Thanks for the question. You can actually configure this behavior from Mail preferences:
1. Choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
2. Click Composing.
3. Deselect the checkbox for "When sending to a group, show all member addresses".
When you send an email to the group, only the groups name will be seen.

Open a new message, click on the Address Book button (the silhouette of a person), choose All Contacts on the left hand side of the Address Book, select the first name, Hold down cmd and at the same time press a. All persons will be highlighted. Now click on the "To" button and all the persons will appear in the To window of your message.

You can have a different receiving email in the Messages app on each device : Settings > Messages > Receive At . I'm not sure that there is a different way to have the message only go to one device.

Most effective way would be send a message to initiate a table reload from J2EE app, but I don't know how to do this.

The option to send as SMS only is subordinate to iMessage in iOS 8 settings and CANNOT be turned off to send only SMS texts to another iOS device! This is a serious privacy issue for all households using iOS and doing family sharing, including over a number of iOS devices, under one member's Apple ID. Why should business conversations or financial conversations between parents be readable on an iPad in the hands of a teenager or a seven year old? The answer is not as simple as "Just don't enable iMessage on your other devices," because amy family that shares the Apple ID password is vulnerable to teenagers particularly hacking into iMessage to monitor, for example, what their parents are saying. If I were Samsung or Google I would hammer this issue immediately and continually until it is fixed by Apple (and I'm not sure why they haven't yet). iMessage is a convenience but it has this serious limitation given the architecture of the Apple universe. Apple simply cannot force all its users to conduct text messaging in arbitrarily limited way, any more than it was able to force all its users to switch from Google Maps. When will Apple fix this?

Thost methods would most likely be appreciated by most recipients since it is not very safe to expost everyone's email address to others, some of whom may be strangers and should not have access to others' email addfress.

First of all, you need you have at least iOS 5 installed. Second, the person you are texting must have an iDevice with iOS 5 or higher installed. You can´t send messages to an non-iDevice. You´ll also need an Wi-Fi network to send iMessages. Hope it helped!

It was easy on my sony ericssonn....do i need to download an app?

There is no group send option like you are looking for.
To send to a group you have to pick each person you want to send to and send as a group that way. Then don't delete that SMS thread and you can reuse it again later.
As for an app, well SMS works via your carrier and the OS, not something an App can do unless the app send the data to them (a third party) and then they relay it to the carrier. Do you really want to be sending your SMS to some 3rd party first?

In unix, it's possible for an administrator to send a message to all Unix sessions..
So, do you think it would be possible to do a similar functionality on a Forms application?.... so that an admin user could send a message to any user connected to the same form application...

That functionality is part of the operating system in Unix. I don't think Forms provides for anything like that, unless you set up a timer in each form and check a database value every minute or so. The network might provided for something like that but you would have to check with the network guru's about that.
