How do I share movies on a pen drive?

I had tried earlier to use a 4 GB pendrive for sharing my videos and found that though the movie was copied onto the pendrive, I could not get my mini DVD player to play the same. Being informed that I need to do this on an 8 GB pendrive, I purchased it and found that I was unable to watch the movies, the error stated being that its codec was not right.
In the screenshot below is given the info of a movie and any guidance in this matter will be appreciated.

Thanks for this further info. My need is to get my mini DVD player to play movies stored on my pendrive. I have found this file of the project I had burnt in my 'DOCUMENTS'. Upon clicking this file, the iDVD turned up as shown in the screenshot. What I need is to transfer only a few of the movies I have on this project to my pendrive. The screenshot is given below and it has: 1...the information about the file, 2...the iDVD, and 3...the 'documents'.
From here, can I burn a disk image, and, can such a disk image be played upon my low cost DVD mini player?

Oops, I forgot a step between 7 and 8 ... before syncing the iPhone I need to explicitly send the document back to iTunes on the iPhone, or the changes won't come over at all ...
and then one more thing ... Numbers on iOS does NOT recognize a number of key features of the OSX app, such as conditional formatting ... so after editing my document on iOS and syncing it back to OSX on my Mac, all of those settings are lost (no more conditional formatting, have to do it all over again)
What am I doing wrong ?

  • How do you share movies with another account?

My wife and I have separate iTunes accounts, and she wants to be able to see the videos I buy and vice versa. How do you share movies and t.v. shows through home sharing?

One of you creates/owns the calendar on iCloud.com and then they can click the sharing icon (tilted wi-fi circle) and choose "private" put the other person's appleID email address and give View & Edit capability.  Then you should be able to Join the calendar and both make edits/updates to it.

how can i share movies i purchased on my itouch with my sons itouch?

You should always transfer anything purchased on your ipod to your computer ( and included it in your regular backup of your computer).
You can sync the movie from your computer to the other ipod as you would sync anything else.

  • How do i clear movies off my hard drive ? the storage is almost full and i can't clear it ?

how do i clear movies from the hard drive on my macbook ?

    Hi gpzjamie,
If you need to free up space on your Mac by deleting the movies you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, then please follow the directions below for help with deleting movies.
    Mac or PC
    Open iTunes.
From the Library pop-up menu, choose Movies.
Click Movies in the navigation bar.
Click the movie you want to delete.
    Press Delete on your keyboard.
In iTunes 11 or later, the movie cover art will remain visible, but a Download  icon will appear on it to allow you to download the item again (in countries that support this).

  • How do I remove movies from my hard drive?

I tried to update my system and it says that I don't have enough space on my hard drive. When I went to delete files it shows quite a bit of space being taken up by movies. I don't have any movies on my iTunes but they are on my cloud. How do I remove them from my hard drive? I am a rookie Mac user so if you can help please help with steps. Thanks!

I suggest that you download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper (free) and open it.   It will show all of your files and the respective sizes.  Delete or transfer to an external HDD what you do not want on your internal drive.  Don't forget to empty Trash.
    Ciao.

  • How to access documents stored in a pen drive or sd card?

    Hi folks,
Is there a way to access docs stored in a pen drive through ipads? I know I can sabe docs using clouds , however, I'm interested also in access docs directly from pen drives. Tks, NivaldoT

A USB pen drive or DS card (using the camera connection kit) can only be used to import photos & videos. Can't be used to export any type of file.

  • HT4906 How do I share/move my Iphoto slide show with my Ipad?

Export it to the Finder, which will make a QuickTime movie of it. Add that to iTunes and sync.

  • How can I share my entire iMac hard drive over a network to my Macbook Pro?

