How do i set Preset "High Resolution" in save as EPS script

Hi,
I am writing my own Illustrator scripts to automate the workflow.
I haven't been able to fix a Preset "High Resolution" in the transparency section of the EPS-option dialog.
Is there a way to set that option by script?
It would be great if anyone help an idea of how to solve it.
MOhan

Thanks.
My issue is as per my workflow need to supply PDF to clients.
Same is converted from Adobe Illustrator>Concert to EPS>Distill and PDF is ready.
While converting through Script process some of the text's converting in pixels.
Same if converted without script it comes in good quality.
Please advise.

For Eps using the script as
save current document in file newFilePath as eps ¬
with options {class:EPS save options ¬
                , compatibility:Illustrator 14 ¬
                , preview:color Macintosh ¬
                , embed linked files:true ¬
                , include document thumbnails:true ¬
                , embed all fonts:true ¬
                , CMYK PostScript:true ¬
                , PostScript:level 3}
in this If I add "preset:high resolution" than it show's error.
It will be great if any one help me how to add this.

I have unchecked the box that converts my higher resolution songs to 128 kpbs downloaded to my iPod classic. How do I restore the higher resolution songs to the iPod?

Uncheck the option to sync music to your iPod from under the iPod's Music configuration pane and hit Apply.  After it has completed, retick the option and again hit Apply to resync all your music from your main iTunes library back to your iPod.
Or restore your iPod and start from scratch.

  • How do I burn a high resolution dvd from Final Cut

Compressors quality doesn't seem as good as the file that plays on my computer.  Please tell me there is a way to get the high resolution I see on my computer onto a DVD.  And how do I do it?  Step bye step...

    Hi
But if You want to do as good as is possibly with iDVD then read my notes.
    FCE/P to iDVD
    Several things
    • How to go from FCE/P to iDVD
    • Free space on Start-up hard disk
    • Encoding
    • Brand and type of DVDs used
    • Burn speed set
    • iDVD BUG
    • Chapters
How to go from FCE/P to iDVD I do
    • Disable Screen and Energy saver
    • IMPORTANT --> FIRST in FinalCut - Mix Down Audio under Sequence Menu / Render Only / Mix-down
    • Export out as a QuickTime .mov file
    • Select with Mark - Chapter Mark
    • Not as Self-Contained (not important but saves time and space)
    • NO QUICKTIME CONVERSION (IMPORTANT)
This QT.mov file I import into iDVD from within iDVD.
Free space on Start-up hard disk
I set a minimum of 25GB (for Mac OS and iDVDs temp files)
    Encoding
    • I use Pro Quality encoding
Brand and type of DVDs used
    • I use Verbatim
    • I use DVD-R
    Burn speed set
    • I set down this to x4 (or x1)
    iDVD BUG
    • One can not go back to movie-project for any alterations and then go back to
the iDVD project. It will notice and ask You to either Up-date or Cancel. Neither
    of them will work.
Medicine - Start a brand new iDVD project.
    Use of Chapters
    • I only use a to z and 0 to 9 in naming them. NO other symbol/letter !
    • NO Chapter-mark at very beginning - iDVD NEEDS TO set this by it self
    • No Chapter marks in or within two seconds from a transition
(Way around this last one - Export movie as QT full quality and NO Chapter marks
Import this into a new Movie-project and now You are free to set C-Ms where You want
them except at very beginning - still)
    Material used to build movie
    • video - I use streamingDV (or convert all other to this e.g. .mp4, .avi, .wmv etc)
    • audio - I use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz or from Audio-CD (44.1kHz) - no .mp3 or direct from iTunes
    • photos - I use .jpg - no .bmp etc
Trash iDVD pref. file and run Repair Permissions - and have a re-try.
    from post ??
May not be relevant, but I had the same problem with iDVD, where burned DVDs showed a green screen. It was cured by quitting Quicksilver and Quickeys as well as disabling sleep and screen-saving

  • How to change pictures to high resolution

What app do I use to change my pictures to high resolution?

    Hello
I have found info that Tecra 8200 is delivered with two different displays:
1024x768 pixel TFT colour display and
    1400x1050 pixel TFT colour display.
I presume you have the second one. If you use lower resolution you can not expect perfect illustration and please use native resolution. Please use right driver and you can find it on Toshiba support page.
Robin is right. Before you install Power saver utility install Common modules at first. Using power saver settings you will be able to set display brightness at the maximum level.

