Do you know the format of the DVD ? Is it a normal DVD movie or a DVD with a whole buch of images or a slideshow ? And what is the Operating system on your computer ?

Thanks so much for your quick answer. The problem is that my Macbook Pro does not have Iphoto 11 which is what I was lead to believe is required for the Icloud streaming to work on it. I thought I cloud would work on the Ipad and Iphone but just not stream the photos to my MBP. Does that make sense. And happy holidays...

Load the airport utility onto the win7 computer and that will also load the required files to see the airport.. but you should be able to access it as a normal network drive..
In windows explorer simply type the ip address as normal.. ie \\ipaddress\sharename
Don't use homegroup if you expect anything else to work.

I can see how you create a new mail account but it then asks for an email and password so that doesn't help. I really didn't think it would be a hassle!

You first need to set up a new User Name and Password with your Internet Service Provider (ISP); that is, whoever provides you with Internet access, such as Comcast, AT&T, etc in the US. Alternately you can go on the Internet and set up a new email Account with a new User Name and Password with a public company such as Google's "Gmail" or Microsoft's "Hotmail". Once you have set up your new Account with them, THEN you enter that information into Apple's "Mail" for it to send and receive emails for your new outside Account.

Your iphone 4 must still be logged into your icloud account. Go to settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of page and tap Delete Account. This will remove all your data from the old device but not from icloud or your iphone 5.

You can't use the remote app to setup a network. If your physical remote isn't working you will need borrow another or purchase a replacement.

Plug it into your computer. Tell it to sync with "this computer" instead of iCloud. You shouldn't have to remove any apps. Otherwise, you can save the app data by using i-FunBox ( http://www.i-funbox.com/ ) just go to the "devices" tab and select 'user applications' and select all of your apps and tell iFunBox to "copy to pc" you're done! You have them all backed up.

So the first account is really "yours" and you are setting her up with her own account? It helps to know this because if both are "hers" then there isn't an issue with her having full access to both accounts. If in 10 years she moves 2000 miles away and she is pretty much independent then you may not want her to have full access to your AppleID just so she can authorize a device.

Connect the two via Firewire cable - Transferring files between two computers using FireWire. Boot the old iMac into Target Disk Mode. Boot the new iMac normally.
If you are starting the new iMac for the first time then do the above before you turn on the new iMac. After you turn on the new iMac you will begin in the Setup Assistant. When you complete the registration screens you will be offered an opportunity to migrate your data from another Mac. Follow the instructions to migrate your old Home folder, third-party applications and support files, and system preferences to the new iMac.
