How do I set up a shared server Oracle 9i

I'm trying to switch from a dedicated server to a shared server. I added mts_dispatchers, mts_servers and mts_max_servers to my configuration file, but got a message saying they have been depricated.
How is this done in 9i?
Thanks for your time,
Anthony

For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
What you mean by 'share'.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
(You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.

  • How do I set up family sharing if all my family members emails are already associated with my iTunes account?

I want to set up family sharing but it won't let me because all the emails are already associated with the one iTunes account we have.  I am afraid to delete because my children use that email address for text messaging.  How do I set up family sharing if all my family members emails are already associated with my iTunes account?

    Hey Wendaroski,
I am not quite sure what you mean by "my family members emails are already associated with my iTunes account" but what you need for each family member is an Apple ID. Yours would be the one for your iTunes account.
If the other members of the family already have an Apple ID you can invite them to join the family group. If not they will need to create one, using their email address. This article shows how -

  • How do I set-up a Shared Folder to automatically grant read

In OS 10.6.8, how do I set-up a Shared folder to automatically grant read & write access to all new MS Office files?  Older files are fine.  But, when new files are created and saved by one registered user, those files are "read-only" when opened by a different registered user, even though the permissions that are on the "Shared Folder" are read and write for each of the registered user groups.  Can't this be changed somehow?  The computer is used by two different work groups and some of the WORD or PPTX files are shared by both both work groups and are in the /users/shared folder when one of the user groups creates a new file and saves it to the Shared folder, it can't be edited unless saved with a different name.  I need to be able to fix this.  I assume it's an Office problem.  If I can fix using terminal commands, please be detailed.
    Thank you.

  • How do I set up file sharing to keep my Quicken and Aperture files accessible and in synch across my network?

I have a gigabyte ethernet network connecting my home and workshop.  I have an iMac (mid-2009 and late-2012) at each location running Mountain Lion and Windows 7 Home Premium under Parallels 8.  I want to be able to access my Quicken (for Windows), Office (for Mac) and photo (Aperture and iPhoto for Mac) files from either location and keep the files in synch.  How do I set up File Sharing to accomplish this and what process should I use when updating and saving changes?

    Use SugarSync.

    Hi,
    >>where do I specify which csv file to read from the external table..
Please, read either the link provided by Andrew or the link that I have posted in my previous post.
"# DEFAULT DIRECTORY - specifies the default location of files that are read or written by external tables. The location is specified with a directory object, not a directory path. See Location of Datafiles and Output Files for more information.
    # LOCATION - specifies the location of the external data. The location is specified as a list of directory objects and filenames. If the directory object is not specified, then the default directory object is used as the file location."

  • How do I set up file sharing in Lion Server to work like file sharing in Lion Client?

I've just installed Lion Server on my home iMac to enable remote access via VPN to my home network.
When the iMac was running Lion Client (before the upgrade to server), and when File Sharing was enabled on the iMac; when other Macs on the LAN connected to the iMac via AFP, they were always able to connect to (share) any mounted external volumes (external USB or FireWire drives connected to the iMac). e.g.
Now that I've upgraded to Lion Server, when other Macs on the LAN connected to the iMac via AFP they are only able to connect to (share) the sharepoints listed in the File Sharing pane of Server.app. e.g.
Is there any way to set up File Sharing in Lion Server so that it works the same way as it does in Lion Client with respect to mounted external volumes? i.e. they are automatically shared? I know I can add each volume manually to File Sharing in Server.app but this gets tedious.
    Many thanks!

I normally have a Firewall enabled. I recently had to do an erase and install of Lion, followed by a one-by-one re-install of all of my software. One of the first things I did was to set up all of my System Preferences the way I like them; Turning the Firewall on was one of them. Later I noticed it was off and turned it on again. I had already set up sharing and was surprised to see the problem when I turned it back on.
As to why do I think it needs to be on. It is another part of my security layer.

  • How do I set up a shared mailbox on Outlook 2010

I am using Outlook 2010 on my desktop and Exchange online for Office 365.  I have set up my Outlook 2010 to receive emails via POP3 settings.  I have also set up a shared mailbox on Exchange and given everyone permission to the mailbox.
How do I get the shared mailbox to download onto my Outlook 2010 on my desktop?

I set up as POP3 because when I set it up as exchange it created a new email address on my list that did not contain my current contact informaiton and calendar.  How to I get that onto the exchange email so I can use shared mailboxes?
You need to Add the account as an Exchange account. Auto Account Setup should create the correct account type. To move calendar and contacts (and any mail not on the server), open the calendar and switch to a list view. Select all and drag or use Move to
folder to move the appointments. If you use Move, meeting updates will work. If you use Copy to folder, any meeting updates you send or receive for the copied items won't work.
Open the contacts folder and select all, and Move to folder. If you use Copy to folder, Contact Groups may be broken and not update.
Move or copy any mail that needs to be in the Exchange mailbox. If you have a lot, you can use Export.

  • How do I set up family sharing when one family member doesn't have an apple id but is currently using mine?

I am trying to set up family sharing for my wife and me. I have a Macbook pro (running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1) and an iPhone 6. My wife has an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4s. All software is up to date. Currently we have one Apple ID which has both of our email addresses. Do I need to delete one of the email addresses and open up a new apple account with that email address? Will we lose anything if we do that?

    Hi jas717,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
Because there are only two of you, the solution that I may recommend for sharing content would be to use one Apple ID (the one you already have) for iTunes and App Store purchases between both of you. This will allow the both of you have access to the same purchased content. If you would like to have different Contacts, Calendars, etc., you can create a second Apple ID for use with iCloud. This will allow you both to have separate iCloud information but still have access to all purchased content from iTunes and the App Store.

Use one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store purchases
You can use different Apple IDs for iCloud and Store purchases and still get all of the benefits of iCloud.
    iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
When you first set up your device with iOS 5 or later, enter the Apple ID you want to use with iCloud. If you skipped the setup assistant, sign in to Settings > iCloud and enter the Apple ID you’d like to use with iCloud.
In Settings > iTunes and App Stores, sign in with the Apple ID you want to use for Store purchases. You might need to sign out first to change the Apple ID.

  • How do i set up family sharing?

My phone isn't allowing me to set up a family sharing account with my family. The message keeps popping up saying that "only an adult with a valid iTunes & App Store payment method can set up Family Sharing. Ask a parent to set up Family Sharing from iCloud Settings." I am the parent of the family, therefore why is it not allowing me to create the account?

  • How do I set up Family Sharing for my kids without owning a device myself?

My kids received iPads for Christmas. I neither have an iPad nor an iPhone, but I would like to set up Family Sharing.  How can I do this from my account without owning one of said devices?  I have installed iCloud for Windows, but I cannot log into it (valid iTunes account, but not set up for iCloud).
