How do I separate a new calendar app from the one that came with ipad, so entries only are made in new app?
How do I separate the iPad's own generic calendar app from a calendar app I purchased, so that the entries I put into the new app don't cross over to the generic app? Also, whenever changing over to a new calendar app, is it always possible to transfer all data from the old to the new or is there a limit on quantity or time frame ever? Does it depend on the app?

Hi,
I have an iphone 4 and all of a sudden none of the apps will work, except the ones that came with the phone. When I open them the screen goes black then it goes back to the homescreen.
Also when I plug the phone into itunes it only gives me the option to either restore or eject the phone. Up until today I never had any problems, I sync it regularly and all the software (inc itunes) is up to date. The last time I backed it up was about a month ago when I got the phone, (a replacement as my other iphone4 had loads of problems) so I don't want to have to restore it and lose everything off it!

Dear user, can i format and install a fresh copy of Mac OS 10.6.4, with another MacBook CD, because i lost the one that came with mine, thanks.
As you need to be on 10.6 to be able access the App Store to download Lion, either get replacement discs via Applecare (you'll need the MBP's serial number to get the right ones) or get the SL retail disc. I would recommend the Original disc replacement set (assuming they were 10.6) as they carry not onlyApple Hardware Test for your model, but the iLife apps other bundled sftware that isn't on the retail disc.
Once you've installed, and used Software Update to get to 10.6.8, you can then get Lion if you're feeling masochistic. -

It just hit me the other day (when my New Mac was on its way) that it would ship with Yosemite and of course ONLY the newest versions of iWorks. This machine is for a person in our business office and she should not have a different version of Pages and Numbers than everyone else in the company. (we upgrade those apps all together so exchanged files can be opened by everyone). I understand the Migration Assistant will only keep the newer versions when Applications is selected in the process and the App Store will not let me get the older version. This machine must have the older (Mavericks) versions of those applications so I'm considering partitioning and installing Mavericks even though it would bork my support. Is there any other way to install those versions on Yosemite? Thanks!
Thanks for the response. I understand and we Don't have volume licenses. All the apps we download are from our single school admin account. Would it still be piracy if I copied them from her old machine to her new one (both being company machines)

I purchased an iPhone 6, new, from a brick and mortar Apple Store. However, when I powered it on and before I used it at all, I found that Safari already had entries in its "Reading List." Additionally, it already had a browser history, mostly to Chinese websites. I also found a single contact in the Contacts app under a Chinese name, with a phone number that has a local area code. Did Apple sell me a used iPhone as new? And are there any security concerns with using this phone? Thanks guys.

I lost the CD that came with my ipod and can't connect to new computer
When I put my shuffle in the USB port it says there is an unknown host in the port that windows does not recognized (it says it has "malfunctioned"). I don't have the CD that came with my ipod to reconnect it to this computer. A guy from another forum told me all I needed was itunes but I have itunes. Why are old apps from different user account still on iPad 2 when I changed to a new itunes account?
I am a teacher and we are setting up accounts for our iPad carts, and we originally had one account for all our iPads, and have now switched to using three separate accounts. When I logged into iTunes with our new ID for the cart, and tried syncing an iPad, it still had the old apps on the iPad that I was trying to sync with the new account. The apps were also still in the iTunes Library, which I thought was odd since they are from the different account. So are these apps supposed to still be on the iPad, and if not what should we do?
If the apps are still in the iTunes library on the computer that you are syncing them from then they will remain on the iPad - more thatn one account can be authorised on a computer's iTunes (via the Store > Authorise This Computer drop-down menu option), the account doesn't need to be the one that is logged in. If you don't want those apps on the iPads anymore then you could delete them from that computer's iTunes

I have Fujitsu scanner Gi-5110c that came with acrobat 7 standard. I just purchased new desktop computer but I can't find my acrobat 7 standard driver cd. I like to know how I can download the driver to my computer.
Because it was valuable software it was never downloadable; also it was a special "OEM" version that could I think only be installed from that CD.
Acrobat 7 doesn't work properly on Windows 7 and later anyway. -
My old iphone backup date of 1/15/12 on itunes seems out of date. I just synced it before I am going to initiate my new iphone 5 from the Mac that I just synced with. Will it pull the recently synced info or the 1/15/12 data?
Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though. -

You cannot change your iCloud email address. It is an @me.com address, and is associated specifically with that iCloud account. If you want a different @me address assigned, you have to delete the current iCloud account and set up a new one.
