Would this work for my situation:
iTunes Account is under a pre-Dot Mac/MobleMe Apple ID and I want to also keep my @mac.com email address and Apple ID.
So if I go and convert my MobleMe account over to iCloud, could I then use your suggestion and create a second iCloud account so that I could then use iTunes Match?
This is because Apple can't seem to hire anyone knowledgeable enough to know how to merge two accounts into one (something done thousands of times a day by thousands of other companies) so they say I have to decide: lose all my iTunes Store purchases (music, apps, iBooks) or lose my email address.

You can't buy another one. You have to reuse one of the accounts previously set up on your phone, or create a new one to use on another iOS device (running iOS 5 or higher) or Mac (running OS X 10.7.2 or higher), if you have one.

No: but it costs nothing to create another Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with that. The only caveat is that you must associate a different email address with the new Apple ID from that with the old ID (since the address will itself become the ID) - you could open a free email address with Yahoo or Gmail.

You have to first create the account on an iOS device (an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 5 or later) as described here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html. After the account is created, you then sign into the account on your computer in the iCloud control panel, as described here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.

Thanks... I appreciate the reply. Since I wrote the previous email, I actually went and changed my apple id (the main id) and the documentation I looked at said iCloud will set mail up automatically(?)... I had it working before.
Also, I tried to manually set up the ID via the Mail Accounts screen(s) and I can't figure out what my server information is... Pop or Imap? What's the outgoing server and the incoming server?
I typically have never had problems setting up mail accounts (in apple mail) with no problem.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If you don't want to sync the iCloud email account on her devices, all you would need to do is go to Settings>iCloud on her devices and turn Mail off. This would remove the email account from her devices but would leave any other iCloud syncing services that you want to use with the account in place.

my family has 2 iPhones 1 iPad 1 Macbook and 1 iMac. I had all the devices set up with one iCloud under 1 Apple ID. I'm not sure what they told your at the Apple store, but each Apple ID can only create a single iCloud account. If you want separate accounts for all these devices, they will have to be created using separate IDs. Note: you can do this and still share the same ID for other services such as your iTunes store account. The iCloud ID does not need to be the same as the ID used for other services.
To create an account, go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with a different Apple ID. If you want to migrate a copy of the current iCloud data to the different accounts, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the devices keeping the current account will not be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.

An apple ID is an account. If your family require that their contacts, calendars etc are separate from each other, they all need their own Apple ID (account).
iCloud is a different service from iTunes, you can all use different Apple IDs for your iCloud service, would use the same ID for iTunes, thereby being able to share your music, apps, books, TV shows and movies et cetera.

Not through iCloud you did not - that has never been possible. When using iCloud (either the find my iPhone app or online in a web browser) you can ONLY track the devices using the same iCloud account as the one you logged in with. How do I fix it to where I can make a new account? I really need to know because I happen to lose my phone often and the "Find My Phone" thing was really useful when I had my other accounts. You can make an account on another iDevice or on a computer. Then you can
