- You can AirPlay it on an Apple TV or other device that supports AirPlay
- You can connect an adopter and connect the iPod to a TV
- You can import the move to your computer and then do what you want to do with it.
- If your school's SmartBoard supports uploading from an iOS device (iPod touch, iPhone or iPad) you can directly upload to the board. Otherwise you will have to transfer to computer to upload to the board.
- Transfer the the movie to DropBox or similar cloud serve and then distribute how you wish.

How do I share certain albums in my iphoto library with other users....
without using the fast user switching/sharing preference in iphoto?
I have about 12,000 photos in my library of which about 6000 are for work. I would like to share all of my non work photos with the other users on my imac. I would rather not use the fast user switching and keep the iphoto application open for all the users. I would like to either import only selected albums to the user account or add them to the shared folder for their access. How can I export/import only the albums I wish to share without having to do it manually for each? Should I make a copy of the library, add it to the other users accounts and then delete the photos? Or can I put the library in the shared folder and limit access to certain albums? I don't think it would make too much sense to have a duplicate library since I only have about 10GB left on my HD.With iPhoto 6 you can place the source files, i.e. exported the full sized files for those albums you want to share, in appropriately names folders in the Shared folder. Then have each user create an new library with iPhoto's alias mode, i.e. create alias files of the source files instead of copying the a full sized version into the library. This way each of the other users can have a working library and you only have to have one copy of each file on the HD. Saves a lot of space. Any edits that one user performs will not be seen by the other users. If a user delete a photo from their library only the alias files is deleted. The source files are untouched.
The downside to this method is if you add a file(s) to the Shared folder each of the other users will have to import that file into their own library. An easy way around that is to always put new photos in new folders and let the others know there are new ones to import. You could also divide your library up into to two, keeping your work library a conventional one and removing the "shared" source photos and have a similar alias based library for the personal photos that are in the Shared folder. Then use iPhoto Library Manager or iPhoto Buddy to quickly switch between the two. I have 7 libraries that I use iPLM to switch between. It's very convenient and fast. If you want to convert over entirely to an alias system, both work and personal, here's a way to retain the keywords you've assigned to them. See tutorial #2 here.

How can I share an ibook that is 250 megs with others without using the ibook store

I'm using ibook author and the book I have created is 250 megs. I'm having trouble sharing it and getting on my new ibook air. Does anyone know if there is a good way to share the file with others without publishing it or using iTunes?
I'd ideally like to use something like Dropbox or my website but every time I try to download the file using one of these sites safari/apple says file not readable.
Any help would be appreciated.

1) export ibook author file as an xxxxxx.ibooks
2) upload xxxxx.ibooks to dropbox and then send my self a test link
3) using safari i download the xxxxx.ibooks file
4) while still in safari a page opens up with an icon for the xxxx.ibooks file and it has two buttons underneath it- one that says "open with..." and another that says "open in ibooks"
THIS IS WHERE THE IBOOK PROBLEM STARTS
5) I tap on the "open in ibooks" button - nothing happens
6) I tap on the "open with..." button and an icon for the ibook app pops up
7) I tap on the ibook app icon and nothing happens
8) I tap and hold the "open in ibooks" button for 2 plus minutes (the time for holding the button down fluctuates from 45 seconds to 5 minutes)
9) the xxxxxx.Ibooks file opens in the ibook app.
I am very happy that I was able to get the xxxxx.ibooks file to open on my ipad. However, this is not a smooth or intuitive process. I need to share the xxxxxx.ibooks file with many people and I want to find a process for getting them the book that is very easy.
any advice is appreciated

So I took a video with my Iphone and got it to my PC (Windows XP) and I opened it in Quicktime Pro 7.5 and have looked all over for the "share" button. Again, I have Windows XP, not Mac. Is this feature not available to Windows users? I have looked online and see that Mac users have this feature in the drop down under "File". It's not in my drop down. Can someone verify that this feature is or is not available to Windows users as well. All I want to do is email a movie. Thanks.

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry. If you look at the effect of deep discharging Lithium-Ion batteries in the data from the independent test group, Battery University, you will see that doing so shortens the life of the battery significantly. To view your library on another computer on the same network, you could use "Sharing". Set the iPhoto Preferences to share your entire library or selected albums:

iPhoto Libraries cannot be synched between computers. If you want to have the libraries on both computers identical, you need to use the same library on both machines. Store your iPhoto library on an external disk (formatted MacOS X Extended (Journaled) and plug the disk into the mac you are currently working with. Don't put the library onto a network drive - that will be a very sow access and may corrupt your photo library.
To add new photos/events to iPhoto your other mac you can use the Photo Stream.
Finally, how do all of these photos with edits, etc relate to what I see on my iPad 3rd generation and iPhone 5?
You can only sync one iPhoto library with each OS device. If you sync a device alternately with each computer using iTunes Photo sync, the albums synced from the other photo library will be replaced by the new sync.

Yes, gladly. I am trying to install on a 13" MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.3. I insert the disk into the SuperDrive. The I work '09 window pops up with two icons: one Tim install and one that says "Read before you install iWork." I double-click on the "Install iWork '09" icon, and a window appears that says, "This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed." I click "continue" and see "Welcome to the iWork '09 installer." I click on "Continue." The "read me" bullet on the left lights up, and I see "Read before you install. . . ." I click "Continue," then see the software license agreement. When I click on "Continue" again, I am asked to agree, and I do. The window then says, "Standard Install on 'Mackintosh HD" and indicates how much space the program will take.
I click "Install," enter my password, and the installation begins. It goes through a validating phase and begins "writing files." It indicates that installation will take about 30 minutes (although that number fluctuates). After about four minutes it goes to "cleaning up." Then after just a few seconds, the "Summary" bullet on the left lights up and this message appears: "There were errors with the installation. You may want to try installing again." There is a large yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it, and a bold "The installation failed." Below that appears "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
At that point, a "Close" button is pulsating blue at the bottom of the window.

In what file type and compression format did you download the YouTube content? I.e., to avoid such issues, you would normally download the source files as content that is natively compatible with your target player or convert incompatible file type/compression format combinations to files that are compatible with your targeted media player. -
I changed my primary email and icloud is still set for my old email. I tried deleting my icloud but it aks me for the old password associated with the old email that I don't have anymore. Any other sugestions on how to get icloud to change emails on my ios?
I figured it out! I changed my email & password at the icloud site, then when I deleted the icloud account on my iphone - it still showed my old email but when i typed in my current password it went through. I was then able to sign back in with my current email and password. That was too easy for the amount of time I have put into this! Glad its finally fixed.
