How do I set up my remote disk?

I have been using my MacBook Air for some time now without using an optical drive. I have just installed a new printer and now need to install the drivers and locate the printer. I have downloaded the DVD/CD sharing software onto my windows computer but I can not "see"it although both computers are on the same wireless network. Any suggestions?

Go to the manufacturer's website for the specific printer that you are wanting to install. I can almost guarantee there will be a link for "support," "drivers," "downloads" or something similar that will allow you to simply download everything you need for the installation.
If you need assistance locating it, let me know what brand/model of printer it is and I'll see what I can find. Though I have an external optical drive hooked up through my USB hub to my Air, I verrry rarely use it as I've found that a lot of the time the software/firmware loaded on the disc that comes with many printers and other similar items is outdated or incompatible with Mac, anyway. By downloading what you need from the manufacturer website you're almost certain to get the most up to date and hopefully compatible stuff.

Host we need more details:
What is your server environment (Windows Server, or Mac OS X Server, or Linux)?
What security is implemented in your environment - as what is restricted (RDP for all or specifc credentials on all machines? Are you part of local admin group to the server you wish to connect)?
Does your environment Support CISCO IPSec connection? If so use Settings> VPN and IPSec tab to enter VPN details, if not then go with above suggestion. IF your restricted to RSA then either built in VPN settings or 3rd party app for RSA would suffice.
Finally, there are many RDP applications out there I use "Mocha RDP Light" (free minimal ads when launched not when connecting).

So you are wondering how to make the size change "permanent" for a channel? If so, no, there is no way. If you change the channel the screen size reverts to normal on the new channel, and if you go back to the one where you had set the size it is back to normal there also.

I just switched over to sbcglobal from comcast. Before switching, I had been using an APE as a base station connected with ethernet to my G5 and another APE as a remote. With sbcgobal I got a Gateway 2wire modem. What I would like to know is how do I set up my APE as remote? I need this to be able get my G4 powerbook to connect. I can wireless connect using my G4 a short distance away but if I go to the other end of the house no luck. Thats why I need this remote.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to do this as few non-AirPort routers will work with AirPorts in a Wireless Distribution System (WDS).

You can't use the remote app to setup a network. If your physical remote isn't working you will need borrow another or purchase a replacement.

Try ( alt + cmd + esc ). Gives you a menu of running applications, and a chance to "Force Quit".

Simple answer: no, you can't use that remote with the iPad.
The Camera Connection Kit (CCK) is only for importing pictures. It is not a general purpose USB port so will not work with just any USB device, other than cameras and USB flash drives (but only to import pictures.)

How can I set the Remote app to work if I have lost my apple remote?

I lost my remote to my Apple TV and I can't go into town to get another at the moment because there was a lot of snow and ice here. So, I'm wondering how I can set my iPhone 5 up as a remote using the remote app without the normal remote. I know the remote app used to auto-connect to the Apple TV, but since recent updates, you have to set it up as a remote on the actual Apple TV itself. Is there a way to get around this? Welcome to the Apple Community Dylan.
There is no way to set up home sharing on the Apple TV without the original remote from Apple, you will need to purchase a new remote from the Apple Store.
If you already have homesharing set up on the Apple TV, you merely need to set it up in the remote app settings.
