How do I send an attachment with Entourage 2008?

I sent out some jpegs to various people, all the Mac folks opened them just fine but a couple of the PC folks said that they couldn't open them at all. In the Preference > Compose > Encode For, "Any Computer (Apple Double)" is selected, should it be "Windows MIME/Base 64"? is there something else that I'm missing that is keeping the PC people from seeing them?
Would it be better to insert the pictures as an HTML, i.e., not as attachments?
Advice/Comments appreciated.

i'm new into java programming and at the moment i 'm making an email programme.
i explain how it works:
i've got an asp application and when everything is filled in (the user can schedule its email to whenever he wants it to be send), it writes everything to the database.
there is a programm (Java code) installed on the exchange server that controls if there are messages to be send.
if there is, it gets everything out of the database to send the message.
i don't have any idea how to send an attachment with the email..... hope somebody can help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this for your e-mail? What program are you using to obtain your e-mail if this is the case? Are you using something such as Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, or are you using your Web Browser?

Sometimes you need to look at it from the perspective of a recepient. Save the message before sending and close it. It will be in your Drafts Folder. Click once on it in the Drafts list so you can view is as the recepient would. (Don't open for edit) The links should be active.

You can use any folder on the CF server or any system to
which it has
access. By default the CF service runs as a localsystem user,
so would
generally only have access to the local server file system.
This is
determined in the Services panel on window systems, I'm not
sure how it
works for other OS's.
If you are talking about the "Browse" button that is
displayed in the
web page for the <input type="file" ..> that does not
browse the server,
it browses the local user's system. You do not and can not
influence
this in any way. When a user selects a file from their system
and
submits the form, the file is uploaded to the webserver
through the HTTP
response header or URL query string, depending on whether the
form is a
post or get form.
You then use the <cffile action="upload" ...> tag on
the form's action
page to get the file from the web server and write it to a
location you
define the "file" parameter of the flag. This file system
access is
done under the permissions of the ColdFusion server, again
'LocalSystem'
by default.
You can then use this newly saved file in you <cfmailparam
...> tag to
attach it to an email. After this if you like you can use a
<cffile
action="delete" ...> to remove the file.

The add annotations field shows as not allowed in the security options. So how do I send this form back with the changes??

I think you you need to click 'save' first, then it is saved to acrobat, where it will prompt to send.

Use BCC. That's blind carbon copy. And copy paste the address into the BCC field. It really depends what e-mail program you use how to enable BCC.

Hi file hunter,
If you have PDF document attached with your email and you are using windows.
First try right click on any PDF document and choose option Openwith --> Choose default Program.. browse for Reader/ Acrobat. That should help.
Or click the attachment and once you try open it that should ask you to choose application open with if you haven't opened PDF document before.
