You may have already done this, but try de-authorizing your computer (through the iTunes:Store menu) and then re-authorizing it.

Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can reset the questions.

How do I delete an ICloud acct on IPhone when the old email address no longer exists?

I changed my Apple ID password due to a phishing email and it started a downward spiral of issues. My original ICloud email address no longer exists. I have tried to sign out/in in itunes that worked but I cannot delete the ICloud account because the field is not editable for apple ID. I tried setting it back to the old email address to turn off Find my IPhone but it will nopt allow because the email address cannot be verified because it no longer exists.

To Delete an iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. You should then be able to delete the old account. When done, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.

My brother has managed to mess up his Apple ID. We have Apple ID and password but everytime a paid App is trying to download it asks for security questions which he has forgotten the answers to. The recovery email address he has entered is not correct to nay email account we have in the family and I haven't a clue what to do next? The old email address may well still be valid as your iTunes AppleID, however if you have no other email associated with that ID you clearly won't get any automated emails to it.

You won't be able to use your @icloud.com email address as your iCloud ID. If you want to use an @icloud.com address as your iCloud ID you would have had to create the account initially that way. While you could create a new iCloud account to do this, your would not be able to use your existing @icloud.com address as the ID; you would have to create a new @icloud.com ID to set up the new account.

Setting up columns to remain in same position when the window is opened

Does anyone know how to save column preferences after they are customized in Mac Mail, Itunes, or any file or folder in OS 10.4? I called Apple care and they didn't know. For example, when I set up my incoming e-mail columns spacing in that window, when I quit mail and then reopen the columns settings are not the way I set them up. I've noticed that this happens in any of the columns after I go to view columns in the menu bar, set up my and customize preferences of what I want to show up and the width of each column, yet there seems to be no way to retain the settings. I have tried quitting the program, closing the file or window, restarting the computer etc, but when I return the same old default column settings appear, or appear differently than I left them. Anybody know how to 'save' column preference settings so they stay the way I left them when I closed the window, or if this is a poor software design in OS 10.4????

Making folders stick to columns and keeping the width & height is easy.
Hold down your option key when you adjust them.
With one exception and that's your Hard Drive (at least for me it is).
My Hard Drive will retain its width & height but not the column width.

How do I remove Kaspersky AV when the virtual machine it was associated with is gone?

My hard disk crashed back in July. I was able to restore my system from Time Machine but lost my Windows 7 Parallels VM. Now I am trying to install McAfee Antivirus but it won't install because Kasperksy AV was running in the VM. I can see the KAV file in the Activity Monitor. The problem I am having is that I can't uninstall Kaspersky without the VM and the VM no longer exists. Am stuck in a vicious loop. Is there any way to remove the file some other way? Force quitting the KAV file from the activity monitor does not seem to work.

What OS are you running? You profile shows 10.6.8. If so, the erase the disk must be done with your Snow Leopard DVD or the disks that came with your computer.
You can try this.

If that isn't successful, you'll need to erase the hard drive to get rid of the file.
Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions. Then select the Erase tab. Format is Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Erase and then reinstall the OS.
