SSD you might not notice the lag as much. For most people the Air is a fantastic computer. I use the 15" MacBook Pro, because I use other graphics apps where I need room to display documents, filmstrips, palettes, etc. so I need mor pixels, and also because I need to be able to have more RAM.
I would guess that GarageBand wouldn't be a problem on any new Mac, assuming you're not piling on heaps of effects.

  • How do I search for movies in the videos app

We just got an iPad 2 and I can't see how to search for a movie in the videos app.
We do not have any movies on the iPad, but wIth home sharing running I can see our extensive movie library. However the only navigation is swiping up and down through a list of cover art. With 400+ movies in iTunes it can take a while to scroll down to Zombieland or Zulu... Spotlight doesn't search the home sharing stuff.
I don't even see movie names in text under the cover art, or the normal quick scroll letter down e side of the page like you see in other iOS apps. It just seems very un-Apple and un-iOS.
I feel like I am missing something, some setting to make the movies interface more user friendly.
I'd appreciate any help or advice here
    - Rick

I don't see any way either, but it is a Version 1.0 of Home Sharing.

  • How big a drive for 3 hours of video encoded with animation codec?

Sorry if this seems a strange question - but I've run out of fingers and toes to count on.
I'm planning a video project that will have approx three hours of selected video to work with. Will be cut down to approx 90 minutes.
The video will be include a lot of chroma keying and also be graphic heavy. Many alpha channels.
I have determined the best work method is to upload the video using the Apple Animation codec. I am reliably informed that said Animation codec is a hungry bugger and eats up drive space.
Can anyone with more toes and fingers than me give me a ballpark for how big an external drive I should budget for this?
So to recap that's a a minimum of three hours of video encoded using the Apple Animation codec plus all the graphics, audio and rendering.
    Many thanks.
    A.S

The Animation codec isn't an editing codec. You'll have a DICKENS of a time trying to work with that.  Besides needing VERY fast drives...I'm talking a 4-5 drive RAID with 300+MB/s throughput (Firewire won't cut it...eSATA would be pushing it..thunderbolt? Pushing it)...it'd still stutter on playback. No one edits with that codec. I mean no one. It's a good way to transport media LOSSLESSLY, but when editing...best to use an Editing Codec.  As Michael said, ProRes 4444 would be good...even ProRes HQ is good enough quality. I deliver shows to air in that codec.

  • How do I retrieve all of my music, videos, apps, and pictures that were lost after I updated to the new iOs 5 thing

tech support sent me here and I need to figure this out

Some of those are part of the backup, for example photos, app data and settings and much more:
    iTunes: About iOS backups
If you still have the backup from the time before you updated, use it to restore from.
Download the apps again for free before you start, apps are not part of the backup data made by iTunes.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Those apps should also be part of your iTunes library on the computer you usually sync to.

It sounds like you want manually manage the music videos on your devices. I would recommend taking a look at the article below for information on how to do this.

  • Compose Audio Tracks for Full/Minus Vocal Music Video DVD

    Hi everyone.
I've recorded, mixed my song in Sonar, mastered the stereo audio file in Wavelab, edit video in Premiere CS4 for a dvd music video project. Anyone can help me how to compose the audio tracks so that finally listener can choose for full song or minus the main vocal with their remote controller.
Heard people telling about vocal on the right channel and music on left channel which will make the original stereo music mono. i'm trying to avoid this. any other way of doing that?...2 tracks together in a song, 1 full 1 without vocal? How do you do this?
    Thanks, all the best everyone.
    Mal

    Mal,
One can do this very easily in Encore. While it's more an Encore question, let me try to tackle it here.
DVD-Video and BD, allow for multiple Audio Streams. These are user selectable from either a Menu, or the Audio button on the remote.
What I would do would be to Export your Sequence in elemental/elementary streams, i.e. one Video-only and then, in your case, two Audio-only files. One will be the full-mix with vocals, and the other with just the instrumental. These files can be either Exported from PrPro, or from your audio-editing program. There is one warning, that I will give you later on.
Now, you have three files: Video-only (silent), and two versions of your Audio. Import the Video-only into Encore, as a Timeline. Import the two Audio-only files as Assets.
In the Project Panel in Encore, drag one of your Audio-only files to that Timeline, where it will be Audio Track 1. Drag the other to that same Timeline, where it will be Audio Track 2. Audio Track 1 will be the main Audio, so you get to choose which one you deem more important, or which you want to be the default. The other, Audio Track 2, will be the supplemental Audio.
I would use a Menu, that had Buttons for the User to choose which Audio version they wanted. One Button would be specifically linked to the Timeline with Audio Track 1 chosen, and the second to that same Timeline, but with Audio Track 2 specifically chosen (drop-down in Properties Panel for those Buttons, will let you choose this). Most remotes will allow the user to choose on the fly, with the Audio button, but I would still do this Menu. I do similar, when I have DD 5.1 SS on Audio Track 1, and the DTS encoded version on Audio Track 2.
Then, just set up your other Menus, as is required.
For more Encore-specific questions, here is the Encore Forum. Some of the same folk there, as here, but there are some different folk, who only post/read there. One, Neil Wilkes is a major music DVD/BD producer, and knows his way around music mixing and authoring.
Now, that one warning mentioned above. Both DVD-Video and BD are centered around Video. If you are Exporting from PrPro, make 100% certain that your Audio is EXACTLY the same Duration as your Video, or slightly shorter. I usually leave about 1-2 sec. of silent Audio. Even 1 Audio Unit more in the Audio file can be an issue. Exact, or slightly shorter for the Audio. This holds for Exporting from your Audio-editing program too. Just check that Duration very carefully.
Also, if you are doing DD 5.1 SS, you might want to make sure that you have 02 sec. of silence, before the first note in your Audio, to give a DVD player time to lock onto the signal. This is more likely to be needed with higher-end DVD players. I always begin my Video with 02 sec. of Black Video and end it with 02 sec. of Black Video. My Audio does not begin until the end of the first, and ends before the end of the latter.
Good luck, and hope that this helps,
    Hunt

  • Final Cut for music videos

Is Final Cut a good program for making good music videos? I wanted to make a AMV with effects somewhat like the ones found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J52FFA2_flo . I know this one is EXTREMELY technical, so i won't be able to actually pull it off even if it was possible. But can i do a video like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYd3fOpgrK4 with FC? Thanks

alright. then what kind of programs would you use to make videos such as the ones i've linked. I've made music videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDVp4coIE5M and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AM974k_-Bqc are two that i have already made. These were made using Windows Movie Maker. This http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp4nukaC6z8 was compiled using iMovie. So i have an idea of what i'm doing, and what i'm trying to do. I just want to know what kind of new capabilities will be available to me with FC. I have done research using google, youtube, and looking around these forums to find out the capabilities of FC. I appologize for misunderstanding your previous posts, but i do appritiate your help on the matter.

You can redownload iTunes pruchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
The iPod backup that iTunes makes during every sync and and as the a early step of an USB update does not contain synced media like apps and music. It has aloways been that way. If rhe synced media is not in your iTunes library when you do the restore it can't be synced to the iPod during a latter part of the update. See:
    iTunes: About iOS backups
