How do I set up 2 itunes account on my MacBook Air?

I'm looking at purchasing a second iPad for my husband and have the 2 iPads download from itunes from the same computer.  Can anyone help me set that up?

You can use the same iTunes account. Each device should have its own name (settings, general, about, name). When you connect to iTunes, it will see the individual device. You can then sync whatever you want to that device. I have 2 iPhones and 2 iPads on my iTunes account.

I am trying to help an elderly neighbor whose son gave her his Macbook Air to use but he is the Administrator and has been recently deployed overseas and she cannot contact him. How can I set her up with her own account on his computer without his Administrator password?

    Hi there KARMS1!
I have a couple of articles here that can help you with this situation. Depending on the operating system installed on your MacBook Air, you may be able to reset the password. If you are running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard on the MacBook Air, you will want to reference this article:
Mac OS X 10.6: If you forget your administrator password
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ph6317
However, if your operating system is later than that, you will need to erase the computer and reinstall the operating system, effectively deleting the administrator and all information on the computer so that you may create a new administrator account:

  • How do you set up an iTunes account in two countries

I have an address that I use in two different counties. How do I set up two iTunes accounts; one for each country.

iTunes accounts are not designed to be used in multiple countries.  It affects a few people but probably makes it simpler for Apple given the complexities of international copyright.
You would have to set up a separate account for each country with a different AppleID.  Each account would have to have separate credit card information for a CC issued in that country, with a physical address in each country.  If you do this, remember that items purchased under one AppleID are not transferable to another.  Then too you will have issues with authorizing your computer for  downloads (a 90 day wait period for changing authorizations).  There's a host of issues with having purchases scattered between multiple accounts.
You can change country for a particular account, again once every 90 days if I recall correctly.  However, that has its own set of issues which people have encountered when trying to do something such as update an app that is only available in the other country.
You could likely make it work 90% but it won't be simple.
Technically you are not supposed to use an account while out of the country. People seem to get away with it but Apple can do things to stop you.  E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE

  • HT1373 how can you set up another iTunes account but keep all your purchases and music from a previous account

how can you set up another iTunes account but keep all your purchases and music from a previous account

An iTunes account is something you log into online to buy music.
An iTunes library is a collection of media and other items (including apps) on your computer.  This is what you see when you open iTunes.
So, do you mean account or library?  You can set up a new iTunes account but all your purchases made in that account will remain in the old account and cannot be moved.  You can set up a new library by starting iTunes and immediately hold down the option key.

help, how do I set up an icloud account on my macbook pro with 10.6.8 — all it has is "mobile me" under internet and wireless on my system doc????

You should check that your Mac meets the requirements for upgrading.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
To purchase it you will have to ring Apple at the number given at the bottom left of this page.
The requirements for Mountain Lion are listed here:
    http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

  • How do I access my original iTunes account on new MacBook?

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro. I have my original iTunes account set up on my old laptop, which I am unable to even turn on because it needs to be repaired (which I really have no intention of doing now).  How do I access my old iTunes account/downloads to be on my new Mac?  There was a message that read something to the effect of "cannot have your iTunes account set up on more than one computer," I think.  I'm not even able to sync my iPod to my new Mac without risking losing all of the content that is on my iPod.  I have iTunes open on my Mac, am able to send downloads there, but I do not think I am signed in (they are all NEW downloads, nothing old from old laptop).  PLEASE HELP!!  Thanks in advance.

In other words, how can I access my iTunes library/content from iTunes on my other computer?

Can I set up two seperate ITune accounts on one MacBook? If so, how?

Exactly what do you mean by set up?
In iTunes you can authorize more than one iTunes accounts using the 'Authorize This Computer…' command under the Store menu. Run the commend twice for each account.
Here's an article that explains what I'm talking about.
