In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
*do not clear Browsing History
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

Just got U-verse today, how do I set up speed dialing on my phone, I had it with the ATT service, but it does not work with the UVerse

OK - I looked at the manual & see they made it major project. Instead of simply assigning tel numbers to each of the dialing digits, you have to build a directory record first, then you can assign the directory record to a dialing digit.
Looks like the simple part is using it - just press and hold the digit to dial the whole number.
So, it will take 40 minutes or so to break down the steps in understandable prose. It is too late to start now & i have a vet appointment in the am. All day is kind of full. But, I will try to do it tomorrow (thurs the 18th)

Seemed like there should be a speed dial, so I did a search & found the cure is worse than the disease -

From the I want to menu, select Manage my plans and services and then Manage my phone features.
Your U-verse portal will open and a Make a Call box will appear on the left side of the page.
Enter a number to dial or select a number from your Call History or Address Book.
Specify whether you'd like to activate/deactivate Caller ID Blocking and Call Waiting for the call.
Select Place Call.
When your home phone rings, pick it up to place your call.
Important Note
To find numbers in the Call History, you can also sort numbers by missed, answered, outgoing, name, length of call, or type, or search for a specific call.

How to set up speed dial?

I used to have Speed Dial but it suddenly disappeared! I believed I downloaded it again now, but don't know how to set it up. Before, when I opened Bookmarks, I had the option to: Set as Speed Dial. Now that does not show up under the 'Bookmark' tab!

I've figured out the speed dial problem. But I have a much larger problem:
A while ago I used Thunderbird for my email. All was find until it requested a password ~ which I never even had! Eventually I dumped Thunderbird. Now I just installed it again, and right from the start, it asks for a password. I DON"T HAVE ONE! I try to enter one, but it just keeps asking for a password. I'm thinking it wants a NEW password, but it won't except any, nor tell me what's required to make an exceptable password. So I uninstalled it again. If you can help with this I'll reinstall Thunderbird, otherwise I'm done wasting my time with it!

Depends on your definition of speed dial. There is a Favorites list that works well. There are also some apps that allow you to put a one-tap icon on the home screen to make a call. There are no keypad combinations that wil speed dial.

Firefox '''does not''' come with a setting for a page that opens in a new Tab, the default installation always opens a blank page when you open a new Tab. Many extensions include a feature to open their choice of a webpage when you open a new tab, as does the Speed Dial extension which uses a "local page" internal to Firefox.
You need to figure out which extension has taken over that preference that Speed Dial needs to use. You didn't bother providing a Troubleshooting Information... listing as requested when you asked this question, but I can guess your problem is related wither a Yahoo extension or a Conduit / OurToolbar extension - as there is a plugin listed = Package Installer & Install Conduit.

How do I add a speed dial to my iphone with a pause in it to dial an extension?

I can make an icon for a speed dial, but it will not allow me to use a comma as a pause to dial an extion to the phone number. Example: phone number being dialed is 507-555-555 (pause) extension: 55555 http://5075554444,12345.tel.qlnk.net is what I tried.

How do i set burn speed in iphoto

i know i can use the finder to burn cd's of photos and i know i can adjust the burn speed in the finder. is there anyway to adjust the burn speed straight from the iphoto app? i keep getting medium disk errors unless i slow the burn speed all the way down. and please dont tell me to buy different cds, i just want it to work with what i have.
