How do I separate my music from my husbands to just go on my ipod shuffle?I know I need to manually pull the songs over...please help I need step by step instructions

Need step by step instructions on how to separate my music from my husbands that I purchased on Itunes.I know my account is listed to set up manually...I just forget how to do it.I know I need to drag each song over right???Please advise

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer. iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. • How do I separate my contacts from my husband's list of contacts?

I have a Galaxy S5 and my husband has an Apple iPhone 5S - how do I separate the contact lists - we DO ONT want to share the same ones but I cannot figure out how to separate them???

As noted earlier, each phone line would need its own My Verizon account and log-in.  Go to the website at www.verizonwireless.com, then look at the top of the page in the red banner.  To the right of Sign in to My Verizon, click Register and follow the prompts.
Once each line has its own My Verizon account, then you can set up separate Backup Assistant accounts by logging into each phone's My Verizon account.

  • How can I follow-up directly to apple, for my defective iphone5. They promise to replace it but then it's been a month. I want to know when exactly will I get the replacement. PLEASE HELP ME. Im from the Philippines.

I just bought my iphone5 last march 27, but then after a few weeks I noticed that there is something loose inside of it. So I went to Globe Philippines, a telecommunications company in the Philippines and one of the authorize distributor of iPhones here ib the country, but instead of just replacing my defective phone, the advised me to wait for 3 to 4 weeks for them to be able to replace it because the replacement unit will be coming from Apple Singapore. I said ok then, but It's already a month now, still there is no feedback regarding the status of my phone. PLEASE HELP ME! Apple Singapore, Im begging you to replace my phone.

All support for your iPhone in the Philippines is handled by Globe, so you need to continue to work with them on the issue. No one here can help you directly with this issue, nor is there any way you can yourself contact the repair depot in Singapore (if indeed that's where it is). You can, however, try calling Apple Support in the Philippines at 1-800-1441-0234, ask to speak with someone in Customer Relations, and ask if there's anything they can do to help expedite the process.
    Regards.

an iphone can be synced with one itune library at one time. erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iphone with the contents of this itune library!!
apple..... ypu sale these gadgets which i love but I dont want to earse the music on my iphone i would like to save them into my library, how can i do this? most of the music i have bought and i dont want to loose any of it!!!
    Please someone help me.

The iphone is not a storage/backup device.  The sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The exception is itunes purchases:  File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your other library/computer, or your backup copy, to your new library/computer

  • How do I separate my iCloud from my husband's account?

Stupidly, when I got my iPhone, I logged into the same iCloud account my husband uses. It's causing major storage issues. Neither of us can update our phones. I can no longer take pictures. I've deleted all of my texts, keep my voicemails deleted and deleted all of my emails. I downloaded my pictures to my computer, so I do not have any on my phone. I have created my own iCloud account. How do I change the iCloud account associated with my phone? I do not want to delete his account or make things delete from his phone.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Doing this won't have any effect on his phone.

  • How do I sync my music from itunes 11 on my computer to my ipod?

I've been looking for the past hour, every nook and cranny, for a way to sync some music I just bought from itunes to my ipod. In itunes 10, they had a whole page just for that sort of thing and now nada. Nothing. Zip. If my ipod was able to connect to my wifi (a whole other problem), I'd be falling asleep to my new music right now, but nooo... This is really fustrating, someone please come to my rescue.

Yes. You do it when you sync your iPad to your computer via iTunes. Read this.

What do you mean? They do show in the Purchased items in iTunes. Click on the three little dots ... to the right of the last icon showing in the top left to get the list of other iTunes categories (like books). Click on Books, and then on Purchased:

  • 1. How do I separate my library from my kids'? We have different itunes accounts, 1 computer.

How do I separate my library from my kids'?  We have different iTunes accounts and log in and out when we sync our various devices, all on one Windows 8 (new to us) computer.  All I want is to plug my devices in and sync ONLY my songs!  I've been managing to manually manage and check and uncheck songs, but it's such a pain and that doesn't always work anyway.  It is as if there are more than 2 locations for my music and I just want them all to show up in my own library.  Does that make sense?  Please help.

Stop manually managing content, that is simply not smart or efficient.
Create playlists with the desired content, sync those playlists to the device. iTunes remembers what to sync to each device.
If you really want to split the library, that can be done but it will be a time consuming and entirely manual process.

  • Old Computer crash. How can I transfer my music  from Ipod to new Computer?

Lightning struck my old computer, how can I transfer my music from the Ipod to the new computer (Windows XP) Itunes library?

You don't need to buy anything from the spammers that infect these forums. There are plenty of free options.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
    See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
