Wow, I'm so used to setting up most repeated events on my mac in BusyCal that I didn't realize how limiting iPad/iCal was. I'll be curious to see if anyone has a trick to accomplish this. Thanks for posting this "issue".

unfortunately you can only use the predetermined time lenght's in the reminder app (hour, day, week ,month ,year) and so on. You could either set it to remind you monthly or you could set it up as an event in your calendar as it is a bit more customizable on time

I must be missing something - simply want Monday to show up first in week view in the iPad calendars. I've seen suggestions of changing from US to UK region settings but I don't want to change formats for numbers, etc globally.

At the moment I don't think that it's possible apart from via the Region Format which you don't want to change. You can try leaving feedback and maybe it'll get changed in a future release of iOS : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

You have to use the "repeat>Custom" setting on the Desktop version of iCal.

How can i organize events that repeat every year with iphoto. For example, if i make picrues every year or 1 time a month, of my doughter, for example:
Playing with our dog in the garden january 2012
Playing with our dog in the garden march 2012
Playing with our dog in the garden October 2012
Playing with our dog in the garden december 2012
Playing with our dog in the garden march 2013
I don't know, what is the intelligent type of eventname.
If i made "Playing with our dog in the garden", than i cant see the difference of growing (3 Month old chilren is completle different of a 5 Month old children)
If i made "Playing with our dog in the garden Month Year" then the events are hundrets in 5 Year.
I think, i don't understand, how to organize the contents with events. Is thera a whitepaer, a guide or somethink like that to take the DB organized how Apple iPhoto is meaning?

The Trick is to create an Album
Playing with Dog in Garden
Drag the images you want from the Events to the Album. Sort the Album on Date. Now you have a chronological view of your daughter playing in the garden with the Dog.

I use Events simply as big buckets of Photos: Spring 08, July - Nov 06 are typical Events in my Library. I use keywords and Smart Albums extensively. I title the pics broadly.
I keyword on a
Who
What
Where basis (The When is in the photos's Exif metadata). I also rate the pics on a 1 - 5 star basis.
Using this system I can find pretty much find any pic in my 50k library in a couple of seconds.
So, for example, I have a batch of pics titled 'Seattle 08' and a typical keywording might include: John, Anne, Landscape, mountain, trees, snow. With a rating included it's so very easy to find the best pics we took at Mount Rainier.
File -> New Smart Album
set it to 'All"
title contains Seattle
keyword is mountain
keyword is snow
rating is 5 stars
Or, want a chronological album of John from birth to today?
New Smart Album
Keyword is John
Set the View options to Sort By Date Ascending
Want only the best pics?
add Rating is greater than 4 stars
The best thing about this system is that it's dynamic. If I add 50 more pics of John to the Library tomorrow, as I keyword and rate them they are added to the Smart Album.
In the end, organisation is about finding the pics. The point is to make locating that pic or batch of pics findable fast. This system works for me.

It is possible to have multiple libraries in a single account and use each one for a different iPod without affecting the other. To create or access a second (or more) library, hold down the Option key when launching iTunes 7. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to the other Library.
Note: You can only have one Library open at a time and iTunes will default to the last library opened if you don't use the keyboard command to choose one. This can prove tricky when using multiple iPods, if you don't use the keyboard command you can risk syncing to the wrong library but if you are only going to update your Dad's iPod periodically this shouldn't be an issue:

I've added a calendar event to repeat every two weeks, but it repeats every day. The original event was set up for all Day on Wednesday, Nov 5. Setting up for a single day worked fine. Add the repeat option and select every two weeks...and it shows up every day until the end date. I've re-booted the phone and tried other start dates. Same result. This is in the base iPhone calendar. No other calendars have been installed. iPhone 6 iOS 8.0.2. Any suggestions?

Found a workaround:
Just change each attribute 1 item at a time.
Create the calendar entry for one day only with no other settings.
Go back in and edit it so that its every two weeks, then leave and confirm this worked.
Open calendar back up and add in the end date.
That's the only way I could get it to accept those settings, one attribute at a time.
Misc. bug I suppose. I miss the "It just works" days. Living in silicon valley, the QA engineering buds I have at apple go on rants about the undisclosed/undiscovered but known bugs in ios every time we're having drinks. From what I hear, internally IOS8/8.1 weren't ready for prime time push just yet.

HI friend open your desired album and see on the right side corner a button which says select press the button select and then press select the picture you want to move. I'd like to print the next (up an coming) weeks of my calendar from iCal in month view - The idea is to get this information on 1 sheet of A4.. just like the month view.. but as far as i can see the month view only gives you current or next complete months.. The ONLY time this give me the view I want is in the first week of any given month.. the rest of the month part of the print is in the past and not enough of the up and coming weeks are shown?
I can believe the app won't allow you to do this .. am I missing an easy fix.. or has it been rectified in Yosemite .. I'm using mavericks 10.9.5.
