How do I set new tabs to open up with my home page?

When I open up a new tab the screen says "You have opened up a new Tab"....Informative but not particularly helpful... Can I set it so the new tab opens up on the google home page?

When I open new tabs they just go to a Google Search page, which is very frustrating, especially when I open a new tab and try to type in the URL bar but as soon as it finishes loading Google it blanks out what I typed in and goes to the Google site. You can simply middle-click the home button to open the home page in a new tab, or you can install one of the many extensions that let you tweak what the new tab opens. How can I open safari with multiple home pages

On my iPhone 4 I always follow the same four websites (2x e-mail, 1x news and 1x sport page). Is there a way that I can set Safari on the iPhone to open these four pages on startup. i.e. open up with 4 home pages.

It strikes me that it should be possible to do that (or something similar) by building a safari extension, TC. Both Sessions and SafariRestore are able to launch multiple tabs from a previous session, so it seems like you should be able to create an extension that launches multiple tabs open to specific sites when Safari is launched.

How do I set new windows to open my homepage, but new tabs to open blank?

I have my browser set to restore the previous session when I open Firefox, and new tabs to open blank. With these settings, I used to be able to open new windows and have my homepage load, while keeping the behaviors previously mentioned intact, but when I open a new window now, I get a blank page.
Is there any way to restore the previous behavior, or are all tabs now seen as the same now, whether they're opened as part of new windows or existing windows?
