Thanks for letting me and the Support Community know of your success.
With my few years around the IT department, I can see both sides. IT is often a frustrated position to work from in that budgets don't always support the upgrades that tweak the needs of current users. If your department or organization is still using an '03 version of exchange, it's because there isn't budget support justification or the needed work-hours to migrate to one of the 2 newer versions. In these cases, in my experience, IT will consider work-arounds if it can get over IT's defensiveness and embarrassment that it is out-o-date.
In other words, if you accuse the IT people of being contrarian, they will respond that they are not . Slipping them a note is important however because it gives them the opportunity to close any security loopholes that might have opened up as a result of using third-party work-arounds. Hearing about this may also bolster their justification for upgrades or training. Anyway, letting them know is an art in itself. Most are thin skinned and don't take tech advice easily, but I think they should know so that they can add tools to their skill-set.

How do i set up 2 exchange accounts in Mail?

2 exchange accounts at GoDaddy on different servers. Was told by Apple tha I needed to have the accounts on separate servers so that the Mail program could tell it was 2 different accounts.
One of the accounts is (currently) solid.
The other account has intermittent issues whereby the computer SAYS that there are 600+ mail messages, but I can SEE any of them. The only way to "get them back" is to delete the account and reinstall it.
The problem is consistent on both my MacPro AND my MacBookPro
ANY suggestions will be greatly apprciated.
PS As an added "bonus" after I got both exchange accounts up and running my icloud account lost its settings and I had to reinstall it. WHAT am I doing wrong!?!

After removing the account and reinstalling it. currently both send and receive are showing on my Mac Pro.. My MacBookPro s another issue ... even when I send email in that account from the MBP it "flashess" in the sent mail and then dissappears. I modified my "smart folder" and included "sent mail" and that was of no use either. When I first reloaded that account on the MBP this morning both sent and inbox mail showed ... but now nothing in the "sent" folder even though it is still showing on the MP and in the OWA account.
Since the mail is clearly in the OWA account I assume this is an Apple mail issue and not a GoDaddy (server) issue ..

If it's a free gmail account, you don't. Google no longer permits free accounts to be set up using Exchange Active Sync. Only paid google apps accounts can be set up as Exchange accounts.

How can I set up 2 email accounts in Mail

It's me again.
I'm trying to set up Mail 2.1.3. in 10.4.11. I have 2 email accounts. I can enter one just fine but it won't take another. When I try, it says that I "already have a POP account". How do I set up 2 email accounts? I see where I can enter the 2 email addresses by separating them by a comma. But the 2 addresses have different passwords and the password box takes only one password at a time. Any ideas?

It's hard for me to tell by what has been written so far, but it may be referring to what you are entering for the account description. That is, in Mail Prefs > Accounts > Acct Info, for each account it has several entries: Acct Type (that you can't change), Description, email address, full name. If the first account's description is POP, then make the second account's description POP2. I use terms like, "home", "work", and "school" for my accounts' descriptions.
If this is not what is going on, please write down every step you do, and every entry you make, as you try to configure your second email account and post it back here. Naturally, do NOT disclose your actual email address(es) or mail account login name or its password to us here.

How do I set up an IMAP account in mail

I've tried several times to set up a new account in Mail in Mavericks but it always defaults to a POP account. I can't see any way of setting up an IMAP account. Please help.

Thanks Barney-15E: I've tried holding down the Option key at every option to Continue and I never get the option to configure the account manually, it just always sets up a POP account.
Thanks Donald Morgan: that support article does not help. it has step 4 "Deselect "Automatically set up account" if it is enabled. Click Continue to proceed." but I cannot find any checkbox or other way to deselect Automatically set up account.
I've set this account up as IMAP in every system since OSX came out and I've never had this problem.

I know that some exchange servers block mobile devices, but I've been using an app called "Outlook Mail Pro" (click here) on my iPad successfully with multiple Exchange accounts for a long time now. Even if your exchange server allows mobile devices, but your primary need is only email - you might want to check it out. I like being able to keep my work-related accounts in a separate app from my personal email.

I have Mail set up with three gmail-based email accounts. I have chronically had an issue with sending email from one address and having responses to that original email come in to the other gmail addresses. When I try to select which server to send from, all three gmail servers are never online or available at the same time - it's always just one.
How do I get around this? My gmail-based accounts are for three distinct audiences, so I need them to function properly. I would rather be able to do this in Mail than by switching to internet-based email or using Outlook for Mac. At this point, I have had to stop using Mail and am just doing it through the internet. I have deleted all of my email accounts out of Mail, so nothing is currently set up in the application. Do I need to do anything to Mail to really wipe it clean before I start creating my accounts again?

The outgoing mail server uses SMTP.. See set up below
a. Change the Incoming mail (POP3) and Outgoing mail (SMTP) settings to:
i. Incoming mail FROM pop3.email.msn.com TO pop3.live.com
ii. Outgoing mail FROM smtp.email.msn.com TO smtp.live.com
b. Uncheck the "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" box

Office Small Business Premium 365 - Setting up multiple Exchange accounts

Can we set up multiple Exchange accounts on a single Outlook profile using Outlook 2013 (365 Full App)? We have an email subscription to O365, and we have another email account that's hosted with GoDaddy that's an Exchange account. I think it's
possible, but I'm being advised that it isn't reliable (or that it can't work). I found this TechNet article that seems like it

Seems like it is possible. I was able to add two exchange accounts (office 365 services) into Outlook 2013. I guess this is possible through Email Accounts (add New...). Thanks, Microsoft!

How do I subscribe to an Exchange account on iCloud?

I have set up an Exchange account on my iPhone and MPB. The email shows up in Mail on both iPhone and my MBP. My schedule shows up in iCal on the MPB and in Calendar on the iPhone. If I use the web to go to iCloud, I can only get my .Mac mail and my personal iCal schedule. Is there a way to get my Exchange mail and calendar sent to the Cloud? I have a work around for the calendar by exporting my Exchange calendar, then reimporting it into another calendar I created in iCal. It will then show up in the Cloud on the web. I have to manually update it any time there are new schedule events or changes to the original. Any idea how I can have my mail and calendar from work go to the Cloud as well so that I can check them both from any computer if I am away from my computer and/or phone?

No. Exchange and iCloud are two independent calendar systems and iCloud is not designed to interact with Exchange.
For email, you may be able to configure your Exchange account to forward emails to your iCloud email address.

How do I set up a sub account in icloud? We need three separate email addresses in this house but only have one Apple ID. Since the apple ID is an email address, I'm sort of in a catch 22. I can't set up individual icloud accounts because I don't have other apple ID's. I can't get other apple ID's because you have to use one to get an icloud account... Very confusing. You cannot set up subaccounts, as you couldwith the family pack for MobileMe. I'm not sure why you can't create separate Apple IDs and hence iCloud accounts, it isn't good practice to share and iCloud account between different people. All you need to do, is each create your own iCloud account, choosing your old email address when you do so.

How do I set up a seperate account for my wife?

We finally purchased a nice new iPhone for my wife. But she would like her own iTunes account. How do I set up a seperate account for her? She has her own laptop, with an iTunes account on it that I was using. Should I just un-install that iTunes package and have her download a new version? I'd rather have two versions so I don't lose the music on that old iTunes account. It's not huge, but would be a PITA.