  • How can I set a custom resolution on a MacbookAir for an external monitor?

I've been trying to set a custom resolution on my macbook air for an external monitor but the only options displayed are 1280x1024 and 800x600. How can I bring up more options? Thanks!

Your Mac sets those resolutions (and the display NAME) based on the information your display provides when a query is sent at Startup. If those are the only resolutions shown, then your display has said that is all it can do.
What display is this, and what Interface is being used?
This pane will tell you more about what the display has reported:

  • Help- How do I Make a High Resolution Gif in Flash?

So I've been surfing the net trying to find a way to get a 100% resolution from Flash to Gif and can't find it.
Here is the deal, I've got CS5 Premium Suit and I started doing animation in photoshop. It took forever but once I got it done it looked awesome and I could easily transfer it into a gif via 'save for web and devices".
Because it was taking forever I decided to learn flash and after a day I got the basics pretty much figured out and made my first .swf file. I then went to turn it into a Gif and the resolution sucked and the timing was off. I found out that you can clean it up a bit through Publish settings which helped a lot but still any gradients are off.
Is there a way to get a high resolution gif out of Flash to look as good as my photoshop animation gif?
    Thanks in advance.

Hello? I posted this in the annimated tips sup-forum but I was told to ask it here. What is the deal with this. Is there even a way I can manualy adjust the compression of these files besides "losy" or "losless" because it sure it losing stuff in losless?
Is photoshop really the program I have to do my animation in if I want to maintain clearity in my graphics?
What the crap! Why would Adobe do this, Why is it compressing my files in such a way that is distorting the gradients and colors?
    Anyone?

  • How do I set the default library with "Save As" ?

I use FIrefox.  When I want to "Save As" a PDF file, the default library always resets instead of going to the last location where I saved something.  How can I set the "Save As" default location to be a specific place?

Are you using the Save As command of Firefox or of Reader? If the former then it's a question more suited for a FF forum. If the latter I'm afraid the answer is you can't change it.

  • Whenever i burn photos to a cd from iphoto it does it in a low resolution - how do i make it high resolution?

I need to print photos in a high quality resolution - my camera resolution can enlarge up to 16X20 in good quality but when i burn from iphoto to cd it burns in low res....how do I fix that? I don't see an option anywhere to indicate resolution...

As you don't tell us what version of iPhoto you have or how you're burning to disk, I'll guess you're using the Share -> Burn command to make the CD?
This makes a mini-library on the disk and is designed for sharing with other iPhoto users.
If you are doing this then I'll also guess that you're printing the Thumbnails from the Data folder.
Try using the File -> Export command to export the photos from the Library to a folder on the desktop. Then burn that with the Finder.

  • How do I get a high resolution pdf version of my pages document?

When exporting a pages document to the "best" version of PDF, the image is saved at a much lower resolution than what I need.  I have a 3.5 MB pages file that ends up converting to a PDF that ends up only at 268KB.  The quality just does not look professional at all.

    > Henrik it is way too complicated because Apple has made it so and offered absolutely no guidance or documentation to expalin their actions. Not only that the process is buggy. I still can't get ColorSync to reliably accept name changes or changes to the settings.
I wouldn't disagree, nor would others. It is true of ColorSync as it is of TrueType (no pun intended) that the scientific inventions haven't turned into social innovations, partly because of the lack of educational effort, partly because of the lack of implementation in system level software itself.
Is Microsoft doing any better than Apple? No. Witness the fact, for instance, that the Adobe OpenType Library, like the Adobe Type 1 Library, overwrites ISO-IEC 10646-Universal Coded Character Set (UCS). With better education and better implementation, there would be no market for this sort of thing.
So, who is going to be doing the educating? Well, if you look at the country I live in, Denmark with a population of some 5.4m which is about the same as the population of city of Hamburg to the south, then Denmark lodged a Defect Report on ISO-IEC 10646:1993 because Danish Standards and the Danish Language Agency did not accept that in a connected world, universal character information cannot by definition specify character semantics without unique language and locale metainformation. If the locale for Danish were published by the Danish Language Agency, not only would it have to publish that it was wrong to start with, but the sale of non-conformant font software and non-conformant e-paper software would also stop, because endusers would understand that information input certainly does not equal information output. So what stops publication? Well, the largest corporation in Scandinavia until the mid-nineties was Østasiatisk Kompagni A/S (East Asiatic Company) which until 1994 sold Heidelberg printing presses through Heidelberg Eastern Inc from the Rockies to the Atlantic coast and until 1998 sold Heidelberg printing presses in the East Asian markets where the Adobe font model was known to be unworkable since Xerox started publishing the implications for RIP architectures of higher abstraction levels in font software and system software.
As you know, the discussion within Apple 1988-1996 led to conflict, and almost to collapse. It is not the case that US capitalists are selling poor software to EU consumers; it is the case that EU consumers are driving the demand for the supply of poor software that lacks the abstraction levels for separating the realm of colourimetry information from the realm of imageable colourant, the realm of character information from the realm of imageable composition, and the realm of layout rendering order from the realm of logical reading order. Change takes time, although sometimes it seems that the time it takes is too long -:).

