How do I see a file size of a photo on my iPad?

how do I find a photo file and then see its file size on my iPad?

Safari and the Mail app support PDFs - tap on them and they should open. If you want to store them on the iPad then there are a number of apps that support them and which you can sync them to or use 'open in' on Safari or Mail to copy them to e.g. free apps such as Apple's iBooks and Adobe Reader

  • How do I minimise the file size of a photo?

I am trying to find a way to miimize the file size of a photo so I can use s a avicon. Does anyone know how to do this?

Select the pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export
Two settings will impact on the File Size:
Jpeg Quality refers to the amount of compression applied to the file. Size refers to the dimensions (length by breadth) if the image.

  • How do I increase the file size of a photo?

I have an iMac with Mavericks installed and took a photo with my iPhone 5 that I would like to increase to a 2 MB JPEG file size. How do I do this?

Export with higher quality (file menu ==> export - see the use tip on exportign for details on options)
However this will not change anything about the photo except the amound of disk sopace it uses - the photo is stil exactly the same no matter how large you make the file by reducing compression

  • How do I reduce the file size of a photo

I need to reduce the size of a photo from 1.7MB to 50 KB how do I do this.

    Hi,
I'm having the same problem, but the file will not reduce below 60KB.
I'm trying to upload these on to a web site and they won't take anything bigger than 50. I've tried getting them down to 1x2 but even then, they won't reduce below 60. They're just mug shots, so can't be that memory hungry? Any help greatly appreciated!

  • How can i find the file size before downloading

I am trying to decide if I want to download a tv show [Doctor Who] in standard definition or high definition.  How can I see the file size before I purchase the show from iTunes?

    1. That's only getting the file size of the Preview.
    2. Click on a photo to select it. Then click on the info button. You can get the dimensions and the file size in the top of the pane
Note that the final size of any image will depend on the export settings you choose.

How to Reduce AI Vector file size: An Adobe illustrator Tutorial
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5m3TKrXE3g
My AI file size was not going under 1 MB even by deleting extras so what I did is I opened a raster small image of 100 kb with Adobe Illustrator. then deleted the image and saved the file as AI. Then I Copied the whole vector content of original AI file that was bigger then 1 MB with ctrl+c command and pasted it in the new file created with raster image. and saved it. Wow the new file size is only 137 kb now.
    Thanks

  • How can I find the file size of an image within an iPhoto event or album?

In order to see the file size of any particular photo, I've been dragging a copy onto my desktop and using "get info." Is there a better way?
    I'm using 10.7.4 and iPhoto 11 v 9.3.2

    1. That's only getting the file size of the Preview.
    2. Click on a photo to select it. Then click on the info button. You can get the dimensions and the file size in the top of the pane
Note that the final size of any image will depend on the export settings you choose.

  • How can i find out the file size of a Keynote on an iPad please?

How can i find out the file size of a Keynote on an iPad please?

I think a rule of thumb is what you're looking for.
Full bandwidth CD audio (AIFF): about 10 MB/min
    Apple Lossless: about 5 MB/min
    MP3 @ 256k: about 2 MB/min
    MP3 @ 128k: about 1 MB/min
Of course the MP3 file size is exactly linear with bit rate.
    As for sound quality:
Apple Lossless is, as the name says, lossless.
MP3 @128k: fine for listening in the car or the kitchen etc. If you have an audiophile sound system, this will remind you why you spent all that money.
MP3 @256K: barely distinguishable from CD on very good equipment.
MP3 @320K: probably not distinguishable from CD.
I presume that since you're talking about importing classical CDs these are ones you own. Remember you can always do it again if you need higher fidelity or if better technology comes out. I import most CDs at 128k, since most of my MP3 listening is in the car, or walking, or as background. And I can always play the CD if I want to sit and listen.
The logic for purchased music is totally different -- you probably won't get to upgrade that without buying it some different way. So buying 128k MP3s (or AACs) is something you'll probably regret later. Buying 256k MP3s is a lot less problematic.

  • How do I find out the file size of my photos, and change them to the size

This will sound inane, but I cannot figure out where to find the file size of my photos in iPhoto. I need a jpeg of a certain file size and image size for my blog background, but can't figure out how to even start.

If the limited quality options do not get you the file size you need export the full size image files to a folder on your Desktop and use Resize! to batch resize the image dimensions and file size (jpeg compression level) to what you need.
With Resize! you can fine tune the pixel dimensions and file size.

Do you mean Time Machine files or ordinary files.. ??
Did you copy files to the TC? It should just open in the finder as long as the TC is available and the airport utility shows it connected.
If you want to see the contents of the TM files.. open the sparsebundle and use main Time Machine icon in the dock.

  • How to show a downloads file size in the "Save As" dialog?

    Hello,
I have been using Firefox off and on for the last year or so, and there's one thing that always gets me to stop using it, whenever I download a file I cant see the file size of it in the "Save As" dialog, Internet Explorer and Opera has this feature and it's one of the things that I really need, I have tried that extension that does this (I forget the name of it), but unfortunately it is not for Firefox 4 :(
Thanks you for your help :)

    Hi,
Visit the following link for you addon:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/show-file-size/
This addon is incompatible for Firefox 4.0 RC. but you can add another addon in firefox to make it work: Addon Compatibility reporter. 1st install this addon and then install your " Show file size addon" it should work then.
    Addon compatibility reporter addon link:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/
    Hope this resolves your issue:

How can I increase the file size limit for outgoing mail. I need to send a file that is 50MB?

You can't change it, and I suspect few email providers would allow a file that big.  Consider uploading it to a service like Dropbox, then email the link allowing the recipient to download it.