I tried setting up a network, and I was able to successfully transfer a couple of files...but some files just wont transfer to my Macbook when I try to transfer them.
What gives? It tells me on certain files that I cannot get them because I dont have correct permissions. When I command-I to get the folder/file info...I'm not even able to change priviledges to "READ & WRITE". "READ" is the only option available.
Can someone please point out what Im missing? I'm trying to transfer a large amount of files from my imac to macbook pro so that I can sell my iMac. It's not letting me transfer all of them.
    Thanks in advance everyone!

and how do I log into the other computer as an administrator? the files i want to transfer i just movies, music, documents, etc.
    Two methods:
    1) Log into the other computer using the username of an administrator on that computer
    2) Log into the other computer using the username of the account that holds the movies, music, documents, etc.

  • How do i put movies on my hard drive into itunes? so frustrated please help

I just got my 80G iPod and i cant seem to figure it out. Please help.

Well my buddy has his own movies on his iPod that he did not buy from the iTunes Store(i cannot call to ask him how), and the guy at the Apple store told me that yes it is possible to put your own movies onto your iTunes by converting the movie to the right format- and he said that you can purchase Quicktime Pro and it will make it the right format- but i was wondering if there was a different way.

  • How do I share one folder on iCloud Drive

Me and my wife have different AppleID. We are going paperless and want to share one folder either on my or her iCloud Drive.
Using a mutual Dropbox account today but want to be inside Apples ECO-system.
Called Apple and they told me not possible. Are they correct?

AsI said - you have to open the application folders and delete the documents  inside - for each folder separately. And wait for these changes to sync.
The folders themselves cannot be deleted, only their content.
The iCloud setting for the applications are device specific. If you enabled an app for iCloud on any device, you will see the application collection in iCloud, even if you disable it on other devices.
If one disables the apps in the iCoud System Preferences, their folders disappear in the finder but are still in the cloud -- and there is a big pile of other garbage.
First delete the documents in the folders, until they are empty on iCloud, then hide the folders on your devices by disabling the app in the "Manage my storage" iCloud preferences.
I want to reliably delete ALL data (including any folders or metadata Apple lets us not see) -- a complete reset for iCloud Drive
You can only delete documents you move to iCloud drive, not Apple's maintenance files.
And you can only reset each device individually, that is using iCloud Drive, by disabling iCloud Drive, rebooting, signing in again. But you cannot reset the central storage in iCloud.
    - and there is a big pile of other garbage.
What kind of other garbage, beside the application collections?

  • How can I share/access a second hard drive on my 'puter?

Actually, the second drive is on my G4 running Tiger; it's Drive2 because it's not the boot drive, and I'd like it to be available to everyone in the house, but especially me. I'll access it from my MacBook(10.6), the other folks from the G4 itself. But when I'm on the MacBook, the Drive2 is never even visible as a target when I try to connect. That's the first thing I'd like to fix. Later we can figure out privacy/ownership issues for the files we put there.
From the MacBook, I can logon to the G4's boot drive as a guest—which seems to happen automatically, but only accesses public folders—or as a User of one of the accounts on it, but I don't get Drive2 either way. I accidentally discovered that if I connect as admin I do get an option to see both drives, but not to access my files on Drive2, nor my own account on the boot drive; I just get to mess about in the admin account, as one would expect. But if I sit at the G4 and logon I can see and use both drives. I have mucked with ownerships and 'Ignore ownerships …' to a dangerous degree, and no suucess. It would be a kindness if someone could tell me the default settings I should have recorded.
What must/can I do to make the second drive a free-for-all-users place in my tiny wee home network? Since it already is accessible for anyone on the G4, that question actually reduces to: How can I make the second, non-boot HD on a Tiger G4 available to a user on a SnowLeopard MacBook?
I know there's a place for this question in the Tiger forums, but I have to start somewhere, and double-posting's not helpful.

Right-click the volume icon and select Encrypt... from the popup menu.

  • How to put ituness movies onto separate hard drive?

I have just started to downloads films from the itunes store, however I don't want to clog up my Mac's hard drive. Is there any way to put the Movies onto an external hard drive? Please bear in mind I watch the films by streaming to Apple TV.

    1. The data won't be erased unless a problem occurs.
    2. The Time Machine backup should be on a different drive, as drives can fail.