  • How do I set the 4k resolution?

I have a MacPro with dual D700 and 6xDP and HDMI1.4. The latter is limited to 4k30 (UHD24-30 and C4K24) by the standard. I have connected this port to a Samsung 40HU6950 4k TV that supports all four HDMI 4k modes.
The MP is defaulting to C4K and thus outputting 4096x2160 at the only supported refresh rate of 24Hz. I would rather run it at UHD30 (3840x2160p30) because (a) the refresh rate will be 25% higher and (b) I will reduce the scaling artifacts that the 6.6% reduction from 4096 to 3840 may be causing in the TV as the panel is really UHD.
The displays Control Panel for the Sammy does not give me any options, only "what is best for this TV" and five Scaled options (which are all zoom modes). However, the latter is still using the C4K resolution. I would rather the output be UHD30 with chosen Scale level, but that's not how the system operates (yet). Regardless of how the visual elements are scaled, I should be able to choose between the timing formats.
The reason for this is the mouse movement is laggy and non-fluid. When vendors start selling DP-to-HDMI2 dongles in a couple months, this nightmare should be over and I can output 60Hz. But I really want it to be UHD so every incoming datum matches with a screen element (fixing 'b' above).
Theoretically, I could remove the EDID from the Samsung and reprogram it to NOT have C4K, but this is extreme and not what you would do while still under warranty. It also presupposes that the EDID is not embedded in the silicon and can be removed. An alternative would be to use a "golden EDID", which is where the data structure is held within the Mac itself and the one in the TV is ignored. This is used when TV's is wrong or bad
    Thoughts?

Well, that was helpful. There were a whole bunch of resolutions in there, and ironically, UHD30 was at the top of the list (like it was Preferred or something).
I changed the res and the mouse movement immediately became smoother. However, after about 9s, the screen went dark for about 2s, therm came back. I'm going to have to see how stable this turns out to be. But it looks really good right now.
I may grab the EDID, parse it, and but some insights about it here. I did searches for UHD and 3840, but did not find anything useful. And there should be

  • How will Reflow work with higher resolution mobile devices?

If the media queries are based on a resolution breakpoint, how will we be able to specify a mobile css design for new mobile devices with such high pixel density displays?

I haven't found a workaround for device pixel ratio but I have found that creating my sprite at double res and oversizing my images helps greatly with sharpness on hi-dpi displays. Reflow does allow for CSS3 background sizing which is great for resizing a single  sprited item across breakpoints.
SVG would be even better but OSX Mavericks has made illustrator unusable for the time being, so I'm using raster-only sprites.

  • SyncmasterAS850 with MBP 13" How may I get the high resolution

I have got a new Samsung Syncmaster S27AS850. I would like to use it with its full resolution of 2560 x 1440. I would like to know how this may work with a dual link DVI adapter and a Macbook pro 13" mid 2009.

SwankPeRFection is right . Turn off mirroring.
Once you turn off Mirroring you get the arrangement pane:
The sizes of the tiny screens are proportional to the number of pixels.
The menuBar can be moved to either diplay, and the screens can be dragged around to any reflect their positions on your bench. My son puts his big screen up on 4" blocks, and opens the laptop below it for maximum screen area.
Stay away from "Full Screen Mode" while using multiple displays. It is taken from IOS, the land of tiny screens.
