Hello All - Stumped at how to avoid having Mail be the default - which seems to be the default of choice on my desktop. However I do not really use Mail, but rather gmail. Unsure of how to go about this, since I do not have a reader for my gmail. Thanks to all you know - Carlyle

You could try gmail Notifier for Mac. Text below from link (Frequently asked Questions).
Making Gmail your default mail application
You can designate Gmail as your default mailto handler. This means that when you click on any hyperlinked email address, a Gmail compose window will open so you can send a message to that address from Gmail.
To do so in Windows:
Download the Gmail Notifier.
Right-click the Notifier icon in your system tray, and select Options.
Check the box next to Use Gmail for internet mailto: links.
Click OK.
If you decide later that you don't want to use Gmail as your default email application, simply uncheck the box.And, if you're using a Mac, you can set your default mailto handler by following these steps:
Download the Google Notifier.
Open the Notifier.
Click the Mail icon on the Menu bar and go to Preferences...
Select the Gmail tab and choose Gmail as the program from the Compose mail in drop-down menu.
Note: The Notifier is currently available in English only.

I was required to enter my recovery key. Now, there begins that huge flaw. I've forgotten it (I know it was my responsibility to remember it).

If you lose access to two of these three items at the same time, you could be locked out of your Apple ID account permanently.
In addition, with two-step verification turned on, only you can reset your password, manage your trusted devices, or create a new recovery key.
Apple Support can help you with other aspects of your service, but they will not be able to update or recover these three things on your behalf.
If you aren't responsible enough to do that, you should not have turned the optional security feature on.
This is your fault, not Apple's.

This posting maybe helpful. Granted, it's showing you how to enable the feature. But you should be able to figure out how to disable it by just doing the complete opposite in steps.

Welcome to the forum, NicoleYM. I don't think the Touch Mail has as many options as the Mac Mail app. However, you could set a standard signature. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Signature. There you can type a reply address and hope people see it.
Alternatively, you can go to your GMail account in your web browser and click on Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP. There you will have an option to forward all emails (or only some, if you set up a filter) to your other address.

You can set up your default mail client in Mail.
Open Mail
In the menu bar choose Mail... > Preferences
In the Preferences pane choose General and in the Default email reader menu select your email client
Quit Mail
Now when you click on a link in Safari that email client will open.

Hi guys,
This is how you can set Google Bar to google.co.uk. It's like hardwiring it into the application.
Please note that I used this method on safari 3.0.4. I guess it works fine with any 3.x.x version but not sure if it will work on previews versions as well.
The Method:
1. Take a backup of Safari (goto Applications and make a copy of Safari somewhere safe)
2. Make sure you have taken backup of Safari!
Quit Safari.
3. Goto Applications > Safari
Right click and choose "Show Package Contents"
A new Finder window opens up.
In that window goto Contents > MacOS
Right click on "Safari" and select "Open With" > "Other..."
From the menu choose "TextEdit" and click on "Open"
4. Now you see a page full of not-so-easy-to-understand text.
In this page search for:
http://%@.google.com/%@?q=%@&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
Replace this string (there are two occurrences) with the following:
http://%@.google.co.uk/%@?hl=en&q=%@&a=0000000
NOTE 1: You better use the "Replace & Find" function.
NOTE 2: MAKE SURE YOU DONT MESS AROUND WITH ANYTHING ELSE AND THAT YOU DONT DELETE ANY CHARACTERS AROUND THE STRING BY MISTAKE.
5. Save the file (from the Application Menu choose "File" > "Save")
NOTE: Do it exactly the way I said: goto to "File" > "Save". DONT click on the red close button and then save.
6. Now open Safari. Hopefully it opens. If not then you've done something wrong!
Try the Google Bar and walla it works.

In the Composing pane of Mail's preferences window, look for the pop-up menu labeled "Send new messages from." Select the desired account there.
Note, though, that this won't change the behavior when replying to a message... in that case, the reply will be sent from the account that received the message, unless you specify differently at that time.

Incidentally, if you have a relatively new Apple mouse (Magic Mouse or Mighty Mouse should work), you should be able to enable right-click, if you'd like it, by going to System Preferences - Mouse - and turning on "Secondary click". Third-party mice, like Logitech or Microsoft, should have right-click automatically.

you can reset the Photoshop preferences in the following way
Windows: Shift + Ctrl + Alt
Mac: Shift + Command + Option
Hold down the above keyboard combinations while starting photoshop.
You will be asked if you want to reset preferences -answer yes.

You can also just use the same restore backup for all your devices you will get the same notifications BUT you have to click on Sync over wifi so it can work if not they will only work when you sync them when you sync on computer
