I receive video & pics from my friend's attphone (they don't have an iphone) - through my gmail on my iphone.
I want to respond with a video, but don't know how.
How do I send (from my gmail on my iphone) a video attachment to my friend?
I can send them text & pics, no problem - but I'd like to send video clips that I have on my iphone as well.
I can send video clips from the same gmail account on my computer. How do I do it on my iphone? Is the imap/smtp thing set up wrong? I have outgoing imap and incoming smtp. Is that wrong?

oh, thanks - that's really sad.
You'd think they'd have the technology to make that possible.
I wonder why they don't allow us to work with video.

Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the receiving device. Be aware that RIM only supports BT file transfer between BBs...with other devices is technically unsupported. But, it usually works, as long as the two devices are paired, trusted to each other, and each have all of the correct BT services enabled for the configuration of the other device.

HT1694 How can I send videos via email (hotmail) that are 55 seconds or more?

Hotmail is supposed to have a 10MB limit and my videos are only coming to 5MB. But I can send a video that is 54 seconds long, but 55 seconds won't send. I also tried sending it through a gmail account and it wouldn't work either. Any advice? I'm using a iphone4. Thank you!

When sending an email the largest size of any file or collection of files is 20MB. A 720p HD video recording from your iPhone 4 for 55 seconds probably hits about 20MB (or just under). There isn't a way to increase the email sizing limit, however there are other alternatives such as Microsoft SkyDrive (Free), DropBox (free) and Google Drive (free) which will let you upload and share your files (like you would with email, only slightly different).
If you have a Hotmail/MSN account, you already have SkyDrive and it's easy to setup and use. Just visit: https://skydrive.live.com and sign in using your Hotmail/MSN account.
If you have Gmail (or blogger, or other Google service including YouTube) you can enable and start using Google Drive easily also, just visit: https://drive.google.com/start
If have neither a Google or Microsoft acount, and have no interest in creating an account with either of them, try DropBox. Found here: https://www.dropbox.com

Hi I've downloaded my videos from my iphone 5 to my PC which runs Windows Vista, but I cannot work out how to play the videos (.mov files)
I've tried the latest Quicktime player (7.7.6) and also Quicktime 7.6 and the audio plays fine but the video is slow and jumpy. The video plays fine on my iphone.
I've tried iTunes on my pc but I have the same problem.
The problem is even worse with VLC media player in that the image is distorted and pixelated, but again the audio is fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

You need to import the videos to iTunes and synch via iTunes

So, I'm using Messages in Mountain Lion. I reach out to my friend using an iPhone 4. We exchnage messages without an issue, as advertised. I take a screen shot, it saves to my desktop. I drag and drop to the Messages text entry line, the green, add item icon (green circle with a +) appears, and item is in entry line. I press enter, its appears sent. I ask my friend, if they recieved they said no. I send myself the same image to my iphone. I dont get it. I change the file from a .png to a .jpg, nothing. I can facetime to myself or my friend. Yet and still cant send the image from the Messages app to an ios device. Any ideas?

How do I delete videos and pictures from the iphone folder called "phone"?

If I go to albums in the pictures app I have a folder called "phone". I want to clear up some space and delete pictures and videos from there, but there is no option "delete". These pictures are not in the icloud, but seem to be stored on the phone itself. I tried to access this folder through itunes and iphoto, but still n possibility to delete them. is there any way to delete those without flattening the whole thing?

It's a rare computer user who can't open a PDF. I wonder what the problem is with your friend's system, or if you weren't really sending a PDF. Did you try to open the PDF document yourself?
